    -Out of Character-

    Name: Ami

    -In Character-

    -+- The Basics:

Full Birth Name: Krystal Ami Surge
    Nick Names: Ami
    Age:10 year olds
Location of Childhood Home: Born in a Forest. Raised in Saffron City
Gem Classification: The Mysterious Sidekick, Opal

    -+- Pokemon:

    Name: Callie
    Type: Delcatty
    Distinguishing Marks? none
PERSONALITY: She's a sneaky little devil. Callie taught herself how to speak English to impress a Meowth in TeamRocket...it did not work out so well.
She loves to speak to people trying new drinks/teas then reverts to meow/mew when they call for others.
Callie is very protective of Ami and will never leave her alone with strangers. Pops in and out of Poke'ball at will.
History: Ami was always bringing home sick/hurt Poke'mon, after nursing the poor Delcatty back to health, it would not leave her side.

    Name: Sparky
    Type: Pichu
Distinguishing Marks: A black lighting bolt on his forehead.
PERSONALITY: Sparky is mischievous and MUST have any shiny thing he sees.
He adores Sonee's Pikachu (Pika) and will do anything to protect/impress her.
Sparky is very proud and will not back down from a challenge! (unless Pika asks him to. )
History: Ami got Sparky when she caught him stealing cookies out of her backpack.
He may have escaped... had he not bumped into a Poke'ball in Ami's backpack

    Name: Fantasma
    Type: Shuppet
    Distinguishing Marks: none
PERSONALITY: Fantasma is the all important conscience of the group.
She makes sure everyone behaves when she is out of her Poke'ball, although she sometimes pops out on her own.
Fantasma will ShadowBall those who "misbehave" in her eyes.
History: Ami got Fantasma as a gift from Sonee who thought Ami needed a "nanny" when she is not around.
Due to the fact, that her other Poke'mon are all to happy to go along with her.

    -+- Appearance:

    Eye Color: Hazel
Hair Color/Style: Darkish red. Almost always in a pony tail
    Height:5' 5"
    Weight: 85 lbs
General Appearance: Ami always wears a pair of cosplay Skitty ears, always. She tends to be very thin, which combined with her tall height, give her a coltish look. When she is scheming or rather "thinking" as she puts it, Ami gets a certain gleam in her eyes that causes Sonee to watch her warily, as this is almost always "not a good sign".

Ami may be a girl, but she has absolutely NO time or patience for girly things as she puts it. She is almost always in a T-shirt, with something written or printed on it, and jeans with tennis shoes. Give her something "girly" and it's soon devoid of lace, prissiness and anything else she deems undesired.

Her rocket uniform is black jeans with opal colored R's on the pockets, a black t-shirt with an opal colored R on the front, and black tennis shoes. She always carries a black backpack with her on her missions :stuffed full of "just in case" supplies, black Skitty ears with opal Rs on the backs as well.

Formal attire: In the rare cases Ami must wear "formal" she does everything in her power to wear the least "prissy" she can get away with… A.K.A no dresses, lacy things, anything "girly", skirts, or heels. She mostly wears nice pants (jeans if she can get away with it) with a nice shirt and relatively nice shoes for formal wear

    -+- Personality:

    Strengths.
    Makes great ice cream.
    Won't abandon anyone.
Knows how to hide when needed.
    Fearless when cornered

    Fear:
Ghost types (with the exception of Shuppets).
    Failing anything.
    Hurting anyone. (Poke'mon too)
    Being alone.
    Being discovered

    Likes:
    Friends.
    Poke'mon.
    Shuppets.
    Pulling pranks.
    Making Ice cream.
    Sleep.
    Early morning anything.

    Dislikes:
    Ghost type Pokemon except Shuppets.
    Failing
    Getting Shadow Balled.
    Being alone.
    Quiet
Being called by her first name.
    Dresses…any type….

    Goals:
To one day prank Sonee without her knowing.
To protect all Poke'mon as best she can

    Skills: Hiding,
    Making Ice cream,
    Pranking
    Lock picking
    Scouting
    Sneaking around
Is the only one who can wake Sonee up for Early morning meetings/missions.

    Quirks | Habits:
Minor Tinkering (Much to poor Sonee's dismay)
Hates it when rare Poke'mon are captured...
NEVER takes off her Skitty ears.
Kills those who call her by her first name, even Sonee.
Loves to make her special ice cream for friends, even the Poke'mon ones.

    Secrets:
    Can talk to Poke'mon
Hopes no one in TR ever finds out, she tends to sabotage missions where a rare Poke'mon is targeted.
Only Sonee knows Ami can speak to Poke'mon. [[occ your char has to "catch her" to find out]]

    Reputation:
Everyone see Ami as a sneaky little prankster who always has something up her sleeve...
She is really fun loving and just can't resist an opening for a prank. Though the others may see her as just a prankster she is really very sweet and even feels bad about certain tricks that gets out of hand.

    Personality:
Ami is a fun loving person as evidenced by her prankster tendencies. Her love for Pokemon is shown by how few she has permanently. She prefers to go out into the wild and see who she comes across. After romping around with her "new" friends, Ami is happy to wave good-bye.

Ami is loyal to a fault. She will endanger herself without a thought, if someone she cared for was in danger or at risk to being left behind. Although she has been loyal to Team Rocket, Ami can't help but hope something exists for her beyond them. Far beyond them.

Ami is also very cautious when it comes to friends. She trusts any Poke'mon with her life but trusts very few trainers. Due to her secret ability Ami tends not to get close to others for fear they will discover what she can do. Being protective of Poke'mon she does not wish to be used as "bait" or a "tool" in their capture. The only person Ami really trusts is Sonee. due to the fact that when Sonee discovered what she could do, she kept it a secret.

    -+- History:

    Past:
Ami was born in a Forest because of a miscalculation by Sabrina, her earliest memories are of Saffron City always wanting to go out into the woods, hating having to come inside. She always felt some sort of connection with the forest. Ami discovered she could talk to Poke'mon at age 5, and, being typical Ami, never told anyone. This ability to speak to Pokemon left her very uncomfortable with the idea of capturing them. It just seems like enslavement to her, as you were " forcing them" to be your "slave".

Ami never wanted to catch Poke'mon. but her parents, being gym leaders,
told her she had to as part of life and sent her outside with a Poke'ball…She came upon an injured Delcatty and brought it home to nurse it. When the delcatty refused to leave her, Ami's parents assumed that she had used the Poke'ball and praised her for her "fine catch". So pleased they were with her, they gave her another "choice"…. she could either be a gym leader or she could join TR. Ami sighed and chose Team Rocket.

