• selected charmander.
• battled toru, i lost.
• delivered oaks parcel.
• caught 2 mankeys.
• trained them both up to lvl 10.

I just want to make sure you know, but you can only have one of each species. You can have a Mankey and a Primeape on your team, but you cannot have two Mankeys or two Primeapes.

So I guess I'll take rock then.

I don't have a gameshark, but would it be ok to trade, say, a rhyhorn or something over from another game to use as a starter?

Pokemondude23 was apart of this challenge, but then he dropped out. It's OK if you want to be the grass type.

But if you want to stay with Rock, then yes you can trade over a Geodude (or something) to use as a starter, unless you want to wait until Mt. Moon to catch a Geo... its all up to you.

Still training Drowzee with the help of Squirtle atm. I plan to have them both fight Rival O'Henry, but Drowzee needs to be around level 10 since his only two decent moves until level 18 are Pound and Hypnosis.

Oh and I'll continue after E4 and even do Deoxys and Lugia/Ho-Oh battles, if you want.

Heres what I have done:

Insted of trading over pokemon, I decided to wait until route 4 to get a ground pokemon. I chose Bulbasaur to make it easier. I avoided every trainer battle I could and just fought wild pokemon so I could get vine whip at lvl 10. I beat Brock easily and tried to avoid all of the trainers I could on route 3. I made it to the end of route 3 and caught a lvl 7 Nidorana. Im going to deposit my lvl 13 Bulbasaur until I get cut. I am not catching a Nidorino because I consider Nidoking and Nidoqueen the same family of pokemon and I am trying to make this a real challange.

Um is it possible that when I get Eevee, I could trade it over to Emerald 386 and evolve it into an Espeon then trade it back? If not, it's ok. Just that this is one of the worthwhile Eeveelutions, lol.

Edit: I MASSACARED Gary's Pidgey and his Bulbasaur with Drowzee's Disable. All they could do was Growl/Sand-Attack me, but I'd Hypnosis them and spam Pound.

i went to viridian forest to own
i caught krikly(caterpie) and michab(weedle)
then i trained my scyther to 18
evolved my caterpie to butterfree and it's lv 15
so i can get sleep powder
and trained michab to beedrill

You can have the Espeon after you get the national dex... that is if the majority votes for the challenge to go through the Sevii Islands and the E4 (which it probably will) :). ALSO: IF WE DO DO THAT PART (AND YES WE PROLLY WILL) THEN YOU MUST HAVE 60 OWNED IN YOUR DEX TO KEEP GOING.... THAT WILL BE ALL :)

-Obtained Flash from Prof.'s AIDE
-Traded my Spearow for Ch'ding (Fly slave >.>)
-Trained Volt to 25 (needs to be 30)
-Had him obliterate the trainers leading up to Vermillion
-I guess I am going to beat Surge now :)
-Well, 3 digs later and I have the THUNDERBADGE!!
-He gave me Shockwave (My fav move) and some more cash (MOAR!!!)
-More training for Volt and then.. *shudders* Rock Tunnel

Oh, well thanks... Wait... You can get National Dex by trading to R/S/E with the machine, but I'll wait till I meet the standard requirements.

Epic Update 1

- Trained for Rival Battle 2, Squirtle became Level 11 while training Drowzee.
- Beat PKMN Rival O'Henry, and Drowzee disabled his team. Semipermanently.
- Proceeded through Viridian Forest, fighting thousands of Metapods and Pikachus.
- Drowzee became Level 13 and learned Confusion, my saving grace.
- Challenged Brock's slave. Won.
- Fought Brock, hypnotized his Pokemon then confused them. I won.
- Received Running Shoes from Prof. Oak's Aide.
- Prepares to fight the onslaught of trainers and then go into Mt. Moon.

Seriously, I love that Drowzee. It has 26 IVs in ATK and 31 Sp. DEF. Plus like 30 in Sp. ATK. So training it is fun and isn't as boring as some other Pokemon, because of how strong it is.

Update: Oh! And sorry for spamming earlier, I totally forgot!

Made it through Virdinan Forest easily, squirt evolved just in time for Brock.
Beat Brock with 3 bubbles, who knew?
Went on to Cerulean.
Beat Misty and Gary followed her lead.
Passed Nugget Bridge, GUESS WHAT I GOT?!?!?!?
Went on to Bill, got S.S. Ticket, and checked out his collection.
Vermillion awaits.
Along the way, meowth and magikarp were caught. (meowth-HM SLAVE, and magikarp in daycare, im gonna get me a gyrados!!!)
Boarded S.S. Anne, told Gary, got cut, and taught it to meowth.
Beat LT Surge surprisingly on 2nd time with only wartortle.
Went all the back to route 2 to obtain flash from Oaks Aide.
Had to catch 6 more random pokemon (needed 10 for flash)
Headed back to cerulean to go through rock tunnel.
