Chapter One: The New Beginnings

Aura. This mystical Energy is said to exist in everything, from the tiniest of Caterpie, to the largest of Wailords, the essence of every living creature. Those who are able to harness their Aura are able to do great many things, such as the projection of a barrier, the capacity to sense others' Aura, and other incredible feats. Harnessing Aura is a difficult feat, as such only very few people are able to make use of its power.

Long ago, a group of people known as Aura Guardians roamed the land, using their special abilities to do good and share their skills and teachings to others. In present times, Aura Guardians have disappeared from the world, and only very few people know that Aura exists, or believe that it is not just another fairy tale.

Little does anyone know that there is more to Aura than first thought.

Today, Naissance have threatened the land of Chihara. Their intentions unknown, only that they do crimes that disrupt the carefully built peace on the new region. The members of Naissance are Trainers with the special ability to morph into a mix of Pokemon and Human, their unique Biology enabling them to shrug off most Pokemon attacks and granting them the ability to use Pokemon Attacks that can be learnt by their Pokemon halves.

This let the criminal organization run rampant around the region, free to do their bidding and causing chaos wherever they appear. That was when a new group of Pokemon Trainers with the same abilities as the Naissance rose up, calling themselves The Saviors.

For two years, The Naissance and The Saviors met and clashed, their powers evenly matching each other. Every plot The Naissance brought to light were stopped by The Saviors, and each move made by The Saviors to rid Chihara of The Naissance hindered at every turn. The delicate power balance between the two group became precarious, and something had to give.

And give it did, in the most disastrous way possible.

The Saviors caught wind of a plot of The Naissance that would have placed the region of Chihara under their grip, and they mobilized to move.

This, my friends, is where our story starts. At the end of the beginning. Let us stare back into time, six months ago, where the first Saviors and Naissance clashed last.

94c0ed58-fa86-47bc-a882-e0694ed02fd1_zps4gq1y4kg.png

"Alakazam, use Light Screen!" The Psychic-Type crossed its two spoons in front of it, the invisible barrier that formed around it and taking the brunt of the Shadow Balls' attack. The Ghost-type move made contact with the barrier, exploding and breaking the shield. The force from the hit sent the Psy Pokemon flying, past its Half-Gardevoir trainer, and out of the battle.

The green-haired, alabaster-white-skinned trainer glared at the perpetrator on the ground thirty feet away from her. She raised both hands, a ball of pink energy gathering between her cupped palms. "Grr...KING!"

"Kekeke~ Aww~ Is the little Kirlia mad?" The man's unnaturally wide mouth stretched into a Cheshire Grin. He raised his arms, his skin a dark-purple from taking his Gengar-form. Another Shadow Ball was sent hurling towards the lone Savior, the two attacks colliding in mid-air and covering the snowy fields in smoke.

When it cleared, the Savior had to roll forward when the King nearly cut of her head with his Claymore, her own Rapier shimmering to reality in her hand.

"Oh, that's right. You evolved." King's face shifted to show his surprise, before he laughed. "You're still weak that I didn't notice."

"It's over King. You're all alone, your plan has been thwarted, and my friends are coming. Naissance is done for." She told him, but King simply smiled.

"Kekeke, such you're so gullible it's funny! You really think the Naissance would be brought down so easily?" King told her. "There's always more of us, more who share our ideals. We'll never vanish from this world."

"What do you mean?" She asked, rapier raised in case King decided to attack.

King smirked, his arms relaxed at his sides. "You never get it, do you?"

The Savior stared at King warily, tying to figure out what he was implying. She felt something tugging in her core, and she looked back to where her friends are, only to see a large explosion. "No!"

The air shifted behind her, and she only had time to watch in horror as the Claymore inched closer to her neck...

The next thing she knows, she was in the forest, King holding his pose as he finished his swing. Her Alakazam crumpled to the ground.

"ALAKAZAM!"