Family: Mom: Sabrina ((ooc: Sorry even Bulbapedia doesn't have her last name. =P))
    Dad: Lt. Serge

    Other:
Ami will never leave Sonees side

Sprink7: Accepted :P But keep up lengthy detailed well-put-together posts or I'll kick/kill you.

Ami: <3 Remove the smilies love and add another paragraph to your History/Appearance/Personality. With the History, indicate how and why she was born in the forest etc and how she came to Saffron City. :P Until then you're pending

And to solve any confusion, Sonee has two characters, one played by her and one played by Amii. :P Don't ask details. Just deal with it.

  • Okay, yeah...I've seen just about enough of this. ~~

Rise Against, has it occurred to you that constantly pestering Mika about those reservations might be just a little bit obnoxious? Not to mention rude towards the people holding said spots who will inevitably end up reading that? You are not part of this RP, you are not a reservation holder, so if you truly feel entitled to question the RP master's actions at every turn then at least have the common courtesy to do so in private rather than cluttering up the thread with your complaints.

Also, just as note? All but two of the reserved people have already completed their profiles and the remaining ones have both been granted extension on their reservations so you really have no say on the matter. As far as I understand, one of them even has a special purpose to fulfill in this RP and hence acts outside of standard procedure.

Just...cut out the clutter right about now, if you please. <<

  • {{ooc: I'll finish Sonechka's history tonight -disembowels old comp- I just know my old notes are in here...somewhere...}}

    -Out of Character-

    Name: Sonee

    -In Character-

    Full Birth Name: Sonechka Stone
Nick Names: Sonee (only to her close friends)
    Age:17 going on 18
Location of Childhood Home: RustboroCity, Hoehn
Gem Classification: The Tinkering Wonder, Diamond

    -+- The Basics:

    -+- Pokemon:

    Name: Storm Warning
    Type: Rapidash
Distinguishing Marks? Storm Warning is a black Rapidash with "normal" looking flames and an iridescent horn. He lives in a custom painted Pokeball, glossy black with flames.

PERSONALITY: Storm Warning deems himself Sonechka's guardian, so much that he has a habit of appearing even if Sonechka hasn't summoned him. He tends to be quick tempered whenever Sonechka seems distressed and acts accordingly with all the swiftness of his breed. Storm Warning is suspicious of all male attention towards Sonechka, given her heritage. However, every valiant knight has his weak spot. Offer Storm Warning the standard apples, carrots and oats bribe and he'll accept it and eat it all but, annoyingly, he won't budge from between the male briber and Sonechka. Offer him some form of peppermint, be it solid or liquid, and his eyes glaze over as he immediately starts to devour the treat. The male briber then has until the peppermint euphoria wears off to get close to Sonechka.

History: Sonechka's maternal grandfather, a Safari warden, gifted her with Storm Warning, when she was 5, much to her father's chagrin and envy. Her absentminded thanks irked all but her grandfather, who smiled knowingly, confident in the knowledge he'd bred a perfect companion for the distracted girl. To get away from the heavy atmosphere, Sonechka went outside. Soon, lost in her daydreams, she found herself in a wild Pokemon area, facing an irritated denizen. Sonechka froze and stared. With a flash of fire, Storm Warning popped out of his Pokeball and dispatched the threat. Sonechka hugged him gratefully, as he nuzzled her to make sure she was unharmed, thus starting a inseparable partnership.

    Name: Pika
    Type: Pikachu
Distinguishing Marks? Pika is a runt of a Pikachu, she is closer in height to a Pichu. She has a tendency to live in Sonechka's backpack rather than her custom painted Pokeball, metallic gold with silver bolts.
PERSONALITY: Pika is fun loving. She is the prankster of Sonechka's Pokemon. If she isn't busy leaving the apple cores around Storm Warning or his pokeball, she can be found plotting and enacting a static filled ambush on Ariel. All, of course, while maintaining her innocent "not a hair out of place" patent look for Sonechka. Pika's playful façade hides a desperate need, born of her harsh days in the wild, to be close to her other teammates. She has claimed the spot of mothering the Eevee, Umbro, and, jealously, wards off Ariel from her attempts to mother Umbro. Pika is quick to sense a human or Pokemon's change in mood. When she senses a change for the worse, Pika is quick to respond in a loving and generous way. During one of these ambivalent moment, she deigned to give Ami's Pichu, Sparky, a treasured ketchup packet. Pika was rather shocked and surprised to find she now has a love struck male following her everywhere.

History: Pika chose Sonechka. Pika's lack of size has always caused her trouble in the wild. After a rather bad encounter with a couple of Ratatas, where she lost her berry dinner for the third time that particular week, Pika stumbled across a small campsite, where Sonechka was busy tinkering with a pokeball. She spotted an open backpack and crept across to it. Pika sniffed and licked at an open ketchup package. Her eyes darkened at the delicious taste, then the seductive scent of apples hit her nose. Glancing at the still preoccupied Sonechka, Pika climbed into the backpack and gorged herself on the apples and more ketchup packs! Satiated and drowsy, she drifted off to sleep and awoke to the sound of soft laughter when Sonechka came to retrieve one of her lab books from the pack. Still groggy from sleep, Pika found herself gently hoisted up and the lab book removed. Sonechka walked back to the campfire with Pika and opened her lab book to read. Absently stroking the sleepy Pokemon, she reviewed her notes well into the night. The following morning, Sonechka looked around for the little Pikachu and found her sunning herself on the back of Storm Warning as he grazed. Sonechka sighed and made a note to stock more apples and ketchup packets. Even though she eventually made Pika her own custom Pokeball, Pika prefers to travel in Sonechka's backpack.

    Name: Ariel
    Type: Swablu
Distinguishing Marks? Ariel lives in a custom painted Pokeball, pastel blue with wispy clouds.

PERSONALITY: Ariel has the stereotyped short temper of a dragon. Her mercurial moods never cease to be the center of attention. One moment, Ariel screams her anger, when her feathers puff out in all directions from one of Pika's static pranks. The next moment, she cries in dismay, looking frantically for a handy body of water in which to bathe so her feathers lay flat again. Ariel has been full of herself ever since she witnessed an immense battle of dragon Pokemon. She feels that dragon types are the most evolved of all Pokemon. When Sonechka was given an egg for rescuing a young child, Ariel declared that only she was fit to be the foster parent for the hatchling, starting a subtle war between her and Pika. This elitist attitude carries over when Ariel is called into battle. She fights like the mother of all dragons and lords it over any Pokemon she replaces in battle. Ariel is gracious in defeats from other dragon types but blames her teammates when she loses to a non-dragon Pokemon. Fortunately, even with her mind-set, she is loyal to Sonechka and defends her teammates fearlessly, since she feels she is the only one who can properly "improve" them.

