I dunno, but probably because she went all attention grabber on us and just thought she's the center of everything :x Vriska knows her limits, sort of, but Aranea is just taking it too far imo :3

As for my ships, VriskaMeenah looks pretty viable and a lot more stronger than Tavris and MeenahAranea, but I kinda preferred the latter two :x

Maybe it's just a fling? What do you guys think?

I'm going to say that Aranea being evil is equivlent to Vriska being good. Aranea was being good in an evil way, and Vriska was being bad in a rather good and heroic way. Aranea accomplished what she needed to accomplish it seems, but it also seems that there is hope to come with an existence that she is no longer in.

When it comes down to it, the serkets are Antagonists and also Protagonists at the same time. They are complicated charachters, with Vriska being a bit more complex, but thats due to her having more screen time. They are antagonists from everyone elses mind, but their goals in the end are both noble and protagonistic like. They are just the extreme versions of what everyone else desires.

You want Tavros to succeed? Break his legs and make his house out of stairs
You want to defeat the timeline? Go into the 'Alpha' Timeline and do a series of events that would create a new Alpha timeline. Which wasn't done because of her, but because of John (but John wouldn't start doing this planned retcon stuff if it wasn't for game over, or something similar )

Aranea to me is a protagonists, but will always be seen as an antagonist by the other charachters who know about what she did. You also have to remember she was in the dream bubbles for a while, so killing off some people and bringing them to dead people land where she was at for tons of sweeps was never seen as wrong to her, because she had lived as a ghost for quite some time.

But yeah uh. On the Vriska Meenah thing, I guess I can't be against it. I mean, I see the reasoning for Aranea and Meenah, but I think when you really step back and take a look at it, they were really just great friends, like super close but not in the redrom area I don't think. And I'll also admit that I was a John Vriska shipper, and I kinda still am. When they were talking I expected John to actually accept all that stuff and still like her? But meh, I thought it was really sincere when Vriska opened up, but I guess John wasn't quite feeling it. The whole 3 years to think about it(or rather, not think about it, as he said) factored into it.

On the whole Aranea and Vriska deal, I don't actually think they were too different. I mean, when I think about it, I just see it as Aranea trying to become like Vriska(or Mindfang) too quickly, and attempting to make a huge power play at the WORST possible time, and it blew up right in her face. Vriska wasn't much better, it was kinda just like she did the same, but had a lot of time to think about it, and come to terms with the fact that she had done some pretty outrageous and well, reckless things. She's still capable of such things, but she knows the consequences well enough, as well as not to ignore them as Aranea basically did when she wrote off Meenah's warning.