Ariel sighed, staring at the two statues erected by the people of Chihara to honor the fallen Saviors. One of the statues is that of a scarf-wearing girl, her hands surrounded by flames and her clothes are red and white. The other is of a well-built man, his armor made mostly of green and holding a large shield, his cape leaf-patterned.

The last active Savior looked at her watch, counting down the seconds until she meets the new Protectors of Chihara, the next Guardians of the world.

"I've sent them all letters to meet me here... I hope they come. I wonder how they will react to being told that they have the chance to join the Saviors." She muttered to herself, still facing the statues and lost in her thoughts.

"My King, the new recruits have arrived, as you ordered." A man with metal skin said, bowing in front of a shrouded figure.

The King of Naissance blinked his eyes open, his green skin barely perceptible from the dark lighting. "Send them in, Knight."

The metal man nodded, heading back in to fetch the three who inherited the roles of Queen, Jack, and Joker.

"Soon, Chihara will fall."

Chihara Region Map

Misakihara City - The largest city in Chihara. Named after the old town that resided here before Chihara is developed. The city is older than Chihara itself, with old and sturdy buildings in the center surrounded by towering skyscrapers built with influence from around the world. A Savior base is located here.
Key locations: East Exit | North Exit | West Exit | South Exit | Southeast Exit | Southwest Exit| Savior base | Chihara Tower | Crystal Tower

Otonokizaka City - Chihara's entertainment capital. The city is built over a fertile land, dotting the city with flowers, trees, and wild Pokemon in the middle of urban revolution. The Wild Pokemon here are not shy of people, and are often seen playing with children or helping out with the townspeople. There are five stadiums here that features Pokemon Contests, TriPokalon, Olympics, and Concerts.

Key locations: East Exit | South Exit | North Exit | Fire Stadium | Water Stadium | Grass Stadium | Cosmic Stadium | Muse Hall | Otonokizaka Academy

Kasshu City - A city under perpetual rain, and the smallest city in Chihara. Located on an island north of Otonokizaka City. The city is a technological hub with an Academy that focuses on technological advancement. Wild Electric-type Pokemon tend to congregate around the area.

Key locations: South Exit | Kasshu Power Plant | Shuffle Technical and Engineering Academy

Rondon City - The city directly to the east of Misakihara. During the day, Rondon city is a hard working community and is the Art capital of Chihara. At night, however, a dense fog covers the cobblestone streets, promoting an environment perfect for thieves. The city is well known for thief heists between 'Phantom Thieves' and 'Detectives' In the morning, Smeargle, Mr. Mime, and all kinds of hound Pokemon can be found wandering around. During the night, sometimes the fog gives birth to wild Koffings and the home to many Dark Type pokemon. Oddly enough, no Trubbish or Grimer can be found in the city.

Key locations: West Exit | South Exit | Southwest Exit | East Exit | East Cape | Opera Detective Agency | Naissance Main Base

Ruby Road - The route located to the west of Misakihara.

Zultanite Road - The route located to the east of Misakihara. A relatively new route that connects Misakihara and Rondon city. Clear ponds and lakes line the concrete road, while tall grass loitered at the edge of the northern forest.

Seraphinite Road - The route located to the south of Misakihara.

Enma Shrine - The largest burial grounds in Chihara. The old Enma Shrine still stands until today, maintained by the Enma clan. Ghost Pokemon from around the world can be found here, with the exception of Yanmask.
Key locations: South Exit | Memorial Mound

Memorial Mound - A hill overlooking the route to the north of Misakihara and to the south of Enma Shrine. Two statues were built as a memorial to remember the Saviors who gave their life to save Chihara. Sometimes, very rarely, Pokemon can be seen visiting the statues erected on the hill. The only way to get here is through Enma Shrine, but anyone can easily walk to Misakihara without backtracking through Enma Shrine.