History: Sonechka had never intended to be classified as a Pokemon trainer. However, in the first couple years hiding from her father, she fell in with a group of traveling trainers. They, good naturedly, asked to see her Pokemon. When she produced Storm Warning and Pika as her only Pokemon, the trainers were appalled. Sonechka found herself hauled into the wilderness to "round out" her party. They flushed out a Swablu and commenced on their project teaching Sonechka the fine points of being a trainer. The irritated Swablu laughed and taunted the barrage of attempts to capture it. Quietly, Sonechka studied the elusive Pokemon. She reached into her packback and retrieved a Pokeball and a few of her tinkering tools. Popping open the Pokeball, Sonechka made a few adjustments. She put her tools away and stepped over to the fray. Summoning Pikachu, Sonechka directed her to Thunder Wave the Swablu. The ruffled Swablu squawked in rage and closed in on Sonechka. Sonechka threw her modified Pokeball, enclosing the startled Swablu. After two twitches, the Pokemon was hers. Amid the congratulations, Sonechka frowned and pulled out a lab book to make a few notes.

    Name: Umbro
    Type: Eevee
Distinguishing Marks? Umbro lives in a custom painted Pokeball, glossy black with mother of pearl rings.

PERSONALITY: Umbro is a typical happy go lucky Eevee. He wanders where the next scent takes him, usually ending in trouble. Decidedly a night owl from birth, Umbro frecklessly romps around in the dark underbrush, too young yet to understand danger. His energy level is high enough to wear out both his caretakers, Pika and Ariel, when he isn't in a mood to be mothered. His favorite object of affection is Sonechka. Never mind, Umbro knows he can count on a tidbit or two from her, when she enters one of her absent minded phases or that she knows just where to scritch him. Hers was the first face he saw, when he hatched late one dark and violent night.
History: A relieved Pokemon Breeder presented Sonechka with an egg after she extracted his son out of a tenuous situation. As the Breeder dragged off his protesting son, he grinned back at Sonechka and hinted the egg held a surprise…or two. She sighed as she made room for it in her backpack and rescued the egg from the squabbling Pika and Ariel. The egg proved to be stubborn about hatching. However, Sonechka was forced to put the matter aside as everything started to unravel around her. In the chaos that ensued, she was separated from her friends. Huddled on an overloaded boat, she felt her backpack move violently. Upon opening it, she was assaulted by a wet warm tongue connected to a fluffy brown body. Sonechka hugged the Eevee tightly and sobbed into the night.

    Name: Beauty
    Type: Miltoc
Distinguishing Marks? Beauty lives in a custom painted Pokeball, variegated blue and green tie-dye.

PERSONALITY: Jokingly, called "Beauty with Brains", Beauty is a pacifist. She would rather parley into the night over a good cup of tea or coffee than finish a battle initiated by her teammates. When Sonechka realized Beauty's ability to remove negative feelings, she started asking her to look ahead of them and alert the group to any possible entanglements. This ability has come in handy on the rare occasions Sonechka has come close to being discovered by her father. Beauty is very curious about the contests and how she would do competing, but is pragmatic given Sonechka's current need to stay out of sight.
History:. A couple months before she joined Team Rocket, Sonechka treated her Pokemon to a fishing excursion. While Storm Warning grazed on the sun kissed grass, the other Pokemon crowded around Sonechka to await their Magikarp treats. The first two casts landed average sized Magikarp to the delight of Ariel and Pikachu. Even though Umbro nibbled off both, Sonechka decided to try for another one. After casting several times, she got a bite. Reeling it in, she was amazed to find a Feebas on the hook. While the other Pokemon distracted the slow witted fish, Sonechka dug into her backpack for a Pokeball and her tools. Quickly adjusting the Pokeball, she flung it at the rare fish, snagging it without an issue.

So excited she was by her catch, Sonechka showed the Feebas to some of the local trainers. Once again, she found herself being hauled off by well meaning people to level up her unique catch into its highly sought evolved form. Sonechka's mouth dropped open as their efforts turned the ugly fish into the gorgeous water type Milotic. She whispered, "Beauty" and the name stuck. Sonechka quickly came out of her daze when the others said, "Contests!" Pleading a suddenly remembered pressing engagement, she gathered her belongings and headed out of town. Having her face publicly displayed would be detrimental to her plans.

    -+- Appearance:

Eye Color: Glacial blue when calm, they darken to a deep sapphire when any intense mood, good or bad, possesses her.
    Hair Color/Style: Dark
Auburn hair worn long and straight to the waist. A simple arrangement of mini braids frames each side of her face to keep her hair out of her face when she works.
    Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 150 lb
General Appearance: Tall and slender, Sonechka could easily pass for a debutante. Early years of dance and deportment lessons and later years of _____ martial art instruction have given her a graceful, seemingly aloof presence. Freckles wouldn't dare mar her creamy complexion. The last four years ushered out the bright red hair color of childhood, replacing it with a dark smoldering auburn. Her long hair used to have the haute couture curls all girls of her social rank wore. Thankfully, the tedious growing out process left her with beautifully straight hair that only develops a slight wave in humid conditions.

Sonechka developed a habit of braiding her hair whenever she was researching a topic or just reviewing her notes. When she realized how high her proficiency had gotten, she decided to incorporate it into a trademark look. No matter what the occasion, her hair has some form of braiding. When she joined Team Rocket, the few formal events, she had to attend, saw her displaying a most elaborately braided coif. The time it took to finish the braiding always put her attending at the last polite minute of lateness.

Along with her braids, Sonechka always wears a round platinum locket. Its surface has a finely etched Pokeball with a small flawless diamond embedded where the release button is located. She has a habit of rubbing it gently and getting a faraway look in her eyes. What actually is inside is unknown; Sonechka has never told anyone and refuses to take it off.

Her only other accessory is her backpack. It is a medium sized military issue dyed battleship gray. Inside is room for her lab books, tools, apples, ketchup packets and a runt sized Pikachu plus the occasional Eevee. On the outside of the backpack are pouches for six Pokeballs.

