Jamhand Carter the Unmatched, Charabanc
Jam slowly ambled past Raichu's guild. It had been nine years since he and Jan graduated from the respectable guild. The Golurk remembered all the hardships he and Jan endured so that they can graduate, and build their own guild. And they successfully did. Now, Charabanc is a top-caliber guild with six members. Jam is proud.
Today, he gathered all six members of his team. They are to discuss something Jam wanted to discuss with them for the past month. But he needs the teams' approval. So he told them to gather at the Charabanc team base, and wait for him. Jam guessed that all his members are already there. Jan probably helped him round the others up. Gin the Slowbro is very notorious for being late, and Battlebeard is getting very old for rescue missions, and he is getting senile in Jam's view. Aside from Jan, these two members were one of the founding members, recruited by Jam when the guild was still a year-old. Fhanda, the Liligant followed four years after, and is really young. And Leo, the Arcanine is the newest member. He is proud of his team's strength.
And now, he is to add one more to their ranks.
Jam finally reached the door to Charabanc's headquarters. The door is a simple mahogany door, adorned with a gold handle and silver letterings around it, saying "Excellentia Honorem," which is the Ancient equivalent for "Honor Excellence." Jam is proud of the door because it signifies what the guild stands for. He pushed the door, and it opened silently. No creaks. He was sure that everything in his guild is well-kept. Every time he enters that door, Jam felt like Sir Luke the Lucario Knight entering his own castle. Jam grinned at the idea.
Hey, why not? The main hallway of the guild is lined with knight armors and such. He turned left and opened another door. This is the Assembly Area where the members gather for important meetings. Jam's hunch was right. Jan helped him round the others up. The long table was designed for ten members, but only six seats were taken up. Today, he might get the permission of the guild to have another occupied.
Jam sat down on the head chair. Jan was to his right, and Gin to his left. Battlebeard was sitting beside Gin, and had his eyes closed. Fhanda is beside Jan, with Leolamin beside her. Jam looked at his teammates. Battlebeard woke up with a start.
"Yes, yes, I agree," he said sleepily. Everybody turned to look around. Fhanda snickered. In a moment, the laughter couldn't be kept in, and everybody laughed. "Why?"
"Man, the meeting has not yet started!" Gin howled with laughter. "It's too obvious you were sleeping." Battlebeard looked around, confused.
"Well, let an old man sleep," Battlebeard said, and he dozed off again. The laughter continued until Jam held out a hand. Everybody became silent, and looked intently at Jam.
"I gathered you here to make a proposal," Jam doesn't like to dilly-dally. Straight to the point is how he does things. "I need your approval." Crucial guild matters are discussed by the whole guild, or a high council. These decisions are critical to a guild's future.
"Spit it out," Leolamin gruffly said. Jan nodded.
"I think it is time to recruit another member," Jam let the statement linger. Fhanda asked the obvious question.
"It depends who the member is. We all know the guild's criteria."
"It is Zoro," Jam simply replied. Suddenly, Jan stood up.
"I am against. That Pokémon is a natural prankster, and has no any sense of discipline. That is my stand," Jan sat down again. Battlebeard woke up again.
"Zoro? The Zorua? I think he'd be fine. He's a quite nice lad, he helped me quite a few times," Battlebeard remarked. "Plus his bell chimes are good to the ears." Jam loved hearing opinions about things.
"I think I'm fine with him too. He may be a prankster, but he's a total darling at times. I'm sure training here in Charabanc will tame him out," Gin pointed out. "I agree."
"We will not get along. He hates the fire-types. I want him here, of course, but we wouldn't get along I presume, so no," Leolamin revealed. "I'm an Arcanine, of course."
"So, it is three to two, leaning in acceptance. It all depends on Fhanda right now," Jam''s voice resounded inside the room. Fhanda giggled.
"He's cute. And a Zoroark, if ever he evolve, would be a great teammate," Fhanda said.
"So that's it, we would be offering Zoro to be a part if this team. I will go and look for him, and invite him. It still all depends on him, if he wanted. Meeting adjourned." Smoothly said. Guild meetings in Charabanc is usually smooth. No outbursts, no fighting, unlike other uncivilized guilds. Jam stood up and headed out, back to Bell Town. He started looking for the Zorua, and saw him laughing a top a roof, with an Exeggcute looking angry and wet on the ground.
"Another prank. O, Arceus. I hope I get this child," Jam shooked his head. "Hey, Zoro!"
