I found this. In one of the scenes it shows a little black fluffy thing following the trainer, as it would in HG/SS. Sorry I couldn't wrap it.

I think it's an event explaining the dream state.

I seem to remember that in the dream state you control a Pokémon rather than your character.

I saw "Follow Me" Feature and facepalmed, thinking someone was talking about the thing in the Lavender Town copypasta that drove little kids to suicide after going into the grass at the beginning of the game... but after reading this topic, it actually seems pretty cool. Haven't played HG and SS yet though

It's most likely her hair. If you look at the other scenes where the player is walking around, either on a route or in a city, there's no Pokemon following them. And the Gen V girl does have poofy hair.

Yeah, like I've said before, they made such a big deal about it when HGSS came out, maybe they want us to wait in suspense to see if it will return. If it's what they are doing then it's working. Just imagine though, before it was 493 Pokemon + Shiny and Gender Differences and Alternate Formes, that's over 1000. Now we would have over 200 more added to that, and that's only if there were 100 new Pokemon added...
