  • 36. Liechi - Route 130

It should be noted that the Liechi Berry appears on Mirage Island - something very few ever see. I haven't been so lucky yet, but a friend of mine traded me a Poke with a Liechi Berry, and I harvested the crap out of it. So chances are if you're not lucky and don't have any connections, you'll doubtfully see this enigmatic berry any time soon.

  • 1st Gym:Treecko or mudkip
    2nd Gym:Torchic(because of peck)
3rd Gym:Marstomp(because of immunity to Electric type attacks and Ground type attacks)
    4th Gym:Marshtomp
    5th Gym:Blaziken
6th Gym:Not Sceptile(none really have any advantages here but I alyas prefer Swampert because it can learn Ice type attacks)
    7th Gym:Swampert
    8th Gym:Sceptile

I hope that is what you wanted to know.

  • Which pokemon would be the best to beat the gymleaders in ruby, sapphire, and emerald?

Starter-wise, the best to use would be Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert in R/S/E. The Gym leaders and the E4 are weak and really easy to beat, so all three of the starters technically can beat the game but Swampert is teh best.

    That's nice.

    I also have a question?:

Which pokemon would be the best to beat the gymleaders in ruby, sapphire, and emerald?
Mudkip is far and away the best choice as your starter. As for the best Pokes for each gym, I will borrow pichuman's format and expound on it:

    1st Gym: Mudkip, Treecko
    2nd Gym: Taillow, Kirlia, Marshtomp
    3rd Gym: Marshtomp, Geodude
    4th Gym: Marshtomp, Lombre, Graveler
5th Gym: Hariyama, Machoke, Combusken, Marshtomp
    6th Gym: Swampert, Gardevoir, Ludicolo
    7th Gym: Swampert, Cacturne
    8th Gym: Sceptile, Gardevoir

As you can see, the Mudkip evolution can be used in every single gym, even the last one where a STAB Earthquake (if you aren't patient enough to wait for Swampert to learn it at Lv52) can take care of them all.

  • I have another question. Should I give my Ludicolo Sunny Day or Rain Dance?

    Sunny Day:
-Boosts the Fire moves of my other Pokemon
    -Synthesis works to 100% HP
    -Lowers my Ludicolo's Surf
-Wait a second!Does Ludicolo learn Sunny Day?

    Rain Dance:
    -Boosts Ludicolo's Surf
    -Fills Ludicolo's Rain Dish
    -Synthesis works less effectively
    -Lowers Fire moves

Hmmm... why not replace Synthesis with Rest, and use Rain Dance. Not only would that boost Water attacks, but if you use Rain Dance before you Rest, it will help recover damage done during the two sleeping turns. Not to mention you never really want to use combomoves that don't work together; ie, using Sunny Day to cut Surf and maybe it cuts Ice Beam too, for the sole purpose of restoring HP. Rest + Rain Dance wold work beautifully with the Rain Dish trait, although I'd prefer Swift Swim and Rain Dance.

IVs should be used similarly to EVs - boost the strengths instead of trying to cover weaknesses. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but not enough for it not to be one.

Aipom surely sticks out in your list. I cannot even list all the Normal-types that are better than it. Good luck with that one.

In R/S/E, Elemental punching moves like icepunch, thunder punch or fire punch are calculated by sp.atk or atk ?
Only in DP are these moves considered physical attacks. In ALL the other games, they are ELEMENTAL punches, or special attacks that are calculated by a Poke's SAtk.

  • Phrase Matching (EMERALD)

I finally got Emerald version as something to do before D/P comes out next month. Now, I was in a Mart just now, and saw a questionnaire. I have NO clue what to put here.

Same with the sad girl in Rustboro, who will smile when you say something funny, yet "Chunky Chops" isnt funny -_-|||, so I don't know what to put here.

Can anyone hint/give me the answers please and thanks?
