I think we have room for one more.
Name
Ken Ishigaki
Age
15
Gender
Male.
Appearance
Ken is tall for his age, already 6' 0". His face is rather plain-looking, lacking any distinguishing features. His hair is dark brown, but cut incredibly short, practically shaved off. His eyes are green, a bright green of a similar color to grass. He is large and muscled, especially in his arms, due to his lifestyle and strict training regimen. Due to his eating habits, he is also overweight and heavy, particularly around his stomach. He wears a dark orange vest, with a grey undershirt, black pants with a white obi belt, and dark green sandals. His forehead protector is attached to his obi, like a belt buckle.
Personality
Stoic and calm, Ken is a man of few words. His large size and blank expression lead to people either being nervous around him or thinking he is unintelligent. In actuality, he is a generally nice and even fun-loving guy. He doesn't show emotions very often, but he's smart and analytical, and more than willing to help people out. He believes in an honest work ethic, being kind to people, and helping others just because it's the right thing to do.
On the other side of the coin, he has anger issues. Although he won't show it, he is easily angered by things, and holds onto his anger for a long time. He has found an outlet for his anger in training, and will often go all out in combat situations. Unfortunately, this means he is easy to taunt and trick into doing something foolish, and despite his intelligence, he is easy prey for both genjutsu and more mundane traps and tricks.
History
A couple from Iwagakure moved to Takigakure and later had a child. This child was Ken's father. Ken's mother's family had been natives of the Waterfall for generations. Ken had an average, uneventful childhood, his mother owning a general store, his father a town guard. From a young age, Ken wanted to be a ninja like his father, to help and protect the village. His fairly uneventful life allowed him to train himself for becoming a ninja, at the expense of a normal childhood or friendships.
There's not much else to say about him. With his physical and spiritual training, he never had much social interaction, and with no great tragedy or mystery in his life, his goal is simply to be the best ninja, and the best person, he can be.
Plans for being awesome
My plan is for him to be a master of taijutsu, with some ninjutsu for support abilities. With his great chakra control and physical strength and stamina, he would be a primarily close-range melee fighter, with great strength to aid in mundane tasks. His toughness makes him a good protector, with ninjutsu designed to increase his defensive powers. Although he knows almost no genjutsu, and it would be his greatest weakness.
Sample Text
Ken returns home after his exam, ducking inside the kitchen. His parents would both be working, so he took the time to make himself lunch. Well, second lunch. He allows himself a slight smile, thinking back on the day. It had been eventful, and tiring, too.

The instructor faces Ken, taking aim with his kunai. Blunted for safety, of course. Ken stands ready, his hands curled into fists in anticipation. The instructor throws the pair of knives, striking Ken in the shoulder and chest. A puff of smoke later, a strawman dummy falls to the ground, the kunai stuck in the burlap body. The instructor nods, turning to to look at the nearby desk. "Excellent work, Mr. Ishigaki. Although, you're a bit big to hide behind a small desk like that."
Ken rises, bowing his head in respect. "Thank you, sensei."
~~~~
Ken chuckles at his attempt at stealth. Guess I'm not cut out for sneaking, being this big and heavy. Then again, there are a lot of things I'm not cut out for.
~~~~
Ken quickly flashes through the hand signs, using only as much chakra as needed, never stumbling over the symbols. With a puff of smoke, an exact replica appears by his side, although the instructor shakes his head. "Great form, Mr. Ishigaki. Your level of chakra control is remarkable for one as young as you. But, I don't think the enemy will be fooled by a copy that they can see through."
Ken glance at his clone, which is indeed slightly transparant. "Maybe from a distance?" he asks, not entirely convinced himself.
"Perhaps. ... Very well. You managed to create a passable imitation, and your technique was flawless. You pass, but you'll need a lot of practise if you intend on pulling off any real illusions."
~~~~
Ken stands before five strawman target dummies, about 30 feet away. He looks at the various weapons on the table, then the instructor whistles sharply, beginning the test. Ken grabs a kunai, throwing it at the first dummy. The knife sticks in the dummy's shoulder, nowhere near the target on it's chest. The impact tears off the arm, so he moves on. He grabs two kunai, throwing one ofter the other at the second dummy. The first slices the head along the cheek, while the second hits the outer edge of the target, but hits hard enough to snap the thin wooden support rod.
He moves on, grabbing three shuriken and throwing them all at once at the third target. They all go wide, embedding themselves in the wall. He tosses another trio, managing to at least hit the target. He throws down a smoke bomb, filling the area with smoke. With speed surprising for someone his size, he charges out of the smoke cloud, thrusting a kunai into the bull's-eye of one target, then shoulder tackling the final dummy, riding it to the ground.
The instructor sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Well, I guess you know how to use the tools. If that's the best you can do at medium range, then it'll have to do. I'd love to know how you managed to destroy three of my dummies, though!" He scowls at Ken, who rubs the back of his head in shame. "Uh, sorry?"
Ken sits on the floor, thinking the day over. Sure, it had been tough, and he'd made a few mistakes, but he had passed. He rereads his acceptance form, before folding it and waiting for his parents to come home.
