What kind of Water-type specialist would you like to see in the future generations? (Occupation, personality, even age wise.) Feel free to express your opinions.

    Name: Tensano

Partner pokemon: Starmie. (they aint just for girls you know.) :D

Reason: The water type is very diverse and have a lot of ways to cover their weaknesses.
I've also always loved the water irl. swimming and fishing are a lot of fun.
Also the first pokemon I ever IV bred is a Staryu, now a Starmie named Engetsu. :D

C'mon Starmie are genderless; they are neither muscular or feminine in appearance, IMO. Hahaha!

Welcome aboard Tensano, please answer the current topic (for more check the post before your application post), in order to complete your application. Thank you!

    Sorry bout' that! :p
Anyway, I'd like to see more water type specialist in the games since there are some interesting type combos.
Like water/ground and water/electric. Also I think it would be pretty funny if I came across a gym leader that only used crabs.
    XD
There's lots of crab pokemon. :D
Like maybe an old cranky sailor that "has crabs."
...I don't think gamefreak would ever do that though. XD

What kind of Water-type specialist would you like to see in the future generations?

I'd like to see someone like Phoebe of the Elite Four. She reminds me of a Water-type user but then uses Ghosts (what?). I could see someone like her with a bubbly personality as a Water-type specialist.

If only there was a ghost/water type in gen 3. :p
But yeah, I always wonder why they give her that design with no water pokemon. XD

I suppose she's meant to look like a voodoo girl but the design says beach party to me. lol

    ~~Diving Deep~~ (A Water Pokemon Fan Club)

The CSS code update has been completed. This Water-type Club is due to transfer to one of the forum's star, Hikamaru, on June 22. =) I'm sure she's going to take care of this club very well. Thank you for all for all the love and support to this club. Please continue to do the same under Nichole's lead. Love you all.

Well its been a while but im back
What kind of Water-type specialist would you like to see in the future generations?
I would like to see one like a rival that would work like a normal rival but has a diverse spread of water pokemon
Or a new trainer class like Monotyper or Gym leader applicant that has a diverse spread of water pokemon

The stuff mentioned so far is very interesting, but I'd definitely like to see another Water-type Elite Four member. I loved Siebold in that he broke the usual trend of the type always mainly being used by Gym Leaders. As for trainer classes, I don't think we'd need another one since we have so many already.

Nickname: LucarioFan3, LF3, Aura Squirtle (Any of those are fine by me)
    Partner: Squirtle
Reason: I love Water types due to how strong they are. With only two weaknesses, most of them being able to counter Grass with Ice Beam/ Blizzard, yadayadayada. They're just so tough!

Welcome aboard! My friend (aka the outgoing owner as you may have now heard) should soon be here to add you to the list, but great to have you on board this ship nonetheless.

Squirtle is an absolute fan favorite, as with all the other Kanto starters so no surprise here. I do agree that Water-types are pretty strong given their usefulness and very few weaknesses, one of which they can counter with those aforementioned Ice-type moves. Hope you have fun delving into tons of other Water Pokemon discussions during your time here!

Updated the member list for you, sweetie. ;)
The club should be under yours tomorrow, our timezone differs from Alex's but I believed you already noted that part. :)

You should be answering the current topic as it;s supposedly not right to add you to the list. Never mind that part, have fun and welcome aboard! ;) Please join in the discussion too!

Here's my final topic as a Captain here. :pink_nod:
Current Topic: Why are Rock-types and Ground-types weak against Water-type moves?

I think the Water-type moves used by the Pokémon aren't your normal average water we see here IRL, they might be composed with different chemicals? Similar to how the acid rain damages sculptures and statues, which is acidic in that case.

Why are Rock-types and Ground-types weak against Water-type moves?

There's a pretty typical reason why these weaknesses exist, because the Ground-type is typically based around dirt, sand and even mud and when those are hit by water they tend to turn into a muddy mess. Rock-types on the other hand, the weakness is probably due to the fact that water causes erosion and that can wash rocks out of the way.

Reason for joining the club: Water Pokémon are among one of my favorites, not to mention how it is very versatile in battle and in field.

Why are Rock-types and Ground-types weak against Water-type moves?
Grounds often become wet if it's exposed to water, which can make it muddy, and water often removes some part of the rock and causes erosion too.

    ~~Diving Deep~~ (A Water Pokemon Fan Club)

Reason for joining the club: Water type Pokemons are stand strong against other types, where most of them are cute and strong(Ex: lapras). Not to mention they have also a major boost in Rain condition.

Why are Rock-types and Ground-types weak against Water-type moves?
I think why ground type have weakness from water as ground is made up of dirt and sand and when it mixed with Water it become distorted and muddy :(
As for Rocks its weakness is due to rockes with water makes the rocks slippery and Soft.

Welcome aboard to both of you! Do apologize if I don't pay much attention because I had you know, something bad happen to me again and that means not much from me other than checking on clubs and a few other stuff here and there, but hopefully in a couple of weeks I should be feeling okay again.

And nice partner choice there Jatin, I feel like Corsola gets no love but it has one of the best-looking shinies from my point of view with that beautiful aqua blue colour. Nice to see something more original here.

I'll go and add you to the list soon!

    Joining this club!

    Your nickname: Dragoz
    Your partner Pokemon: Swanna
Reason for joining the club: I always pick a water-type starter. Then, one time, I challenged myself to getting an 5 water-type team(1 was HM Slave, sorry) and it was one of the best challenges I've ever tried.

Why are Rock-types and Ground-types weak against Water-type moves?
For Rock, Geodude always comes up to my mind. He looks like the sort of rock that easily breaks down as soon as you put water on it. As for Ground, they turn to mud.

Aye! Welcome aboard to PokéCommunity's official and one and only Water-type Club!
I recall doing that chalenge on Ruby version. The challenge was not that difficult but certainly amazing and interesting!

The owner of the club is a bit unavailable due to personal matters. Fear not, she's going to add you to the seafarer list soon for sure! ;)

Enjoy your time here and see you around!

As you may have heard, I have been not feeling well but happy late welcome on board, DforDragoz! Love your partner choice in Swanna there, nice to see some more original stuff in there and I do admit it's a beautiful Pokemon. Had some fun experience with a rain-abusing Hydration Swanna on Showdown once (Its moveset had Hurricane which has perfect accuracy in rain, as well as instant wake-ups from Rest thanks to Hydration), which was awesome.

Hope you have fun riding this ship and answering all the great topics that come your way.
