  • Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've just been busy. I'm (attempting) to catch up on playing all the games and hacks that I didn't really have time for earlier in the year. I can start translating, but it might take awhile. I've got five games I might be Beta-Testing for, three of which are sure deals(the ones in my signature), and two others that I'm waiting on replies from the creators. Between thinking up new plot ideas, learning how to script, picking out collages, and still attempting to keep a normal/active social life, I don't really have alot of time to translate a entire game. I might be able to help, maybe translate some parts of the game, but not all of it. I just don't have the time. But, I will help when I can. Just give me some time. I still need to catch up on all the hacks I've missed playing, Code Geass, and watching more Metal Gear Awesome.

  • Okay, to make it official, I have started translating the hack. I was asked to do it a while ago, but I didn't really have much time. Now that things have slown down for me, I'll get to work on it. I'm currently translating the beta on the first page. You'll have to forgive me if I get a few words wrong. Spanish isn't my native tounge, so I'm using a translator. For some of the sentences, the translator couldn't figure out exactly what you were going for, so I took a shot at it. I may not know much spanish, but I know just enough to barely get by. At some ares, where I felt that the text could be better, I fixed it up. For future references, I named the ingame character "Arcelio". I'm almost done translating th entire "Professor Oak" scene. And uh...quick question. Do I have to translate the text that appears when you get an item? Cause if I do, you might as well find somebody else to do that. I'll do the main script, and maybe some NPC's, and battle dialogue, but that's about it. I also don;t plan on translating the attacks, since that would literally take away all my free time. In some parts of the translation, I got literally completely lost. I didn't know what the word meant, and neither did the translator. I just typed that into the document, to let you know. I may not be the best translator, but I don't see anybody else doing it. This is as far as I've gotten so far.

  • Damn. Harsh critisms from people over a few grammar errors. Spanish ain't my first language people. The only reason I'm doing this is because I'm bored, I want to eventually play this game in english, and translator is somthing I can add to my list of jobs. It's not like I'm not trying people. Spanish words can have different meanings depending on the type of spanish. I have to sift through the words figuring out what makes sense, then re-write the text so that it'll make sense in english, and then repeat the process all the way through the end of the game.

  • Actually, that doesn't make much grammatical sense. It would be "If I was younger, I'd have done it myself." I added "I'd" to shorten it up a bit. Or you might want to change it to "would've."

Ahh yes, Past Tense. Thanks, Vesper.

Well, my guess is wrong. I have another guess. "Ahh! Help!" Well, Vesper, can you tell me if it's correct or not?

(English)Reporter: I repeat, the Pokemon in the Region Keyra are rebelling against people!
(Spanish)Reporter: Todavia no se sabe el porque pero hay indicios de que sea por culpa de Darkrai.
(English)Reporter: It is known that the cause of rebellion is caused by a Pokemon called Darkrai.
    (Spanish)Reporter: Seguiremos informados.
(English)Reporter: We will follow the informed Data from Darkrai. Good bye for now.

(Spanish)Player: Luego ire a ver a Oak que me acuerdo que me dijo que hoy me daria mi prima Pokemon.
(English)Player: Then, I'll go to Professor Oak's Lab to get a Pokemon so that I can follow Darkrai.

I'm not so sure about this one. I'm not even sure if eing himself is correct. I couldn't find any word that was "pascar" in Spanish, so I was guessing that he meant "pasar," which is translated as "pass." The rest of the sentence is translated as "Oh, you leave us pascar," so I guess that it would mean something like "Let us pass."
