Whew. These posts coming in are going to be a doozy for FMN. And that Druag post was especially... unique. I especially liked the description of his gouged-out eye. Just a minor, gruesome detail that really stuck out to me, how it twitched with the flexing of his other eye. Yugh. And looks like Samuel is getting a backbone! Where'd this inspiration come from? Is Samuel going to be a true savior? Well, Amaryllis has to find that medicine first.

I wonder what would happen if Spora actually used Spore on the entire crew and they all fell asleep or became paralyzed. I wonder how that scenario would crumble my entire RP.

Dud, I'm surprised Benicle is just accepting the circumstances as is. I would have thought, considering his personality is described as "unusually rash" that he would be, well, doing something for the situation, even as terribly shallow and inconsiderate as he's revealed himself to be with that line of inner thought. You know, I thought he'd be buzzing around, searching for something or other, perhaps in the Supply Room without any further consultation or having further jumped to conclusions, or maybe speaking hastily and excitedly to Amaryllis to help while jumping the gun to directly assist how he short-sightedly feels would help.

I say this to say that I just want you to keep in mind in the future your character's defining personality traits, and in what ways your character can achieve his self-proclaimed quest to become a fit enough citizen to return from his exile from Farlance. It would benefit Benicle to have a kind of conscience to steer him back to that goal of self-improvement, and for his desire to make friends to manifest a little more than this current sit-and-observe that he's done the last few posts towards his co-workers.

If you need any help with that or ideas, I'm available, and I'm sure your other fellow players are willing to provide some constructive criticism as well, should you ask.

Its hard to find a happy medium there. I do agree that Benicle would usually do something like you described, but it's hard to see him doing that for someone he does not like. However, Benicle is not going to say something like, "I'm not going to help." Because then he runs the risk of losing his job, which he does not want to lose at this time.

Personally, when I write, I usually go for the option that takes more physical action. It makes for interesting writing challenges and gives other players something juicy to react to that leads to more creative moments. While I can say I personally enjoyed reading Benicle having some salty thoughts, it is kind of uninteresting to react to "what would you like me to do" versus him saying/doing something character-driven or provocative.​

In addition to Elwood's suggestion which can be very helpful for an animated Pokemon like a Ninjask, the situation Benicle is witnessing is very clearly urgent. Even if Benicle doesn't like someone (for reasons that were just as rash as Rina looking at him the wrong way one minute, or not looking at him at all the next), it would be hard to say that he's someone who has an interest in making friends if he's expressly on the standby when someone is, you know, choking to death, offering help in a way that comes off as very removed.

As I said before, I think it'd benefit you to give Benicle a conscience for self-improvement to be a fit citizen, since that's ultimately his goal for a return to Farlance. This isn't to say he can't have these negative thoughts and moments where he is disengaged, but since you've established in his history that he has a clear path for development, when it is most appropriate or when he's faced with a situation that more than urges decisiveness, redirecting him into that "How can I improve this situation" mindset will help him grow in that direction.

That mental question allows for him to 1) react rashly as an answer and 2) be the guy who really does have the intention to "make friends" and grow in "wisdom", even if he messes up or initially reacted negatively beforehand.

Do you understand my intentions and hope for your character? I just want him to shine uniquely in every post through his niche role to the group dynamic.

And the few lucrative gems and minerals we find here and there in my mining exploration team, well, those aren't a bad sell either! In fact, this little nugget beside me here gets his supplies from me!"

AARON: "But it seems you bitty ores are that amazed by my transformation, haruh harah! Sure, I'll answer your questions! It's a little short so you may not see it under my pick axe chin, but I've got a necklace here of three pendants. One's this grey orb, this other is my favorite piece of sea glass I found on a beach one day, and this other one is this rainbow orb. Now the sea glass isn't anything but these two orbs in each other's presence get to glitter, and when I start feeling convicted, they activate, and here I am! No meddling human necessary! Course though, since I'm so used to this form now, I can sustain it by will so much longer than when I first discovered it. Only time this power ever escapes me now is when it's time to go to bed from a hard day of mine and smelt!"

Elsewhere, deep in cliffs or caves, the ground, maybe even in the ocean, there are these special rocks that react to this rainbow colorful stone here, and only certain Pokemon can benefit from it. But with the right match, I think anybody can experience what I do now on the daily!"​

You ... just walk around Mega ...? I mean, I've heard of a handful of ways to get around needing a human, but I didn't think anyone actually did that. Don't you have problems with people trying to steal those special rocks that do that? I had to help guard a collection of them once, but maybe this is just a nicer neighborhood, I guess. And what do you need to do that makes you have to keep that going? I'd always thought it was just something for battling, you don't just go to the Arena all the time, do you?

To Cullinan:
Hum, I don't know if I recognize you or not but I did deal with a Carbink a long time ago out of this town. You wouldn't happen to know a Heatmor, would you? His name was ... oh, hell, this is embarrassing. Everyone just called him Iggy, but his name was something like Ignaccio or Ignojund, I actually can't remember it. Anyway, I was helping him with bringing up a vein of silver a few years ago and we traded it with a Carbink here, was that you? Or do you only sell finished materials and not the rougher ore and things?