Irvine Falcata
For once in a good while, the last thing that Irvine could say was that he was bored. Indeed, though he wasn't so sure about his new... Comrades, this whole Naissance thing seemed like it might be fun. Better than his day job, anyway. Even so, he couldn't help but feel a little nervous about about the current situation: they hadn't said a whole lot about it, but he understood that they were to meet the person in charge of this whole operation.

Whilst he walked, Irvine stuck his hands into the pockets of his coat, and began to twiddle the fishing hooks hidden inside the sleeves between his fingers. He supposed that removing his weaponry probably would have been a little more respectful, but removing everything would have been rather an intensive, dull process, and he was hoping that they'd be called to action fairly soon, so he didn't really want to have to put it all back in. Besides, it wasn't like he was lugging around a giant sword or toting an axe - his weapons were fairly inconspicuous.

So... How was he going to play this? Irvine hadn't really thought about it - calm and collected, probably. He didn't really want to seem like some kind of sociopath. But, then again, perhaps that would be more suited to what they were doing here..?

But he didn't get very long to prepare himself; they were soon in a murky, dramatic-looking room. Appropriate, he figured, to a person calling themselves 'King'. Indeed, with such an atmosphere, he suddenly decided that he seemed far too casual, and whipped his hands out of his pockets, and then, since he felt like it was probably the thing to do, he gave a bow - a little, somewhat awkward one, but a bow nevertheless.

"Er..." He trailed off, completely unsure of what to say. What did you say in a situation like this? He had no idea, "Good day... Sir?"

Well, he was definitely going to get kicked out. He'd made a terrible first impression. Just... Just awful. What had he said to the head of an organisation of presumably at least morally grey people? The equivalent of 'Um. Hi.' Pathetic. Mostly annoyed with himself, Irvine stuffed his hands back into his pockets, and waited to be struck down. Or something.

Madeline Willows

She had took comfort in clutching the envelope that looked so worn in her hands. It was an envelope of getting accepted on being a Gym Leader. She remembered the memories, Madeline had decided to become a Gym Leader, a Dark one, she applied and had gotten tested and now the letter she has held the answer. If she passed, she'd have one of the abandoned gym in an town that wasn't bustling with many people, it wasn't small either, it was in the middle of big and small compared to the other towns. Of course, they'd be remodeling it and throw an advertisement. Madeline did feel sorry to the one who had gotten booted out but she wanted this, she had Dark-type Pokemon ready for the Gym and she had gotten it. The accomplishment made her day. How long has it been since then? 6 months? 7? 8? 9?

Right now though, was not the time to reminisce, besides that, she was nervous, of getting the Queen seat. She flashed at a smile at her two new comrades or were they? Madeline felt a little bit doubtful, should she have gone to the saviours? Maybe she wasn't discrete enough practicing her gijinka self and it is why she had gotten recruited? The umbur haired-girl had reasons though as to why she was here, maybe it was selfish desires, who knows?

Taking a deep breathe, she entered the chambers of the King with the other two as they were escorted, she had put away the envelope inside the inner pocket of her vest to keep it safe. Exhaling quietly, the new 'Queen' clasped her hands together in front and bowed, not a deep bow of course, just bending moderately before straightening, a smile in place, "Hello there, Mr. King." Her tone falsely sweet, why not act for a short while?

Without looking, she reached out and patted the awkward older man's arm before retracting her hand, she was actually feeling in the same boat, just not feeling it strongly as the darkgrey-haired man.

Abby Sparrow

Abby strolls along the street, her destination in sight. The statues are easy to see, and located in a central area. All in all, a good place to hold a meeting. The letter is folded up in her back pocket, but she remembers it well enough. Just for reassurance, she pats her pocket to make sure the letter is still there. "Still havin' trouble wrapping my head around all this. They want me to be a Savior? Hope I don't let anyone down..." She tugs her hat down, a self-conscious gesture.

