What does it mean when people write stuff like this:

    Kabutops | Move | X-Scissor | 39.2
    Kabutops | Move | Aerial Ace | 8.5

I've seen it around and I have no idea what to make of it.

Judging from the thread you copied that from, I'd say those are usage statistics. The thread you got that from was discussing how X-Scissor was used over Aerial Ace. "Kabutops" was the Pokemon, "Move" is the category being narrowed down "X-Scissor" and "Aerial Ace" are the moves used, and "39.2" and "8.5" are the percentages of how often they are used on that Pokemon.

    *Tedious Googling*

    Yes, they are.

I caught a shiny Houndoom, so I'm thinking of using it, does it have good Ivs and a good nature? If yes, in what Stat should I EV train it? Or what moves should I teach it?

Uhh well i didn't want to bump my team thread, but i was wondering, what should i replace my mixmence with? My team is currently: Machamp, Swampert, Jolteon/Electivire (haven't fully decided yet), Heatran, and Alakazam. I like Salamence but i already have enough sp attackers and want another physical attacker. Would flygon/metagross/a normal salamence/anything like that be good? or maybe a jirachi? I've got the movesets/ev's/everything else i just need help with that part of it. Or maybe i could even use a shield.. I'd just like suggestions please :)

I am new to competitive battling and I am trying to come up with a good unexpected team for a tournament between my friends and I. We will be using standard rules. Feel free to suggest new movesets, Ev spreads, or even new pokemon if you can point out some flaws. My team is incomplete and nothing is set in stone so I am open for requests. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ah, I understand. Thanks for that googling, I would have never found that on my own ^_^. I have one more q though, imagine I have a hippowdon lead going against an abomasnow lead. What determines which weather effect takes precedent? Speed I'm assuming?

Yes. Which ever Pokemon is faster will have their ability activated first. Ironically, this means that the slower Pokemon will keep their weather advantage.

Ah. Makes sense. Well that's good because my hippowdon is slower than just about everyone =p Thanks.

So I had an idea for a UU Pokemon and I wanted some input. I give you: CurseFlora

    Sunflora@Leftovers
    Chlorophyll
    Careful
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Sp.Def / 4 Def
    Curse
    Leech Seed
    Seed Bomb
    Toxic

Does this set seem at all usable, or is it just pure fail?

Not utter fail I guess XD...But there are other more potent physical threats than Flora. Even after a few Curses, with no Attack of Defense EVs, he won't be doing damage to a whole lot, especially with only one attack. You're totally walled by anything that resists Seed Bomb. I'd go with something else, Sunflora should only be special attacking.

I caught a shiny Houndoom, so I'm thinking of using it, does it have good Ivs and a good nature? If yes, in what Stat should I EV train it? Or what moves should I teach it?

    lv23
    Timid
    Hp-74
    Atk-46
    Def-31
    Sp atk-60
    Sp.def-46
    spd-60
    Flash Fire

    Stats at Lv 35
    Hp-108
    Atk-69
    Def-45
    Sp atk-89
    Sp.def-68
    spd-89

    Houndoom - #229 (Timid)
    HP: 30 - 31
    Att: 26 - 28
    Def: 15 - 17
    SpA: 20 - 22
    SpD: 20 - 22
    Speed: 28 - 29

Good nature, decent IVs. Might wanna consider a rebreed to get that special attack a bit higher. It depends on what you want to do with it really, most sets are EV'd in special attack and speed.

I though someone would help me... I guess I should go somewhere where people are willing to help beginners.

You almost have a full team there. Chances are, if you posted an actual RMT, you'd get some good rates. We are willing to help, but not everyone checks this thread, and most people that do aren't looking to rate full teams. You should just add another member to your team and post your own thread. ;D

Ok I'm sorry. I will post it to rate once I fill that spot. I just thought someone could help me with that. I had this...

    Togekiss @ Leftovers
    Calm / Serene Grace
    252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Air Slash
    ~Roost
    ~Aura Sphere

K i posted but a mod needs to approve...

@_____@ No EQ ? No Earthquake automatically makes it bad.

Torment is honestly a meh move and so is counter. >.<

There are 3 decent sets i find for it, you should be looking to abuse its team support roles really.

    Nidoqueen@Leftovers
    252 HP / 200 DEF / 12 SP.ATT / 44 SPEED
    Relaxed Nature
    Trait : Poison Point
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Blast / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
    - Toxic Spikes
    - Stealth Rock

Is the set i have most success with in OU, its a pretty decent tank actually. You can put another special attack over any of the spiking moves, but thats what Nidoqueen does best so id say keep them both. The speed evs beat neutral 0 speed base 70's such as Skarmory and Metagross etc.

    or

    Nidoqueen@leftovers
    252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 Att
    Impish Nature
    Trait : Poison Point
    - Roar / Stone Edge / Ice Punch
    - Toxic Spikes / Roar
    - Stealth Rock / Roar
    - Earthquake

Pure spiker, probably better on stall teams.

    or

    Nidoqueen@Lum Berry
    252 HP / 200 Def / 12 SpD / 44 Spe
    Relaxed Nature
    Trait : Poison Point
    - Taunt
    - Stealth Rock / Toxic Spikes
    - Ice Punch / Stone Edge
    - Earthquake

    Lead.

I was wondering, why does nobody use Ranpardos? I mean he has up to 471 ATK. Couldn't a Scarf Rampardos rip throught teams?

    He falls prey to toothpicks.

Rampy has mediocre HP and his defenses are that of a marshmallow. With a Choice Scarf, his speed reaches a whopping 87 base. If he was previously moving at the speed of a slug, he would now be moving at the speed of a slug after listening to DragonForce. The only thing Rampardos has in for it is Mold Breaker, but even Pinsir does that better.