Given her social knowledge, Sonechka could be a clothes horse, but she isn't. Never knowing when circumstances will force her to move on…quickly, her clothes are all of the finest most durable wrinkle free material she can find. Everything is tailored, even her cargo pants. Her tunics vary in neckline and print but are all long sleeved. The sleeves also vary in cloth weight. Sonechka might not have freckles but the sun loves to turn her skin a clashing shade of red. Her usual pants are riding breeches or cargo pants, depending on the task she needs to complete. For footwear, Sonechka wears field boots or soft leather knee high moccasins.

Sonechka's Team Rocket uniform should have just been the standard issue. Tailored, of course. Unfortunately, her auburn hair gets her confused with a more famous Rocket. Tired of the misdirected attention, she designed her own uniform, much to Giovanni's amusement. Made of a black material with a metallic sheen, the top is a martial arts wrap around tunic style with sheer black long sleeves. The tie belt and trim are a metallic red the same hue as Sonechka's hair. A Diamond encrusted brush pen R graces the right side of the tunic just below the collar bone. Her riding beeches echo the same black material with the red trim running down each leg along the seam. She completes her look with black riding boots polished to a high gloss and topped on the outside with the same style R as the tunic.

For formal occasions, Sonechka goes to a local designer and offers to wear one of the simple classic dresses to advertise the shop. She finds it ironically amusing that she hasn't been turned down.

    -+- Personality:

    Strengths:

    - Easygoing and slow to get angry
    - Observant
    - Fiercely loyal to Ami
    - Cautious in her decision making
    - Well versed in corporate politics
    - Adept in any social situation
    - Able to endure long late hours

    Fear:
    - Snake Pokemon – Dragons are NOT snakes…
    - Her father finding her before she is ready.
    - Making another bad decision that separates her from everyone she knows

    Likes

    - Lattes
    - Coffee
    - Tea
    - Fresh Fruit
    - Ami's ice cream
    - Time alone to reminisce
    - Puzzles of any kind

    Dislikes:
    - Having to constantly look over her shoulder for her dad.
    - Ill made clothes
    - Team Rocket bully tactics
    - Formal occasions that might expose her location to her father.
    - Early morning anything

    Goals:

    - To learn all she can about every form of Pokeballs and how they affect Pokemon
    - To develop the strength and courage to deal with her father.
    - To find what she has lost.
    - To keep Ami with her.

    Skills:

    - Mechanically inclined
    - Draws well but is inclined to keep it at sketchings.
    - Give her a Pokeball and time to observe the target Pokemon and you have one captured Pokemon.
    - Lately, due to time on her hands, she has been tinkering with mechanical locks, teaching herself to pick them and improve them.

    Quirks | Habits:

    - Night owl tendencies hence the love of a good latte.
    - Always checks out the local coffee house wherever she goes.
    - Braids her hair absentmindedly while she contemplates something.
    - When not tinkering, she watches Pokemon and people..

    Secrets:
    - She was at Alarayne with Mika, though not part of Team Rocket

    - She still has nightmares of Alarayne..
    - Uneasy about being part of Team Rocket.
    - Fears TR missions are compromising her values at an escalating cost.
    - She is only in Team Rocket to stay close to Ami.
    - Regrets her last words to her father.

Reputation: Sonechka's genius with Pokeballs has gotten her a mixed reputation within TR. While all are openly admiring at what she has done in capturing Pokemon, she is handled carefully and courteously amid rumors her Pokeballs have caught things other than Pokemon. When other sections need to work with her, they chose to go through Ami to enlist Sonechka's assistance. Few know she is Steve Stone's daughter and she prefers to keep it that way.

Personality: Sonechka has changed. Gone is the idealistic dreamer who made a game out of staying one step ahead of her father and enjoying exploring the world with good friends. In its place is a quiet reserved young woman, so much so some think her aloof.. Sonechka does her best to stay detached from TR missions. It's become harder to do that as she has reluctantly risen in the TR structure. She finds it ironic that the politics of TR mirror the politics of Devon Corp or Silph Co, only the end result is different. Keeping that thought in mind helps Sonechka to weather TR's effect on her.

Ami is the only one who can draw Sonechka out of her protective shell. Sonechka still retains her easygoing nature which makes her a good caretaker of Ami. When she is with Ami, signs of her old self keep surfacing. It's not unheard of to see Sonechka in a tank top and shorts having water Pokemon fights with Ami on hot days. Only with Ami, will Sonechka relax. She is fiercely devoted to Ami. Sonechka takes the job of watching Ami seriously. Her calming effect on Ami has curtailed a bit of Ami's wildness much to the relief of the other Gems.
    .
    -+- History:

Past: Sonechka's birth resulted in her mother's death. It wasn't her fault; she took so long to birth. Nor was she responsible for the doctor who wanted to hobnob with her august father rather than tend to her father's beloved wife. Too little, too late and all that remained was a squalling baby girl with bright red hair, a cringing doctor and a devastated father.

    Family: Steven Stone, Father,

Okay, I know I'm not a Mod or anything and therefore have little power, but Rise Against, you really need to have more respect for the Mods they quite literally could make your life a living hell on this site. Do not piss them off.

But more than that, have more respect for Mika, as she is the RP master of this thread. This looks to be an amazing rp and I understand you want to be a part of it and are therefore annoyed that there are reserved slots not completed by the "official deadline" and you still aren't being allowed to apply.

I've dealt with it on other sites, it's sucks, it's frustrating, I know.

But if she says she allowed them an extension, then she allowed them an extension and you need to respect that.

And as this might have originally been the deadline and beginning of the roleplay, I feel the need to point out (as Mika mentioned before) she was nearly hospitalized last week. I'm her room mate, I was there, I skipped class so she was with someone, it wasn't pretty and she was pretty miserable. She has been under a lot of stress with that and various other life things that eat her time. Please be conscious of those as well. She is human.

And thank you Lostt, for also pointing out that Rise Against really should fear respect the Mods.

And again, I know I'm not a Mod, I'm not tying to mini-Mod, I just felt the need to put my two cents in.

  • I have one thing to say, and for everyone convience (oops spelling) it will be in a spoiler.
    Spoiler:

My dearest special snowflake, you seem to be under this peculiar misconception that there is nothing I can do to you. That, I am sorry to say, is oh so wrong.