As she approaches the statues, she can see someone else already there. She is about to say something, but notices how lost in thought the girl is. Instead, she simply stands a few steps behind and to the left of her, looking up at the statues herself. She tilts her hat back, nodding at the man's statue. "Some mighty impressive statues, there. I reckon they're not half as impressive as the folks they're modeled after, though. Being a Savior must be hard, but it'd be a great honor."

She steps forward, offering her hand to the girl. "Hi there, I'm Abby. Did you get a letter too? Askin' you to meet here?"

Dr. Bridget Wasser
Answering the summons

Dr. Bridget Wasser headed out of her laboratory, and made her way to a park. As she walked, she kept a letter close to her chest. She thought about the day the letter had first arrived. She had recalled the letter had told her to go somewhere and to keep an eye out for two statues.

As she was walking, she said to herself, "Now to go and find out who sent me the letter. So it asked me to join a group of superheroes? I thought they only existed in works of fiction." She then looked and noticed a couple of statues ahead. She then said, "Those must be the two statues mentioned in the letter."

When she walked closer to the statues, she noticed two other people nearby them. She noticed that one of them was a young girl, while the other was either a cowgirl or a farmer. She then thought about how sometimes the water samples she had looked at had contained bits of dirt in them. She then walked closer to the other two and said, "So, it seems like I was not the only one to receive one of the letters telling to come here."

Jack Skully

The red-haired boy's fingers tapped impatiently against his leg as he waited to see the King. He had to admit - he was incredibly nervous about this. After all, the promotion was nice and everything, but it put a lot of pressure upon Jack now to succeed. It irritated him a little, as he would honestly have preferred to just enjoy crushing those who would do others injustices. The responsibility of being the Joker would take away from that a little, however, he'd figured that the power that came with the position would be worth it. He hoped anyway.

Jack glanced at the two people waiting with him. The older man, whom he guessed was the new Jack, seemed somewhat familiar to him, but he couldn't recall where he might have seen him before. He seemed somewhat stern. The girl however, he was more knowledgeable of. Madeline Willows was a dark type Gym Leader - he'd watched some of her battles before. She looked far too sweet to be something as dangerous as the Queen. Lucky her, that would work in her favour.

A steel coated man came for them, and before Jack knew it, they'd been lead into a dark room, where he could barely make out the figure awaiting them. This had to be the King. The stern man made the first move, bowing deeply, only to stutter awkwardly on the address to the king. Madeline came across as sweet and supportive of the Jack, addressing the King like a child would address an adult. He paused for a moment, considering the best course of action.

"Jack." Frida's voice echoed through his mind. "Don't just stand back and say nothing - you need to make a good impression. I suggest making it appear as if you and your comrades work together?"

The red haired boy fought to not roll his eyes. He'd already figured that bit out, although he really did appreciate the fact that his Abra was looking out for him and trying to pull him through this. Taking Frida's suggestion to heart, Jack mimicked the stern man's bow, hoping it would give the appearance of them being together on this matter.

Thinking of the words that the King had said when they'd entered the room, Jack spoke smoothly, "Of course Chihara will fall, My Lord." My Lord? He supposed that was appropriate given the King's position, but it certainly felt odd to say. "How could it not, when there are such powerful people on the Naissance's side?" In Jack's book, flattery would get you everywhere. Hopefully, it would work with these people a bit as well.

Vincent Havanikoe - A New Life... maybe?

Vincent looked down at the letter. "They want me to be a Savior?" This was all really confusing. How could this be real? "Maybe it's a prank or something... who would do that though?" He looked at his contest schedule, which was folded up neatly in his pocket. His next contest wasn't for a month, but one of his opponent's names interested him.

Tim Ricker.

That kid always hated him.

Despite this, Vincent still found himself walking towards the two statues that the letter had mentioned. It did seem kinda real, with nobody hiding in the shadows, and a real group of people. There was a girl dressed like a farmer, some sort of professor, and a young girl. They were all girls. These were some pretty odd choices for Saviors, but he didn't want to argue. This was a chance to do something real with his life. To become someone important. Something he could never do with four older siblings.

