Team Apokélypse (Now Recruiting!!)

Alright, let's begin. I have recently publicised my project "Pokémon Apokélypse". For more details on this hack, click here.

As you can see, a few months of lone, hard work has produced something that could be done in a matter of weeks by a hard-working, committed team.

Speed is of the essence. I am looking to assemble a flawless team to help me push this hack towards the Hall of Fame. Think of it like a wagon (or an 8 wheeled lorry) and a finish line; the longer the wheels stay on the wagon, the further it will go. If it goes long enough, it will reach its finish line. This is no different with a team; each member is vital it its own area.

I believe a big team it not only beneficial, but also crucial as the more brains we have, the more resources we have, therefore the more success we have. So if you are reading this and contemplating whether you should post a reply or not, what's the worst that can happen? Let your true colors show, right here.

hi, I'm new to PC (apparently a little too new, as I can't post images or links yet), but I'd really be interested in helping out.

My Skills are: Mapping, Trainer sprites (mostly splices), and I've also got a creative flare for story-lines, area designs, etc.
Past Projects: I haven't been in any "public" projects, but I have done my own personal stuff, including re-designing the majority of Fire Red's maps.
No current projects either...

Proof of your best work: Tons and tons of created ideas not put into action...not much proof but...give me a challenge in a pm for an Idea and i'll show you what i can do. I notice your asking for ideas for starters Well i found that Psychic, dark and fighting are just like Grass, fire, and water. so maybe Ralts, Machop, and poochyena (lack of 3rd evo darks less its seedot or fakemon (which i would go with a cerberus type, if you would))(or Larvitar but it doesn't start out dark.)

I'm sorry atif, but based on your lack of tangible proofs and the fact that we currently have enough skilled mappers, we are going to have to say no. I'm truly sorry but the mapping spots are currently filled.

Hm...not much to work on...like giving a carpenter a tree to try and turn it to a birdhouse and having him gather the tools, refine the wood, slice it to needed parts then build and paint it along with and indoor and outdoor swimming pool. but to make something truly great you need....hard word....perseverance....and.....hard work. yes i did say hard work twice since it takes twice as much hard work than perseverance. (A/N Chicken run reference)

Quest idea-

The 'Annoying rival wannabe that always wants to beat you (But isn't very good) and is for some reason always one step ahead of you not matter what', After he is defeated he runs off leaving behind a Item such as a Rare candy, Protein, hp up etc.

Example: Noob trainer Bob. Bob is a thief and ends up stealing your first colored ticket, (since he sucks) as well as notorious for pick pocketing to buy bribed Pokemon( as well as the rare candy and proteins that he keeps dropping) hoping they would make him better (than you), making you do another tournament for another ticket.

Bob: *Sees you and runs up!* I saw you battle earlier. you look like a really good opponent to test my Pokemon on!
Noob trainer Bob: *Challenge to a battle*: This is my....Rattata! (A/N yea...its a bleach reference)
Defeat: No way....your tougher than I imagined!
After: Now I see your the one....The one that I'm destined to beat...You haven't seen the last of me! *flees*
You notice something on the ground: You picked up a Protein.

side quest idea-

A few Item chains...those little annoying errands to run to get an item to give it to a person that trades you the item that is needed by the other to finally obtain what you need. Like maybe a stash of rare candies. A rare Pokemon. The secret location of a legendary Pokemon. or even......a Bob repellent....

Example: to get to the location of the secret stash of rare candies.:
Marie: I'll tell you if you get me a fresh apple fritter from the baker in (insert name) town.
Baker: An apple fritter, well if you can get me some Tropius fruit, i hear a kid has on on route # has one.
Kid on route #: huh sure have a Tropius, if you beat me I'll give you the fruit. (In game they will be lot longer than this.)

Ideas for rare and valuable Pokemon-

Spoiler:

• A Pokemon with a usually unobtainable move- ex: Ninetales that knows Shadow ball
• Pokemon with higher stats- ex- Charizard with base (neutral nature no ev training) Sp. Attack of 348 (same as a Helpful nature) other than 317.
• Pokemon only found in Danger battles- Like maybe the only way to get a Torchic is to beat Kid, Sally or Trevor in a danger battle.
• Shiny- if possible since Shinies are awesome.

Legendary Pokemon idea-
A few Legendaries interested in the new type of battling disguises itself and enters the battle. It reveal itself once team is defeated and if it is defeated it joins the winner. Due to transformation only a few Pokemon can achieve this, being mostly Psychics like Mew, mewtwo, Celebi, Latios, latias, jirachi and deoxys.

main quest idea-

The evil leader of the organization- Your rival's older brother! He left on an adventure years before you to did he was quickly bored or normal battle and Created the Danger battles for more excitement, and he is richer as well. Your best friend betrayed you as he wanted to go separate to test your abilities knowing you had great potential to really make the underground tournaments be popular, undermining you the whole way. You fight the brother after he lost, as your friend takes control of the organization and then fights you.

The Ultimate master of darkness and destruction:

...Bob? (which wold be a psychotic raving lunatic with an obsession over you and overpowered Pokemon, crazy stalker...)

All of these are summarized in a nutshell as i finished all of these in about a few hours after reading the post. I do hope my work is good and hope I can help.

All right. Can you think of some ideas for a large route? Every hack has a long route, but getting from one side to another just isn't enough, right? I'd like you to come up with one or two small ideas of what could happen on this route. The route is the usual grassland route, if that helps!

Thank you for your interest in Pokémon Apokélypse. Read through the storyline of the hack by clicking here and I'd like you to compose some dialog for a quest that you think would fit the scenario (for example, writing the dialog of the "suspicious man" talking to the player and telling him about these underground battles). You must have an intelligent and creative flare with your way of words.

Just reply on this thread once you've finished and I'll make my assessment. Keep in mind that this job requires quality over quantity; I'd much rather read a paragraph of flawless literature than four to five paragraphs of nonsense.