You've spammed and you have now openly insulted and defied staff, so I hope you enjoy the respective infractions for your accomplishments. Now for the last time: get your act together. If I see you take as much as a step out of line for the next two months or if I hear that you've been pestering Mika further about this (and trust me: I will), I'll be more than happy to slap on that third infraction and let you cool off outside of PC for a while. :D

Seriously, Marsy was spot on. All I can say is good luck getting into any RP with an attitude like that. You, good sir, need to grow up and realize that the world does not revolve around your personal needs. <<

    [BEWARE THE PACHIRISU. o3o] ]]

    ----

Mama, Mama tell me the story again!

Mysterica, love, it's so late, little girls should be resting in bed now, your father already tucked you in snug…

But Mama, I wanted to hear it, hear you say goodnight to me, from you!

…Well alright… but only if you promise to go right to sleep after this!

I will Mama I will! Now please, please tell me a story!

    Which one my darling?

The one about the trees Mama! With the guardians and the magical forests.. That's my very favorite. That's my very very very favorite!

Haha… my precious little one, here, snuggle into your futon, snuggle and listen to Mama, she'll tell you a story, she'll tell you the story of the great mystical tree.

Once upon a time, in the very distant past before the islands were separated...

There was a great and beautiful tree on top of Mt Silver.

The tree was so big, nobody had ever climbed to the top of the tree

it was said that this tree gave life to the entire world of Pokémon

Humans and Pokémon alive lived in Harmony with the tree and with each other

But over time, humans became resentful of the tree

They rose up, forming a giant army, and marched towards Mt Silver

They were going to take and use the tree's power for their own desires

Fearing for the safety of the tree, the Eight Guardians gathered at Mt. Silver

They hid the tree away and separated the lands into islands

On each island, they placed a series of seals, protecting the sacred realm of the tree

On each island also resides a mythical forest

The children of the forest are granted special gifts

They are taught to take care of their homeland and are granted powers like those of the guardians

They guard the Sacred Secret of the forest and its inhabitants

In exchange, the children are able to communicate with Pokémon as humanity past

Together they live in harmony, just like before

Silently watching and waiting for the day.

When the Tree will return reuniting the islands at last

And just like before, humans and Pokémon will exist together, in harmony.

And the world will be united into one, with no wars or anything bad

And every, humans and Pokemon alike, will live happily ever after.

    The end.

Are you happy my pet? Did you enjoy that story?

    …Mama?

    Yes pet?

Do you think it'll happen maybe? Will they break the seals someday?

I don't know…but I know that here in Blackthorn, here you will be safe always

    Are you sure Mama?

    I'm sure love…

Do you think we'll ever find the tree?

…I hope so. I hope we get to see the tree…

    Mama?

    Yes?

    Will the tree be pretty?

The prettiest tree you've ever seen

    Mama…?

    Yes Mysterica?

    Do you love me?

    Of course I do.

How much do you love me Mama?

As far as the eye can see

What about beyond that, do you still love me?

Mysterica, there is not a thing that can tear me from you.

    Mama?

    Yes my beloved?

…I love you that much too.

I love you too my pet

    ~ * ~

Waking up in a sweat just wasn't one of her favorite pastimes, especially not the morning when she'd have to leave on the first assignment the Gems had ever undertaken together as a unit in several years. For the most part, the gems themselves were a unit of show; each elite executive was in charge of an area of their own personal little bubble of which they were the best Giovanni in said personal bubble. The fact that they were being sent out on a mission didn't sit right with any of them but for their leader it was even more unsettling as she had the details already of the mission ahead.

Groaning, she glared at the blaring Loudred alarm clock that so meanly read a time of 04:03 and after contemplating for several moments as to the pluses and minuses of blowing it out the window with a well aimed throw or kick, hit the off button and sat up, looking around the small room hazily, the fog of sleep still over her face, "Fghgn…. Do not like…." Rubbing her eyes, she rubbed the sleep away as best she could before standing and groggily wandered towards the small bathroom, kicking the door as hard as she could when it wouldn't close until it closed and started the water, splashing the pure icy cold goodness all over her face to try and force herself awake. Meetings like this, that started so bloody early in the morning, were the very definition of annoying. She knew why they were being called for the briefing in a little under an hour, they had some sort of transport to catch, but it was still annoying.

Begrudgingly wriggling into her uniform, she snagged her coal black sling backpack, tucking it around her shoulder before slipping on her trench coat over it. She fastened the beautiful crystal key, in the center of which snuggled a crystal-like pokeball, and, after attaching her belt around her waist with her other five pokemon, she snagged a hairtye from her wrist and threw her hair up into a high ponytail lest it try and defy her at a later date. Grumbling, she shoved her feet into her boots, laced them up tightly and half dragged her feet half walked to her mini fridge in the small room and, after being partially blinded by the light of the fridge, pulled out a can of Mountain Dewgong and, after popping the tab, tilted her head back and began to chug. She wasn't going to be functional for another hour or so unless she downed a couple of these so might as well start when it was-she glanced over at the clock and sighed-only 04:25. Cursing her internal alarm, she snagged a second can and wandered out of the small room, furnished with only the necessities, that being a bed, a dresser, a desk with a black lap and a black minifridge, and, after flicking off the lights and locking the door, wandered towards the elevator.

The higher your rank in Rocket, the lower your residence is thus making you that much closer to the escape tunnels should the sun set in the north and the G-Men actually had the abililty to invade. The down side was the god awful elevator ride to the top-ish area of the underground facility. The Gems, with the exception of Mika, lived on the second to last floor of the residential block of the facility, the floor directly above Giovanni's personal residence, and the lowest grunts lived just under the training and clerical facilities a good fourteen floors above. So, in exchange for peace and quiet, one got at least a 5 minute ride, without stops, to the conference floor, and with stops as there was almost never no stops, it could take 15 minutes. And Kain? Well, the Head Scientist and Head Physician of the Rocket Syndacite had this werid obsession with Pachirisu-style screamo death metal. It could give anyone without a headache a headache in about thirty seconds.

And climbing the elevator, she glanced at her watch, 04:31, and sighed, leaning against the back, plugging in the earbuds for her personal music device and tried not to listen to the high pitched "I hate the world and pretty butterfrees! It's all the organization~ It's all happy! And I'm not happy! Cuz I hate the world!" death metal. Pachirisu style. At least it wasn't blaring. You could hear it, but it wasn't blasting. At least not this early in the morning. Kain had some sort of a heart. Fake. But a heart.

