In 1945, 1 dollar was 4 pesos moneda nacional. Today, a dollar gets you about 85 trillion pesos moneda nacional (8.5 pesos convertibles) in the official market and 130 trillion pesos moneda nacional (13.5 pesos convertibles) in the black market.

When I arrived in Argentina, one eyar ago, an euro bought me 11.5 pesos convertibles. Today it gets you 17, after hitting a high of 20 last month. Inflation currently sits at 45%, after reaching a ridiculous 4,923.55% in 1989.
