No,in this case, V doesnt represent the roman number.I have my own reasons to name the first beta beta V.

Ray, I don't think he's overly concerned about the V or any other numerals used for naming betas but I think he was just curious and then letting you know that he knew what you meant when you explained the reason and that he's not going to question it about you again.
