  • W00t!

I think of creative names. These are some Pokemon I nicknamed:

    Creative Name Example(s)
    • Pele (Pay-Lay) [Hawaiian Valcano goddess] - Torchic (Now Blaziken)
    • Gallium (Gal-Li-Um) [A soft silvery metallic "poor metal"] - Gallade

  • I named my metagross Antimant, short for antimantium. I think it's 3 times stronger than steel. I can't remember how much stronger exactlly.

  • I don usually name my POKeMON. I dunno why. I just don't.

I do remember a couple that I did, though...

In my old red version game I had a Blastoise named Squirtle....
Also, in Pearl I once named my Riolu "Humbert"... I don't remember why...

  • I rarely nickname anything anymore, but I still remember my Pikachu on Yellow. Good old 'Tackler'.
I haven't done that in a while, though. I had a Charizard named Chozza, lol.

I nickname my Pokemon all the time. I just restarted my LeafGreen game and I named my Bulbasaur Sage.

  • I 'unofficially' nickname them (meaning I dont actually do it but call them by nicknames in the real world)

    Ty the Typhlosion
    Skye The Scizor
Amphy the Ampharos (a little nod to Generation II)
    Perry the Swampert
    Lapis the Lapras

  • Many of mine are named for game characters, anime characters, Disney characters, and foreign words that suit the Pokemon.

    Examples:

Diddy the Infernape (after Diddy Kong)
Luce the Luxray (Luce is Italian for light)
Tails the Floatzel (after Sonic's sidekick)

  • Depends, I like to nickname Pokemon I'm going to trade my friends unless they're all anti-nicknames, so I try to find things that fit.

Sakura the Meganium, Poseidon the Suicune, and Angel the Espeon jump out at me from my Crystal Version, however.

  • I've only played the games once or twice (I'm just getting into pokemon again now) but when I use to play, I gave them actual names of people (like Bill, Kevin, Lisa, etc.).
