  • Well, its a console with a very thin library of indepth games coming up this quarter, but I'd give it a shot when the price drops.

But I completly agree with twocows.

It seems sad that such a brilliant company seems to have tapped dry their tanks of creativity and resorted to port outs of older games with modded controls.

  • i lovedd the metroid prime games when they came out, i have all of them and in two weeks i am going to buy the trilogy, truely these games are some of the greatest games i have ever played in my life! the only thing that sucks about the metroid prime 3 in the trilogy is that admiral daine doesn't say damn anymore... that was one of my favorite parts of the game. for all who read this if you have n ever played these games before you will not regret buying them. i love metroid games because of their mysterious characters and how you get to burn people to ashes when you get the plasma beam. even if i have the old versions of the games that is not going to stop me from seeing how much fun it will be because so many changes have occured i suggest you get this game! the gamecube versions of the first two metroid prime games were just the beginning while the wii versions of these two games are almost completely redone. not even the halo series gave me as much thrills as these games. and trust me, they are hard. if you like challenges then buy this trilogy. ou won't regret it! they replaced alot of the textures that were used in the gamecube games, they also made the bosses fight differently. there are many things they did for these versions of the game.there were only two difficulty levels in the first two metroid primes, so don't put it down just because it's a classic. honestly it's not that bad, they are just promoting the series to a newer level of play. and honestly who gives a crap about graphics, graphics are not what entertain the players, it's the game play that makes it awesome!

  • As someone who's beaten the game before, can you notice any difference in gameplay, graphics, or sound?
they didnt do much with the graphics but they did do a few little touch ups like changing a few textures for better looking ones in the first one, i havent even played number 2(only multiplayer, which is no longer a test of who can lock on best any more :D)or 3 but I have not noticed any diference in sound.

there are a few changes to gameplay however:
some of the bosses have had some changes, so I've heared, I havent noticed it on any yet though.

you may remember a glitch in the first one used for speed runs, which allows you to get the spacejump boots early, this is no longer in the game.

In the first and second games visor and beam swapping controls are no longer mapped to any sort of d-pad or anything, it is now a cool gesture system, to switch visors you simply hold the + button and flick the wiimote up, left or right to return to the combat (default) visor simply tap the + button, it is the same for beam weapons except with the - button.

finally there is a small but immensely useful difference in the morphball: in the originals you can use you bombs to jump upsmall ledges and whatnot but some of the higher jumps were very tricky. now you can jump the height of a bomb jump without a bomb, by flicking up the wiimote.

What textures were changed? Is it the same Samus model used in MP3?

It's released in the UK at the 4th. I'm definitely getting this.

  • i have one thing to say to the people who criticize this game, you truely are missing out. the first three were only the beginning trails for these games. this game is majorly redone, alot of things are different from the first 3. i bought it last week. enemies will be tougher, objectives will be harder, so many things the people did to bring this series to full glory yet you just think that it is just a wii play version, it's not. fisson metroids did not appear in phazon mines, the textures weren't the same, scan visor is redesigned, bosses will be 100 times more evil in hyper mode and many other things. it deserves alot more respect then it is getting. this is the reason why they say, never judge a book by it's cover. because it is not the same.

  • I'll pick it up one day when the price is significantly reduced. Sure it's a bargain now for three titles. But...that's three titles I already have, I don't care what changes were made. I do want to play the original Prime over again in this Wii-manner, but...just not yet
