what's the point your trying to argue?

despite the general feeling of "righteous indignation" that's not actually my point. there are tons of past examples of fervently anti-gay activists that turned out to be gay and I wouldn't be surprised if same was true in this case.

  • It's actually been scientifically demonstrated that the most homophobic males are the ones who get the greatest sexual arousal from viewing homosexual porn. Look it up.

Put simply, there are parts of this guy's mind that he is trying desperately to bury; he does this by projecting his own "evil" onto others. He knows there's evil, but it's not in him, so it must be in that guy, or this guy, or anyone but himself. Yet all feelings arise within oneself and nowhere else.

This is probably the most dangerous form of insanity as it is completely undetectable to the victim.

Pero, que sera, sera. We're all loco, just some more than others. Hopefully, he'll overcome and we'll all be better for it.

Steven L. Anderson has had a queer creepy obsession with Justin Bieber since staring at "giant posters" of Justin back in 2011.

  • Everybody is entitled to their own opinions on anything. But, how is this guy a preacher? Most Christians I know don't say anything like this.

either way, this guy seems like an insecure little man pretending to be the opposite of what he is. i would not trust him around small children, especially if their little boys.
i also find it kinda funny that if you google his name, the first result is a murderer

First question: why is this news?

Prejudice shouldn't be sensationalised, it should be stamped out. Assault is genderless, and knows no difference between physical and mental. In situations like this, these people should be charged because if it was someone who attacked a religious organisation in the same way they would have no problem filing a dispute.

My main problem with putting things like this on the news is that it puts the wrong thing in the limelight. The more you propagate such hatred towards a group of individuals, the more these people will see themselves heard and believe that their hate crimes are validated.

Despite being two completely different cases, it uses the same logic as to why you shouldn't make a killer into some kind of anti-hero, and give them 24 hour coverage. These people should be educated, not given a voice in media like they have a valid point.

this started out as a platform for someone who doesn't deserve it and has continued to be just that for the bunch of weirdos hanging out in here deciding who's a sinner and what makes someone gay for everyone else whilst in all likelihood still calling themselves 'ally'

i'm not even gonna go into the transmisogyny that's shone out of this tangent's ass from the beggining

We're all born with sin & some people are born gay. At least that's how I see it.

Type in "pastor Steven L. Anderson", you'll find more results on him.

i would not trust him around small children, especially if their little boys.

Me neither, especially due to these videos, and the way he "hates" these "fa**oty, sissified" teen idols and actors who appeal to teenage girls is most likely out of jealousy... Also, he stated that "All 'homos' are perverts" after saying he wants "no 'homos' in his church", is his statement about "homos" being perverts from his own personal experience?

isn't he sort of perverted because you said he was staring at posters of justin bieber and stuff?

For some reason I think that he probably started out as a nice guy, but idk what would make him think like this. There is no way he completed his studies of the bible and stuff filled with all of this hatred...

I'd say it comes from the way one is raised, how there taught growing up has an impact on their adult life as well.

Yea, the feelings have to be there originally from childhood. You are probably right and I bet he surrounds himself with people who also feel this way, and that increases his negative feelings.

"Power in numbers" comes to mind. Though, he is clearly an idiot. I won't be attending a church that he's in anytime soon.

I agree 100%. This pastor is clearly deluded and gets things wrong.

I am against homosexual marriage and do not support it because that is not how marriage is defined by God. I believe homosexual actions are a sin. However, that does not mean homosexuals are not human or deserve worse treatment than I. They simply sin differently- if they deserve such persecution, than I should as well because I tend to be prideful. They just sin differently- they aren't any different from anyone else. The Bible says to love EVERYONE, not just certain people. I would be happy to be friends with a homosexual or transgender, just as anyone else. That does NOT mean I am homophobic, so dont get me wrong.

That guy really needs to read his Bible.

Well I'm Bisexual. Grew up in a Christian family, so I know all I need to know. I never push my views on someone else unless they push theirs on me. Everybody is born with sin and the only way to get rid of it is to accept Jesus into your heart. Afterwards, it would be by repent. Love the person, not the sin. Is what your saying. I would say I live in sin, yet I can't explain the reason why I feel the way I do. I remember as a kid actually trying to repent to get rid of the feelings, yet there still here. But, the only one that can judge me is God himself. When the day comes that is.

I am not perfect on my theology, but I think we can actually judge each other righteously. Basically, dont judge others if you are also sinful in the same way or worse I think. Not too sure, I have to read Matthew again. :)

If someone wanted to convert someone else, it is never a good idea to force someone to believe something. All it would do is make them hate the belief or lie about it.

Yes, love the person, not the sin. Our sin does not define us...its what we do about it. do we ignore the fact we sin or actively try and stop?

I dont think repented removes the feelings, but it can remove a burden off of your chest. When the day comes, that is when we get rid of the negative feelings.

I believe that Christ is my savior, though I don't follow a Church. I also don't follow religion, reason being it has split into several different ones.
