So a few days ago, I was flying back from the UK to Toronto, and before getting on the plane, I wandered around the Terminal in London Airport.
I went into WHSmith, and saw a Pokemon Magazine, "Pokemon World". Naturally, I picked it up and started flipping through it.
It had a Q&A field, and one of the questions was some kid asking about Pokemon Special. They asked something along the lines of "Is the guy on the cover of [volume 1] Ash? He doesn't look like it! My friend said he is, but I'm not totally sure."
The guy from the magazine replied with something like this (not exact, but you get the idea): "Pokemon Special is another medium of Pokemon, just like the anime. Just because the guy on the cover doesn't look like Ash, it doesn't mean it isn't! In fact, it is Ash! If you want to try something new, read Pokemon Adventures, because it has a new story of Ash & his friends! The anime, however, will always be my favourite."
I was
OUTRAGED. This guy totally got it wrong. First of all, the guy on the cover is
Red, not ****ing
Ash. The whole series is totally unrelated to the anime, yet WTF?
Ash and his friends? WHAT THE HELL?
I wanted to write a complaint email to correct the dude (read: ***** out at him), but I didn't find an email on the magazine's site (
https://www.pokemon-world.co.uk - yes, I memorized it).
BUT STILL.
ME IS PISSY.