There was also still the chance that this was all a prank.

Vincent was going to kill Ricker if it was.

He walked into the group of people. "So, I assume you all got letters to come here too?"

The Saviors

Memorial Mound

"Hi." Ariel replied, turning to the new Saviors as they approached. "Good, everyone's here." Grabbing the hand offered to her, she shook it. "I'm glad everyone can make it. I bet you're all wondering who I am and why you're here."

"I am Ariel Bellamy, the Savior's trainer and recruiter. As you may have guessed, I'm the one that sent you the letters." She poked her tongue out. "I don't look much, do I?"

"Now, I'd like to learn more about each of you. We're going to work with each other soon, that is if you accept." She straightened up, looking each of them in the eye. "Being a Savior is a thankless job. There is nothing for us to gain, and everything to lose. I would understand if you would back out now."

The Naissance

Naissance's Hidden Base 5

The King stared at the three new recruits, raising a brow at the introductions of the newcomers. He turned to the Knight, who flinched at the glare directed at him.

"Hmph. This are the best that you could find?" His gruff voice radiated authority, and his words alone made anyone listening to feel as if he loomed over their shoulder after doing something undesirable. "Ah, well... Let's see how well they hold up in an actual operation. Only then will we know if they are fit to hold the position they inherited."

"Knight." The King addressed the Metal Man standing to the side. "Teach them what they need to know and send them on a mission. I'm expecting great things from all of you."

The Knight nodded and led the other Naissance members to another room. He took another look at the members gathered and hung his head. "We're doomed if the Saviors recruit a Fighting-type. Now, tell me your rank, your Pokemon species, and your special skills."

"Normally, each rank has a significant role in an operation, but seeing as the three of you are still inexperienced, I shall handle those affairs for now." The Knight said. "I shall start. I am the Knight, Naissance's Personnel Officer. I have other duties, but that is for myself and the king to know, and for you to never find out. As you can see, I am a Bisharp. As for my special skills, I have the ability to detect a potential Naissance member at a glance."

Dr. Bridget Wasser
Making the Decision

Dr. Bridget thought about what Ariel had said. So she then decided to talk to the other three. She said, "Well I better introduce myself. I am the oceanographer, Dr. Bridget Wasser. Since 'Dr.' is my title, do not refer to my title as 'Miss' or 'Ms.'"

"Now then, I admit I am bit skeptical about being a superhero. Course I do care about the ocean. If being a Savior is a way to protect it, I will gladly accept it. I will protect the ocean with my life. That is all I have to say."

Vincent Havanikoe - The Choice

The girl, named Ariel, spoke up. The last part of the speech was pretty depressing in Vincent's mind, with the final three sentances just killing the air.

"Being a Savior is a thankless job. There is nothing for us to gain, and everything to lose. I would understand if you would back out now."

And then, nobody spoke. Ariel was done.

The professor girl spoke up. "Well I better introduce myself." she said. "I am the oceanographer, Dr.

When did the ocean get involved? thought Vincent. Uhh...

Nobody talked for a few minutes. Vincent assumed they were all thinking the same thing. Should they accept this?

"Okay, first of all," he said eventually, pausing to make sure Ariel was listening, "I accept."

"And for everyone else, I'm Vincent. Just call me, well, actually, call me whatever you want. Vincent, Vince, V, I really don't care. Anyway, I'm a Coordinator, maybe you've seen me, maybe you haven't. I'm honestly not sure if if any of this is real, because next month I'm in a contest with a guy who hates me and loves to pull pranks... so..."

"I would probably have figured it out by now if it was... so, this is really happening? Uhh... wow..."

"Alright, I'll stop talking."