Leaning against the wall, she closed her eyes, waiting for the long winded ride to the top to end so the stupid meeting would start. Taking another swig of her Mountain Dewgong, she sighed, turning up the volume just a hair, to block out the screaming rodent-like sounds now filling the elevator as it groaned and began to move upwards. Hopefully, at the next floor or the cafeteria five and ten floors up, people would be getting on. She really didn't want to beat people for being late. Not this early in the morning.

[ooc: So yeah. :P The meeting's at 05:00. Which means, lovies, that you had to get up before then. So let's see some morning crap and then somehow manage to get on the elevator either on your residential floor [the two levels above the one Mika's] or the cafeteria or another assorted floor.]

  • Early mornings were nothing new for Parse. Anyone who wanted to make any real headway with capturing bug pokémon got used to late nights and early mornings alike and working under vastly differing time schedules had honed the adjustability of her inner clock further. Finally, and most importantly, this was the first time she would be coming into direct contact with the other gems, including the notorious Emerald. She had an impression to make.

As such, knowing full well that the meeting was set to 5 AM, the tactician quite promptly wrested herself out of bed at three AM sharp, enjoying a full-length shower and warm breakfast in the peace of her own little lebensraum while she allowed herself to dry off properly before reinstating her two pigtails with meticulous precision, the outfit she had laid out the evening before already lying in wait on the chair, neatly folded, right next to the gray backpack she had set aside to contain various belongings that would probably become needed for the briefing and beyond. Truth to be told the black tank top, dark red cargo pants and slightly worn sneakers were hardly a fashion statement that would have taken more than five minutes to pick out anyway, but it was a matter of principle and Parse was not one to compromise her principles.

It was principles, too, that had been part of necessitating such an early wake-up. After all, walking the staircase all the way from the basement floors to the meeting room far above took a while, but when the choice came down to whether she wanted to get herself a bit of exercise and much needed peace and quiet for each morning or cram herself into a crowded elevator filled with half-sleeping slobs that stopped every few minutes to take in more such trash while tasteless death metal blared on in the background, the decision was elementary. Besides, precisely because of its tendency to stop at practically every floor, the elevator was truly not a much faster method of transport than a brisk walking pace up the staircase, and even though she had kept her walk fairly leisurely and even stopped by at a wending machine to get herself a little paper mug of coffee, Parse was not particularly surprised to find the corridor outside of the meeting room empty by the time she arrived. Apparently, her fellow gems were not the kind to arrive at these meetings half an hour in advance, and to be perfectly frank, Parse did not mind. The combined IQ in her vicinity had a depressing tendency to drop with each new arrival.

The hallway was...quaint, Parse supposed, casting a half-interested glance at the decor around her as she sipped at her coffee, back leaning against the wall, and it was painfully obvious that it had been designed to intimidate, between the blood red walls, the black carpet with the flauntingly displayed Rocket insignia, and the ceiling lights, so carefully calibrated to leave a pocket of ominous gloom in every corner. Not a single potted plant or other homey feature grace the corridor with its presence, and the whole thing was rather longer and more ominous than any practical reasons could warrant. It was the kind of hall that was intended to squash any inkling of security or self-worth within anyone seated in it, the kind you kept insolent grunts in for a couple of hours to make them sweat a bit before a disciplinary hearing. The kind that made men with big mouths feel very, very small.

For someone like Parse, who would most likely be asking the questions in such a hearing, it was all rather amusing.

"Alright, then." she mumbled, sipping her coffee once more as she turned her gaze towards the elevator on the other end of the hall, "27 minutes and 35 seconds until official assembly time. Let's see who the slackers of this group are."

  • Who are you?

My name is... Gale, watch out!

    How do you know my...AIIIII!!!

    Gale! No!

    ...

    Gale, are you OK?

Yes, I'm fine. But how do you...know me? Oh my god, you're spewing blood everywhere!

I'll be fine, honestly. But... I am your...

What! Wait! Are you my brother? My sister? No! Don't leave me! Don't leave. Don't leave...

Silence. Complete and utter silence. At once, the girl, Gale, had stopped tossing and turning in her bed. It was that dreaded nightmare again. The one where she had met up with her lost sibling, but they immediately died saving her. The gender of this supposed sibling was unknown to her, but Gale knew that the sibling was out there in that vast world of Pokemon...

It was about three in the morning when the soothing serenade began playing. Gale awoke with a start; she had always been a light sleeper. She yawned casually, and looked out the window.

"Looks like it'll be another one of these days..." she said with a sigh, quickly laying back down. But with the serenade playing, she couldn't go back to sleep. She actually didn't mind waking up to this type of music. After all, it was better than that death metal music. Fortunately, Gale had found a way to soundproof everything - except any knocking sounds on her door or windows - so no sound would get in, and no sound would get out.

Dressing in her casual wear, Gale knew she had some time until the meeting at five. She laid her uniform symmetrically out on her bed after she had made it, and left the building for her usual trip to the gorgeous lake of Blackthorn. It had been enough years since she had seen such beautiful, pure water. But this water could never beat the water that was in Phenac. Even though it was human-generated, it was much more crystal-clear than the water here. With a sigh, Gale took out three coins, a book of some sort, and a flat drawing board. She flipped the three coins at once, and when they landed, she took note of what side they were on. Two were on Tails, while one was on Heads, so on her drawing board, she drew two dashes next to each other. She repeated the same process, getting all Heads this time. She drew a long dash right above the two dashes she had put down before. Continuing this process, she flipped the coins four more times and got what looked like this:

    -- --
    -----
    -----
    -- --
    -----
    -- --

Looking it up in her convenient "I-Ching" book, Gale took note of what it meant.

    "47. K'un - Oppression (Exhaustion)

    -- --
----- above Tui The Joyous, Lake
    -----
    -- --
----- below K'an The Abysmal, Water
    -- --

    The Judgement

    Oppression. Success. Perseverance.
The great man brings about good fortune.
    No blame.
When one has something to say,
    It is not believed.

    The Image

There is no water in the lake:
    The image of Exhaustion.
Thus the superior man stakes his life
    On following his will.

    The Lines

    Six at the beginning means:
One sits oppressed under a bare tree
And strays into a gloomy valley.
For three years one sees nothing.

() Nine in the second place means:
One is oppressed while at meat and drink.
The man with the scarlet knee bands is just coming.
It furthers one to offer sacrifice.
    To set forth brings misfortune.
    No blame.

