  • hehe, ok so I suck with topic titles.
Anyway I was just wondering if anyone has some particularly under-used pokemon that they consider to be a really good pokemon.

My personal favorite choice for an under-used pokemon is

Dodrio, I like it 'cuz it's very very fast and a decent attacker.

I know it's defenses are horrible but after a long while (way back in sapphire)
I figured this really good move set for it, that KO's almost anything (except ghost types) in like 2 attacks. It works by turning it's weakness into it's
    strength.

Here's my UBER dodrio move set.
I do realize that a skilled battler wouldn't have much trouble defeating it.
but honestly how often do you see dodrio on someone's team so it's likely
to be a nasty surprise for people.

Dodrio - "Fraoch" <-- Celtic god of fury
    Jolly/Adamant
    Ability: Early Bird
    EV: Spd.252, Atk 252, HP 4
    @ Salac Berry
    Endure
    Protect
    Endeavor
    Aerial Ace

the basic idea of the move set should be fairly simple to understand.
I've used this on Net Battle back when that was still workin'.
This moveset PWNS pretty much every type it's weak to, in only 2 attacks.
I've taken down entire teams with it.

Anyway that's my love for the unloved pokemon.
what're your pokemon that you love that no one else seems to?

  • Hi Vanirelf

Hello! Im new to this PokeCommunity, so I wanted to say hi, and that it looks as though you are a very good trainer. Not many people like pokemon when they "lose interest". I dont have a personal pokemon that I like that nobody else does at the moment, but i think that all pokemon should be treated equally. Like Bidoof, for example. Bidoof is a very fine pokemon, but not many people give it respect because of It being weak. I find that cruel. So, best of luck to you, and i hope we can be friends! ;)

Dunsparce has the second best move pool, next to Mew.

  • I used Raticate and Butterfree. They're both pretty good, especially raticate's super fang and butterfree's sleep powder and compundeyes.

  • My #1 favorite has to be the following Pokemon.

Rattata (Any Nature) @ Focus Sash
    Guts
    -- Endeavor
    -- Quick Attack

    K.O.s level 100's easily.

    Zangoose @ Salac Berry
    Immunity
    -- Swords Dance
    -- Substitute
    -- Flail
    -- Night Slash

    Same concept.

  • He may or may not be good (I could care less about IV/EV's or stats) but my Onix has been carrying me lately in my game.

  • I would say Aggron... double weakness to ground and fighting, but enough Defense for it not to be an OHKO. He has a monster Attack stat (for a UU), decent HP. And he has an amazingly versatile movepool, being able to learn Surf and Solarbeam (although, anyone who actually teaches Aggron special moves is a fool).

    But I went with:

    Aggron @ Leftovers
    Adamant Nature
    - Focus Punch
    - Substitute
    - Rock Slide
    - Thunder Wave

Thunder Wave to make up for his terrible Speed, and to scare any Special Sweeper that might want to switch in. Rock Slide for a STAB and flinch, and SubPunch to take out many things.