Abby Sparrow
Making a Choice... and a Speech

Abby felt a bit silly for presuming that the young girl was simply another candidate, but she was a nice enough girl. She even shook hands, all respectful and everything. She almost missed the other two candidates approaching, but pulls herself out of her thoughts in time to hear Ariel's opening statement.

The idea of backing out now was absurd, but Abby takes the time to think it over. I could head back to the farm, keep doin' what I've always done. No one would fault me for it... But as she looks at the statues, she realizes that isn't true. I would. I have a chance, a real chance to help people. Didn't I just say what an honor it would be?

She is dimly aware of the other two speaking up, and everyone seems to look at her expectantly. She takes her hat off, running a hand back along her hair. "Well, I'm not one to step aside just 'cause something seems difficult. This here may be the hardest job anyone's ever asked of me, but come on! A Savior? It'd be my sincere honor to protect this land and help it's people! And I'm pretty sure this ain't no prank."

She puts her hat back on, flashing everyone a wide grin. "Name's Abby. Abby Sparrow. I'm not some fancy doctor or famous performer, just a simple country girl. But y'all seem like nice folks, and Ariel here wouldn't have asked us to join if she didn't believe in us. So what do you say Doc, Vinny? Let's be heroes!"

Vincent Havanikoe - The One Where He Really Wonders if He Said the Right Things

The farmer girl spoke next. She said a few things that made Vincent respond.

"And I'm pretty sure this ain't no prank." was one of those things.

"Look, girl, down on the farms, you don't got no competition that's out to get you." Vincent responded. "But I do. And cruel jokes happen to me all the time. So excuse me for being a little paranoid."

And that would have been the end of it. Then the girl referee to him as Vinny.

"You know when I said 'call me whatever you want'?" said Vincent. "Yeah, don't call me Vinny."

Well, I really said all the wrong things. thought Vincent. MaybevI should graph a little less. And my descision to accept the invitation was pretty rash. Did I even really think about it? It's a huge responsibility... and like Ariel said, nothing to gain, everything to lose... But this is too important. I can't back out now. I never will.

I cant back out now... I never will... never will... can't back out...

The words spun through his mind, kind of like a tornado. His descision was final.

Irvine Falcata
Well, all things considered, that could have gone worse - indeed, that he hadn't had his face disintegrated for insolence or whatever was probably a good sign. Besides, it sounded like they were going to be able to go do something soon enough - even if he tripped over his words there, he could at least make up for it with his actions. He hoped, anyway. Some small part of him still whispered about failure and imminent torture, but Irvine ignored it - that was all it ever whispered about. By this point, it was getting boring.

Besides, it was introduction time with his suspiciously friendly comrades.

He had to say, listening to the Knight, that he wasn't so sure about this whole thing anymore - secret duties that they'd never find out'? Sounded sketchy. At this thought, though, Irvine caught himself - of course it was sketchy. Look at where they were - what they were doing. They were criminals, all of them, to be branded as 'evil' by the public and to be combatted with righteous heroes. And that was fine - that's what he'd wanted when he'd signed up for this, wasn't it?

"I'm the Jack - I suppose that makes me the hit-and-run guy - and I'm an Absol," Well, mostly, anyhow, "As for skills..." Making a fool of himself? Cracking under pressure? Being generally pathetic? "I suppose I'm a decent teacher."

He shrugged. There was probably something else, but he couldn't see it, whatever it was. Seemed to him that all he had was teaching and being a genetic monstrosity.

The Saviors

Memorial Mound

A faint smile graced Ariel's face. "Okay, okay I get it."

"I don't know what to tell you now that I'm inducting each of you as a Savior." She said, "But know that I'm grateful that you'll take this heavy mantle."

She took a deep breath and let it out in a single huff. The girl slipped her hand inside her pocket, taking out three mono-colored machines and handed them to each of them.

"These devices stimulate the Aura inside each of you and molds it to a form you can use and handle." She smiled. "This is a temporary fix until you can access your Savior forms without help."

