One of the most efficient and exceptional thieves in all the region, Luke has made quite the name for himself. Playing to his strengths, he uses his charismatic nature and likability to gain the trust of his victims. Most often walking off with his short term companions' food and supplies in the dark of night. While the boy does some malicious acts he considers it all to be in good nature, as he never truly kills his victims with his own hands.
While Lucas commits ruthless deeds left and right, he's also quite the charming boy. Having always been able to persuade others easily and make friends right off the bat. He's always acting upbeat and positive making him easy to latch on to in this dreary world. Mixing just the right amount of cockiness with his trademark benevolence. To even those that keep their emotional guards up at all time, Luke is quite the dangerous adversary.
Born from a teenage slave girl and one of her owners, Luke was raised in a bandit camp in what used to be Snowpoint City. Having been a result of one of the multitude of rapes that his mother had to endure, the boy was spurned and hated by the young girl. It would not have any effect on him however, because being a male, he was taken in by his bandit captors and trained to be one of them. Lucas took to their lessons as if he was the one teaching them. His likable nature was his deadliest asset, and his instructors took notice of this. So he became their ace card, drawing scavengers in and then running off with most their supplies, letting his brethren to do the dirty work.
The group in which he stayed preached only one phrase. "My survival matters more than yours" This became the motto that Luke lived by but, he never really liked his group. He thought that all the things they did were good but, ever since the groups trip to Mt. Cornet something, somewhere in the back of his mind told him that they were evil. It said that they he was evil, and that everything he did was evil, and that he was a disgrace, and so on. There was something in his head but, he couldn't place what it was. It wasn't a voice... was it?
Laughing it off as he did everything else, Luke just kept about with his daily routine, but the more he thought about it the more clearly he heard it. It was a voice, a booming one, but it didn't sound like any person he had ever met before. It was almost metallic and rusted, as if a large robot had been speaking but, It was clear what it said. "Lucas stop this, you have so much potential. Stop throwing your life away."
Luke didn't know what to do. Was he going crazy? The voice sounded so real and genuine though. He decided to speak back in his head. "Hello? What in the world is this?" The voice answered. "My name is Argo, I am a Pokemon of the Metagross species. When you encountered the stone in Mt. Cornet I chose you to be my host. You show so much promise which you could use to do so much to help this world, yet you run around with this group of thugs and prey on others. Leave them and fufill your true potential." Lucas laughed but, as he closed his eyes on his bed he could make out a large figure. It looked as if it were made of steel, it stood on four tremendous legs and gave him a piercing look. "I am real, if you were wondering."
As that line was spoken the boy's entire arm transformed into a bulky chunk of metal. "What the hell..." He looked on in wonder. "Leave this group as I have said, there are others like us out there." While it was true he didn't like the "family" in which he stayed with, they were enjoyable company and Luke felt as if he owed something to them for raising him. "I can't do that, I'm staying." "I was thinking that you'd say that." The pokemon's voice boomed in his head. "Just wait and see, you'll be on your way soon"
For the next couple days Luke felt a bit uneasy about the pokemon's words but, went about his normal routine, stealing from a couple different groups in that time. All the while, he heard Argo's voice lecturing him. The two talked often and while he judged the boy often, Lucas felt a strong connection with the Metagross and the two made a strong friendship albeit one where they argued often. Then Argo's statement came true. It was dinner time in the camp and Luke being one of the more important boys of the group he sat close to the initial, older and more respected bandits.
During their meal he joked with everyone as he always did he stopped suddenly when his poke-spirit's voice spoke. "Hold on tight!" The ground below his feet started to shake slowly but, steadily. It accelerated with every tremor, the whole encampment shook violently. People ran terrified, screaming in terror. The bandits ran for their lives while the slave girls cried for help. "What the hell is this?!" Lucas' panicked voice yelled out to Argo. "An earthquake I made, now just hold on and I'll protect you!" The voice responded quickly before the boy's body was enveloped by steel. "What in the wo-" He was cut off as a rock slammed into his head and his senseless body fell on to the quavering floor.
Luke awoke to the sound of Argo's voice. "You alright kid?" He tried getting up but his entire torso was pinned down by entire pillar of stone. Looking at his body in wonder as the steel in which he was covered, protected him, he asked. "Holy ****... What is this?" "It's called Iron Defense, it comes in handy quite often. Now lets get this thing off you, shall we? Just slam down your arm onto the piece of trash. My Hammer Arm should go into effect." Luke followed Argo's instructions and the pillar shattered on impact.
"Damn..." He looked around to only find his former home completely in ruins. Bodies of those he spent his entire life with, were crushed under piles of rubble and his home was in shambles. He walked around scavenging what he could and ended up with a small bag filled with clothes, food, and supplies. No remorse or sadness came over the boy as he stared at his old home for the last time. "My survival matters more than yours." He said one last time before leaving, to never see that place ever again.
"Where to now?" Lucas asked his friend aloud as they traveled out from the snowy regions. "There are others like us... We should find them and join forces along side them. Any idea where they might be?" Thinking back to the stories that his companions would tell he remembered one that sounded quite relevant as of now. "There was a place that the others would talk about. Children's City. I think that's where we should go." And so the poke-spirit and his host ventured south, to the city they sought.
A very dignified and honorable poke-spirit, Argo always looks out for his host and wants what is best for him. The two's friendship is quite strange as the pokemon is dissaproving of Lucas' thieving ways but, allows him to go about them so that he will carry on with their journey. However, the two care strongly for each other, so much that Luke credits his poke-spirit as being his one and only true friend.

Argo being a Metagross, is a result of two Metang fusing together. This gives Metagross four brain in total, all connected by a complex network of neurons. Because of these complex connections and the number of brain, this Pokémon is capable of complex calculations and is more intelligent than a supercomputer. It uses its intelligence to analyze its opponents during battle. (Taken from Bulbapedia) Lucas' also uses this to his advantage by studying his victim's reactions and emotions at an accelerated rate, almost always being able to find the appropriate response in mere moments.
Sitting by the warm hearth Lucas gave a lengthy sigh. He rummaged through his newly collected assortment of items. "Not bad picking… Not bad picking indeed." There were supplies and food that would last him for a few weeks at least. "Now I won't have to hear your whining about my activities for a couple weeks." He teased as he tossed an apple up in the air and caught it.
"Funny." Argo's voice oozing with sarcasm responded. "Don't you think that it's about time that you, stopped all this?" Luke gave a light hearted groan. "Here comes lecture time!" Taking a large bite out of the fruit he kept talking. "How are you gonna try and persuade me this time?" "This is for your own good but, seeing as you won't listen to anything that I say… Promise me something." "What'd I tell you Argo? I don't make promises." "That's not what you told that last group now was it? Just hear me out." Luke hesitated a moment before giving a begrudging response. "Fine, what is it?" "Stop all of this once we reach Children's City."
Giving a trademark grin Lucas just laughed out loud. "This is all I know. This is all I do. My survival matters more than yours, buddy!" He could hear Argo's voice faintly muttering curses to himself. "You know what? Just to make you feel better, I'll consider it. In the mean time, I feel like the crazy guy I took my knife from is making good ground on us, so let's get going." He kicked gravel on the small fire and slung his bag on his shoulder. "I'm serious though.. I'll think about it." "Bull**** you will." The metagross' angry voice murmured. "Yeah, you're right!" Luke burst out into laughter as he started on again with his journey, in the enveloping darkness of the night.
