I actually started yesterday. I traded out my starter for a Houndour egg. I caught a Machop to use as a Rock Smash HM slave. After five tries, I finally beat the the first Gym leader. Had to get Houndour up to level 18 before it was possible. I am now in B1F of Oreburgh Gate. Now I must sleep. Good night!

• Lost to Craig ( Rival ), Then beat him, his stupid turtwig kept using withdraw
• Beat Oreburghs Gym on 2nd go, leveling up Splash
• Emperor evolved into Prinplup somewere in Floaroma.
• Splash didnt learn tackle, it turned gay instead.
• Got to Floroama, beat the Grunts.
• Saved, contiuing later today

Well, I got out of Oreburgh Gate B1F.
Defeated Galactic Grunts in Jubilife City.
Entered Eterna Forest and started traveling with Cheryl.
Houndour evolved at level 24 into Houndoom.

Since I have finished my latest challenge on the DS, i need a new one because I'm a nerd. I will play a Fighting-type challenge on Pearl.

Update: I got pretty far, I'm in Eterna now (but didn't fight Gardenia/Galactic yet). I am not going to tell anything in detail, I forgot most stuff anyways.

After obtaining my starter (Piplup, so I don't need to catch any pokemon for Surf) I headed out for Sandgem Town and caught a Bidoof along the way named HM slave (I know, original, right?) Raced on to Jubilife city and after catching a Budew named Sprout ditched my starter in the PC. Went to the cave above Jubilife and caught a Zubat named Echo. After training them for a while took on rival and won with ease. Now I'm in Oreburgh City (haven't challenged the Gym yet.