"If you want, you can try it out now, or if you prefer we walk to the hidden Savior base so that we could practice your new powers there?" She asked them.

The Naissance

Naissance's Hidden Base 5

"Hmm..." The Knight stared at the other two. "Quiet, the two of you eh? Ah fine, I won't introduce myself then. Don't expect my help in the next mission."

The Bisharp then flicked the light switch in the room, bathing it in darkness. A second passed before an overhead projector lit up the wall behind him, displaying the map for a city, along with statistics of something or the other.

"Since the three of you will be leading the spearhead for the Naissance, let me explain what is required of each of you." Knight produced a laser pointer from somewhere in his transformed person.

First, he addressed the Queen.

"The Queen is the second in command of all of Naissance. Don't get a big head just because this is the case, you won't get any authoritative power if you don't pass this test of skills." Knight looked at the woman, "Don't think I'll pull any strings just because you're one of the new Gym Leaders. I can kick them and your butt three ways to Sunday anytime of the week."

"Anyway, the Queen's duty is an important one. You lead most operations out into the field, make sure you meet the objectives, or at the very least, give the Saviors a pounding." Knight elaborated. "The Queen's tasks are special, so they are always involved in operations. What they do, is this."

The projector screen flickered, showing the picture of two teens laying waste to the Fire Stadium. The odd thing about the two teens, however, is that they have the appearance of a Pokemon mixed with Humans. After giving the three new recruits a good look of the scene, Knight switched to the next slide.

This time, all that was on the screen is a Pokemon Egg with a spade for a marking.

"This is an Aura Egg. The two teens you saw in the picture before was born from this egg. They caused too much havoc and went out of control. Eventually, the Saviors came and put them down." Knight said, no remorse in his tone whatsoever. "They were made from pure Aura, though this has a side-effect, making them quite vulnerable to the Saviors."

The slide clicked. This time it showed three eggs. One was the same as the last one, a solid-colored egg with a pattern on its front. The one in the middle was also solid-colored, but aside from the spade on its front, colored stars are sprinkled all over it. The last one was different from the rest, having a mix of three colors blended together like oil on water.

"The first Aura Egg is the simplest and most basic one. They are made from the Queen's Aura, and you must find a wild Pokemon to bind to it before it can be used." Knight explained, flicking open a briefcase that was hard to notice. Inside was an egg like the one in the picture, but this one is of a different color and instead of a spade it had a Heart symbol on it. "This is one of the last Eggs created by the last Queen before she... retired."

He passed the egg around. It was about as large as a regular Pokemon Egg in every shape and form. It was hard, heavy, and rough to the touch.

"The problem with these kind of Eggs is that they're basic. The minions they make are certainly a lot stronger than Pokemon, but they're feral, and anyone smart enough can easily dispatch them." The Knight took back the Egg, trying to show another point to the new recruits. "Only the Queen can activate them. Once she does, it'll take some time before it hatches. And once the Minion is born, both the Queen and the Jack may order them around."

He placed the Egg inside an Incubator and handed it to the Queen. It should be noted that once the Egg was inside the glass, it shifted to look like a regular Pokemon Egg.

"That is a special Incubator that changes the Physical appearance of the Egg." He explained to them.

Knight cleared his throat, bringing the attention back to him.

"One thing to note that the Basic Aura Egg has over the other three is that if you can manage to find someone compatible enough to it, it can strengthen the Minion and give it increased intelligence. Almost like another of our Rank, but would still be dedicated to its one purpose." Knight grinned. "What it does varies on the person and Pokemon it is paired with."

Knight sharpened his gaze.

"As for the other two... well, you should discover them for yourself. That is, if the Princess here can create one." Knight's grin turned to a smirk. "Don't get your hopes up, it took over ten months before the last Queen was able to make the second type, and it took her over a week of dedicating her Aura in creating it."

"Now!" He clapped, his steel hands ringing at the action and producing an Iron Sound unintentionally. "For the Joker."