Six in the third place means:
A man permits himself to be oppressed by stone,
And leans on thorns and thistles.
He enters his house and does not see his wife.
    Misfortune.

Nine in the fourth place means:
He comes very quietly, oppressed in a golden carriage.
Humiliation, but the end is reached.

() Nine in the fifth place means:
His nose and feet are cut off.
Oppression at the hands of the man with the purple knee bands.
    Joy comes softly.
It furthers one to make offerings and libations.

    Six at the top means:
He is oppressed by creeping vines.
He moves uncertainly and says, 'Movement brings remorse.'
If one feels remorse over this and makes a start,
Good fortune comes." Gale read softly. Although she did not quite understand all of this easily, she still knew a great deal of what it meant. Ah, Exhaustion. If only this book knew how accurate that was... Erasing her lines from her drawing board, Gale proceeded back to her room. She placed her coins, drawing board, and book away in one of the cabinets, which held all her fortune telling equipment, and changed into her uniform. It was 4:45 now, and Gale knew she couldn't be late. It was surprising she had spent that long down at the lake, but she figured she had gotten lost in figuring out what her fortune was for the day. She hoped that no one would yell at her...

(I hope that was an OK post. Oh, and added on to Gale's info. more; if it's OK, she also has a Metagross no one knows about.)

Contrary to popular speculation around the organisation and even to those who took upon first impressions as a way of identifying someone of higher status, Seras found the dawn breaking shrills and squeaks of what she could only assume to be a pachirisu screaming into a microphone, entertaining. Sure, she had a fetish for more soothing sounds, such as miltank meadow grazing farm noises and lapras surfing ocean rides, but cutesy pokemon that could dish out indiscernible lyrics at such a frequency that could very well cause untamed ears to bleed, wasn't so bad either. At least it suited her general reception around the place and far be it for her to judge, but any publicity was bad publicity, which in essence was fine by her. Seeing as how she was used to such scrutiny already.

Aside from enjoying the odd flavour of metal mouses, Seras wasn't exactly a morning person either, so as it were she was extremely out of context, with the waking up early for meetings and bobbing along to poke-metal. Alas, if the big man downstairs called for it, she would have to obey, considering she had pledged her utter allegiance to him already and backing out of an organisation of this calibre was in retrospect, falling backside onto a rydon's horn. Cursing her own imagery, she proceeded to engage her mythical psychic abilities, foretelling her fatigue and inevitable slumber amidst the oncoming meeting.

Yet the reason she was truly awake at such hours wasn't just to comply with the assembly of the organisation's precious jewellery, oh no. There was a much higher purpose to her breaking habit... The cafeteria's morning special serving of toast, coffee and sunny-side up exeggcute. The breakfast of daily office workers and pokemon hunters alike. She did well with providing the kitchen staff with fresh ingredients every week and became close with such people, thus providing her added privileges unavailable to grunts and even the other Gems to an extent. Privileges such as personal around the clock services, so in her case, an extra early serving of breakfast.

Scarfing the meal down with the manners of someone stranded on a remote island and was starved to the brink of death, Seras concluded her meal, spent several minutes digesting while simultaneously listening to the continuing pachi-metal before finally conceding to the approaching allocated meeting time.

Making her way through the lowset yet incredibly spacious cafeteria, she arrived at the foot of the west wall's twin elevators, her gaze sweeping over the nods and bows of acknowledgment from the now incoming morning duty grunts. Hearing the automated beep, the pokemon hunter stepped into the shaft, her sights now set on the only other person inside.

A familiar young girl with an unmistakable black-ridden uniform, her elegant locks pressed up against the wall she leant upon, her head lowered slightly to accommodate the headphones lodged in her ears and a can of Mountain Dewgong laced within her fingers, stood before her. She had matured in appearance somewhat, although still retained her previous composure of being susceptible to those with a loli-complex. Aside from that, there was no mistaking her, The Chosen One, the Emerald, Mysterica Lunesca Blacthorn.

Not one for getting all lovey-dovey with each reunion, Seras simply stepped into the opposite corner, leant into its wall, folded her arms and closed her eyes.

Khael had expected he'd have to get up early this morning for the mysterious Gem meeting, but at three in the morning? Three in the morning?! His darling little Kisa decided she was hungry at three in the morning and couldn't, for the life of her, shut up and let him sleep. Stupid adorable annoying Togepi. He chided silently to himself as he walked up to the cafeteria with the small, pouting Pokemon in his arms. "Since when am I in charge of being your mother?" He stressed as a lowly Grunt snickered as he passed Khael on the stairs. He darted a glare at the Grunt but continued walking, he really had stopped caring about the looks and snickers. He could have gotten rid of the thing, given it to a day care or Pokemon Center, but he didn't.

Finding a spot in the cafeteria, Khael sat Kisa with her bowl of berries as he sipped his large cup of coffee and nibbled on some toast and eggs. He wasn't really all that hungry yet, but he needed something in his stomach if he was going to go to this meeting. It really did seem mysterious, though. The group had met only a few times since it was formed and none of them really ever talked. At least not to him.

Once Kisa had passed out from her fruit consumption, Khael slipped her into his jade sling bag so she could sleep through the meeting. Suddenly checking his watch, he decided it wasn't too early to walk down, it was only 4:40, twenty minutes wasn't so horrendous, and plus, he didn't want to look lazy or bad. Had to make a good impression for his fellow Gems, even if it didn't really matter.

Making his way down the ominous hallway, he found a section of wall and slid down to the floor to sit with the bag in his lap. Hopefully this thing'll kick off soon, He thought with a mental sigh. I'm already bored.

  • One, two, three, four, five, six, seven across.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven down.
Seven times eleven was seventy-seven. Minus the five lights that was seventy-two. Seventy-two ceiling tiles. Still.

Aidan closed his eyes and rested his chin on his right hand. One could only count ceiling tiles so many times before starting to feel crazy: in the case of tonight, thirty-nine. Not that he had been keeping track. Opening one eye, the male half lifted his left wrist to allow himself to check his watch. Still about half an hour before meeting time, and despite his boredom he saw no reason to show up so early.

The first hours of the night Aidan had spent alternately wandering the halls of the base, reading through old mission logs, and lying down wherever he found convenient. After eight years of restless nights, he was not sure why he still bothered trying to sleep. Sometimes he succeeded, granted, but mostly it hardly seemed worth the effort. A little before 2:45 AM, Aidan resigned himself to the futility of his attempts at rest and finished preparing for the mission as well as, more immediately, the coming day. He had then somehow wandered up to the break room closest to the meeting room--though whether he had used the elevator or stairs he could not recall.

