Oh boy, the fun begins.

Won't really say much other than that Lotta Hart's voice is a lot cuter than I was expecting. Oh, and I suppose the pacing for this episode was unexpectedly off, they really wanted to get to that conclusion. Not that I mind particularly much, could've made for some more tense or emotional scenes, but I'm pretty hyped for the upcoming trial.

i liked that maya/edgeworth moment and how they gave maya's trauma a little more spotlight than in the games. felt like that, anyway. also the berry big circus ad oh geez givin me a headache already

Maaan, this series completely brought back my Ace Attorney feels. ;___;

I really liked Maya and Phoenix's interactions, and Edgeworth is still cool to me, and oh my god.

Originally, I watched one episode and stopped because I wasn't super impressed with the first one, but then someone reminded me about it a couple of weeks ago, and I caught up and it's really pretty good. I feel like that series deserves a bigger budget, but also TV animation is always lesser than will release on the DVDs, so eh.

Cool that they still kept Van Karma's snapping fingers gimmick, haha. Kinda interesting at the end they put an extra scene with Yogi there. That parrot man, that parrot.

I haven't seen it yet, but let me also say that I love how they reference the sprite animations so often. Always makes me laugh.

Very solid episode, this time. Great atmosphere, probably some of the better pacing I've seen from the show, they actually put 5 more dollars in the budget, and a lot happened. Really enjoyed this one, that in mind...

Please, PLEASE someone tell me I'm wrong and give me the comfort of knowing that the stun gun scene happens later and they didn't cut it from this.

The stun gun incident happens before the parrot witness, so I think it'll happen next episode.

I too thought it was a pretty solid episode this time around. I noticed Maya has the metal detector, and we all know how important that plays later on, lol.

Today's episode, Polly time. Before I make some comments, anyone heard of this news? XD

One interesting difference in today's episode, Grossberg was put as a witness instead of the conversation happening during the game's investigations phase. Looks like though because they have Polly the parrot on the stand and then immediately go with Edegeworth claiming he's responsible for his father's death, the stun gun scene is probably taken out. D= Unless the next episode does a short investigations scene, not sure how they'll add the one crucial evidence for the DL-6 Incident.

Concerning episode count, I think I heard it'll be 26 episodes? I'm not really sure, though. If that's true, not sure if the Skye sisters case will be shown. D=

Now for today's episode.

Oh my gosh Larry pretending to be Edgeworth. XD That had me laughing outloud for a while. The gun stun scene is still being shown thank goodness, though that went differently. Maya did a great objection there. I feel Van Karma admitting his crime did get rushed a bit.

So next episode looks like it'll be backstory for the boys. Should be fun.

The entirety of the second half of the episode got me stuck in this loop of laughing and trying to be serious because it is serious, but it was mostly laughing. (Wright opening the evidence box with that horn and the music stopping, and Larry pretending to be Edgeworth were the best)
The double objection with Wright and Edgeworth was really cool and I was worried that they cut out the taser scene, but I was wrong. I like the new one better because it isn't stuck with the whole, "Wright is an idiot and showed essential evidence to von Karma".
They took out von Karma's bashing his head against the wall scene though...

This puppy looks like Missile from Ghost Trick. Just look at him.

I think it's a pretty cute episode. Love the dog, haha. I laughed at one part where Phoenix and Larry were making the hero stances but Miles is shy, lol. Little Miles needs to be protected at all costs.

Yup, next episode goes straight to Reunion and Turnabout. Looks like the tutorial case from the second game might be skipped, which is fine. The Skye sisters before that looks like it'll be skipped too, which while I'm sad I can understand as it's a pretty long case. I can probably see it might be referenced in some form. Ema at least makes a return in the sixth game.

The investigation part was kinda rushed, but Pearl still amuses me very much. I'm curious if they'll feature psyche-lockes in the anime and if so how it'll be portrayed.

I noticed in the new anime opening they referenced Phoenix's dream from the tutorial case, which was kinda cute exactly. Then there's the characters from the circus case. Yeah, not looking forward to that, lol.

Yep. Pretty worried about the fate of Maggey Byrde, though she'll definitely appear in the T&T arc!

I could see Rise from the Ashes being an OVA or potentially a movie (unlikely), though. Maybe a flashback arc. I wouldn't be too surprised if we saw something from it in the future.

Considering Rise from the Ashes wasn't added until the remake of the first game, which was made post-Gyakuten Saiban 2, they don't really have to. I'm not even sure they're going past the original show- to be honest, I was surprised that they were even going past the first game.

Not saying they shouldn't, that case is really solid and would be great animated. Hopefully. I'm gonna call OVA on this.