"I'll get to the roles of the Jack later, but this concerns you too." He said to the teacher. "Anyway, the Joker is specialized for Scouting and Infiltration. They can also spy on the operations of the Saviors ('If you can find them,' mumbled Knight)"

The slideshow moved, this time showing the picture of a Ditto.

"Now, do you all know what Aura is? No? Well, bad luck. Maybe after the mission I'll tell you. Still, Jokers are special in that they are capable of masking their Aura all the time. They can also copy the Aura signature of other people they have met, but it isn't perfect." The Ditto on the slide became transparent, and a ball of light was shown in the middle of the Transform Pokemon. "A good Meister can actively spot you, and there are certain people who are impervious to your disguises. It's a good thing that they're few and far in-between."

"Unlike the Queen and the Jack, the Joker isn't really fit to battle." Knight shrugged. "Well, I'm saying that, but the last Joker was able to hold himself against the three Aigis at the time while the Queen and Jack were doing something else."

"The Joker is one of the weakest, and the strongest of our rank." Knight said this seriously. "They're a Wild Card, and with the right hand they could change the result of our engagements with the Saviors."

"The Jack is..." He flushed, which was made more impressive as his skin was currently all steel. "the Jack-of-all-Trades. Pardon the pun, but he can do the Joker's and Queen's duties to a lesser degree. Though, they're most often found fighting against the Saviors while the Minion fulfilled their objective."

"We've had three Jacks before you, and all of them dual wielded swords. Though the first two didn't last long, and the third Jack joined two months after we first met the Saviors." He turned to the teacher. "I sincerely hope that you be smart and know when to retreat or fight. Discretion is the better part of Valor. We will need you in the future missions."

"As for filling in the duties of the Queen, you can only tell who is compatible with an Egg, but not create one yourself." Knight continued with his explanation. "And the Jack doesn't have the Aura masking capability the Joker has."

"Alright. That's enough for one session. Do you have any questions, or should I proceed with the explanation of your first mission?" He then straightened his back, as if remembering something." Oh, that's right. Do the three of you have access to your Pokemon Forms yet?"

Abby Sparrow
Making Friends Already

"You know when I said 'call me whatever you want'?" says Vincent. "Yeah, don't call me Vinny."

"Oh. Alright, uh... Vince. I'll remember that."

Abby feels a little foolish, but her enthusiasm and will to help had been genuine, and Ariel seemed mighty relieved that they were going to join. She hands each of them a device, to help focus their Aura and transform into their Savior form. Abby looks at hers, a little green thing, then glances around the area. There doesn't seem to be anyone around.

"Well, we're supposed to keep this secret, right? Seems a secret base would be the best place to do this. But I think we're alone now, if y'all want to try it here."

Dr. Bridget Wasser
Deciding Where to Practice

Dr. Bridget Wasser accepted the device given to her by Ariel. She then decided to take a closer look at the device. She then thought to herself, Fascinating, on closer examination, looks like a cell phone. I wonder if there are any other hidden features hidden in it.

She then pressed one of the buttons and a brush head popped out of one end of device. She then thought, Ok, so it is a part cell phone and part calligraphy brush. This will be quite useful.

She then heard what Abby had said, which had snapped her out of her thoughts. She then said, "I agree, it would be best to go to the secret base to practice."

As Knight explained his piece - it was certainly interesting - and complicated. At the mention of the previous Jacks not lasting all too long, and of their choice of weaponry, he smiled somewhat - his predecessors sounded like they had been foolhardy people. He would be different, in that respect. He had to survive, after all. Dying would be most inconvienient.

"I'll work hard to avoid needed a replacement, then."

Had they gone through a lot of people, then? Presumably - sounded like they had at least one predecessor each. So, what would the nature of their work be? It sounded like the Saviours were pretty violently opposed to whatever it was, so... It couldn't be much good. How fun.

"Speaking only for myself, I believe I have access to it."
