♚ Rowan de Corbeil / Rex

Rowan blinked in surprise as he heard several shriek-like squawks coming from down below them, and as he looked down, he saw a man riding a Samurott blasting the Murkrow coming to the aid of the Mandibuzz out of the sky, the man on the back of the beast calling out "The Great Sea came to help, as it always does."
He gave a smile and raised the hand holding his sword in a sort of salute, not daring to let go of the saddle while in the middle of air combat, while shouting out "The Dragons thank their oceanic allies!" back down at him before turning back to the fight at hand. Rex and the Mandibuzz were circling each other and staring one another down. Despite Rex being considerably stronger than the bird, it didn't mean this was an easy win. Typing didn't matter much if you could get the drop on your opponent.
Suddenly, the Mandibuzz ducked down, seemingly diving for the ground, but instead, it did a U-turn and dove straight up towards Rex's belly, the dragon swinging an arm to try and bat the bird away, but it managed to stab its beak against Rex's unprotected belly, save for his tough hide. He roared out in pain as the beak stabbed against him, managing to puncture the hide and Rowan grit his teeth at the sound of his partner's pained cry.
"Not on my watch you oversized Ducklett!" He stood up in the saddle, his feet still strapped into it as he reached beneath Rex's arm and managed to jab the tip of his sword against the bird's side, causing it to caw and fall back, flapping its wings to regain height, Rex letting out a rumbling growl while staring down the bird with piercing eyes. Rowan could tell he was close to going into a rage from his breath and his tensed muscles, but he patted his side and muttered quietly to him.
"You need to stay calm, my friend. If you lose your head, we lose the battle. Now… Night Slash!" Rex snarled out as his claws became covered in darkness as the dragon shot forwards through the air, pulling his arm back and unleashing the attack. The Mandibuzz managed to avoid too serious injuries, but he still delivered a rather harsh wound to its wing, the bird retaliating by scratching its talons over Rex's arms, thankfully covered by the armguards, before the dragon pulled back again, the two circling one another again.
Rowan noticed the bird's now slightly troubled flight thanks to Rex's wound and the man smiled, tossing his head to get a tuft of hair out of his eyes, sheathing his sword and grabbing onto the saddle with both hands, knowing that his next plan would require him to keep a firm grip of the saddle. "Alright Rex, here it is… wait for it to attack… and then…"
The Mandibuzz screeched and dove in for another peck as Rowan shouted out "Now, UP!" Rex's wings flapped and he shot into the air, the bird missing the attack completely and flapping desperately to keep its balance. After Rex had flown high up into the sky, Rowan took a deep breath, preparing himself as he shouted out "Dive, make sure it doesn't get away!" Rex roared out challengingly as he ducked down, flying head-first at the bird, the Mandibuzz spreading its massive wings and sending an air slash towards the dragon. Rowan grit his teeth, having to almost shut his eyes at the high speeds of which they were travelling, yelling out over the roaring wind around them.
"You have to take it, or else he'll get the chance to dodge!" Rex raised his arms, the air slash cutting into the unprotected parts of his arms, but he kept diving towards the Mandibuzz. The bird tried to desperately get out of the way, but Rex managed to grip a hold of its sides from behind, roaring out as he chomped down on its shoulders with a pained howl from their enemy as the three were spiraling towards the center of town, and just before reaching the roofs of the houses, Rowan cried out "Pull up!"
The Druddigon let go of the Mandibuzz and made a sharp turn upwards, moving in a bit of a circle to regain height, managing to partially knock over a chimney in the process. The Mandibuzz, unable to spread its wings and get enough air in time, crashed against the ground. It started to move, motioning to stand up again, but just as it seemed like the battle wasn't over, Rex had slammed into its back with the entire weight of his body, crushing the bird beneath him. He pulled his head back and roared out into the sky, Rowan taking deep breaths to calm himself on top of the steep drop before drawing his sword and holding it skywards, triumphantly.
"The Dragons are the undisputed masters of the sky!"
With that, he unstrapped himself from Rex, sliding down his side and patting his neck with a warm smile. "Great job up there. Go help the others clean up, there shouldn't be many birds left now." The dragon let out a huff and flapped his mighty wings once more, going skywards, leaving the crushed body of the mandibuzz slightly dented into the ground as Rowan looked around the city, trying to decide where his help was most needed, though he was expecting that without their commander, the birds would quickly either fall or retreat.
"I hope the prince is safe."
Just then, he noticed a woman nearby, laying in the dirt with a Flygon desperately trying to wake her up. Rowan was sure that the others could take care of the remainder of the Murkrows, and right now, someone had to take care of the injured, or at least begin to. So, he rushed over to the girl, raising his hands to show the Flygon he didn't mean any harm.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm just trying to help her. I'll take her to the inn and try and get her patched up, okay?"
The Flygon didn't seem to want to trust him, but it was, at the same time, too concerned for its partner to want to leave things up to chance, so it backed off. Rowan knelt down and lifted the woman into his arms, wrapped underneath her back and beneath her legs before hurrying off to the inn.
She didn't seem to have taken any battle damage or the like, which confused Rowan a little, but he shook it off and burst into the new empty tavern room. He headed over to one of the benches near the windows, where he carefully placed her down before removing the table from the little alcove, resting down on his right knee while pulling the glove off of his right hand, holding her head still while leaning in to listen for her breathing. As it was clear she was alive, he sighed in relief and hurried off, soon returning from the kitchen with a small bowl of clear water and a piece of cloth, which he wettened and carefully dabbed across her forehead, hoping to at least make her a little more comfortable.