I wonder if any of my Pokemon are in the mood to come out. Toying with one of the Pokeballs on his belt, Aidan leaned back. The trainer again found himself staring at the ceiling but made a conscious effort to avoid counting. I need something to do. He straightened, then braced himself against the table as he stood. More out of habit than hunger, Aidan made his way to the fridge and checked its contents. Someone had left half a burrito beside a bowl of rice and some brownies. On a lower level was carton of orange juice. Eh, why not. The youth gulped down a few mouthfuls of orange juice and threw the used paper cup into the nearest trash can. Aidan checked his watch again. Eighteen minutes until the meeting. That'll have to do.

"Hey, Sand. We have a meeting to go to." Aidan flicked one of his Pokeballs into the air, releasing the grinning phantom held within. The Haunter laughed as it emerged from the ruby-coloured light of its home. Aidan smiled pleasantly, his easy demeanor a jarring contrast with Sandman's threateningly eager one. "Shall we?"

With an eerie giggle, the ghost-type faded into the shadows.

Aidan strolled down the hall to the designated meeting room. Somehow along the way he began looking at the ceiling again, but the previous dead quiet of his eyes had been replaced with bright liveliness; and he allowed himself to count. "Been awhile since I've been in a room with so many higher-ups," he mused silently. "I wonder how this'll go. This and the coming mission . . . Among all the things the Gems are reputed for, teamwork is not one of them." Looking back down, Aidan realized that he had arrived at the meeting room. For a fleeting moment his blue eyes glistened and glittered; then he opened the door.

  • "Now, now, no need to get ahead of yourself."

Still holding the coffee cup in one hand, Parse casually reached out to intercept Aidan's hand by the wrist, calmly steering it away from the door handle and simultaneously forcing the illusionist to finally acknowledge her existence, something neither he nor the other male who had slumped down by a wall nearby had done this far.

"It's still locked. Checked it myself, oh...twenty minutes ago? No-one has passed this point since then, so just sit tight." she released the male's wrist as fluidly as she had taken hold of it first, "You would be...Garnet, and Jade, correct?" she pointed out Aidan and Khael in turn, taking an absent-minded sip on her coffee again, "I've studied your files, but I had no idea that either - let alone both - of you were near-sighted." though she kept her expression neutral, there was a definite edge of disapproval in her tone, "To not spot a human being in an unfurnished corridor is quite the feat, gentlemen. Were you grunts under my command, I would smack you over the head for such incompetence, but given your rank I will just thank you kindly to wake up and start paying attention to the world around you sometime between now and the briefing." she shook her head, "You're supposed to be professionals, so start acting the part."

  • Gale arrived at the door with plenty of time to spare. She sighed, and looked up. Already, some other members were there. Seeing how she had a few minutes left, she took out what seemed to be a different book of sorts, titled "Doubutsu Uranai". She opened it up, and for fun, looked up what it said about her.

"You are Silver Raccoon, who is delicate in that, you still hold girlish innocence and prettiness.
Your facial expression and action is also gentle, and tends to be bit of a poser.
Even though you are gentle and quiet, there is side of you that can not control your self-indulgence.
You don't talk much, but are a proud person and will not easily listen to other people.
This makes you stiff and obstinate.
You possess calmness that will not be moved by situations.
You tend to judge people coolly.
Personality wise, you have strong emotions, and if the situation is about yourself, you tend to be easily influenced.
In personal relationships, you prefer to keep long relations than to have a short one.
Once you have met a person who would understand you, you try to keep that relationship forever.
To do this, it may be getter if you could broaden your acquaintance, and at the same time broaden your field of interest, and develop yourself as a human being.
You are not very good at organizing and clearing up.
You prefer to spend your time outside socializing.
You are suited to stay out that to stay at home," she read quietly.

Scoffing at some of the grammatical errors, Gale then remembered that it was translated from Chinese or Japanese to English by its author, so it was most likely that the author spoke poor English. She looked up again, and stayed a few paces away from the others. She wasn't one to talk much, especially to those older than her. All of the gems, except for two, were older than her. The other two were around her age, but just a bit younger. Nonetheless, Gale wasn't the type to go around talking with others, unless they began talking to her. She took out one of her PokeBalls, a Luxury Ball, to be exact, and started tossing it. She knew the Pokemon inside it, her Glaceon, wouldn't mind. It was the only way to pass the time, in Gale's opinion. It was always easier for her to daydream and think out tactics while tossing something up in the air, especially if that "something" was in the shape of a sphere...

Khael looked up at the first ounce of noise he had heard in the hall in awhile, Amethyst who had been there before he was, talking to Garnet who apparently tried to open the meeting hall door. He wasn't really all that coherent this morning and didn't really think it was all that big of a deal that he was silent, wasn't silence so much better than stupid small talk that just made you want to think of an excuse to walk away? He rolled his eyes lightly. What is it with girls and their wanting to talk all the time?! As Kisa moved, Khael adjusted the bag slightly so the circulation in his leg wasn't being cut off.

"I wasn't aware that we were required to say anything, Parse." Khael replied somewhat calm, "Polite as it may be, I usually don't like saying anything unless there is something to be said. And I don't think Aiden hardly had anytime to greet you as he was headed for the door when you decided to grab his wrist and nag the both of us." He relaxed against the wall a little so he could keep his voice calm enough not to wake Kisa, "And as you were the first person here and saw us as we came down, you could have just have easily greeted us instead of blaming us for being near-sighted idiots."

  • Briefly, Parse seemed to consider a rather sharp retort - at least if her displeased expression was anything to go by, but in the end she simply gave a dismissive scoff at her fellow gem's remark, "I'll admit I'm surprised, Jade." she replied evenly, "I can't seem to recall a time when you didn't have something to say to a woman, but if you say so." she gave an indifferent little shrug, "But just as a piece of friendly advice from one gem to another? Take your sleep when it counts or it will mess up your bodily rhythm. I daresay that those little rings around your eyes don't suit you all that well, and I'd prefer to have my teammates fully awake at times when it actually matters."

Draining the last of the cup's contents, she leaned back again, allowing silence to fall back on the corridor. After a few more moments of the relative peace, however, she spoke up, this time directing her comment further down the hall.

"You can join the rest of us if you want, Sapphire." she said placidly, "You're really no less conspicuous in watching from over there and we're supposed to be a team anyway."
