Something I thought of... Pachirisu moveset:

Pachirisu @ Focus Sash
Timid Nature
EVs: 252SpAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power (Ice)
- U-turn

That's probably the best chance it has. D:

Focus Sash because it'll need to survive EQ at least and the moves are as wide as it goes really...
But it's not fast enough still, sadly...

U-turn helps it run.

Not really. I would probably use Pachirisu in Pokemon Contests-but I don't have D/P on DS. As for Pikachu I would rather have it evolved...but Pikachu is the cuter form. ^_^

Only wild pokemon battles. The group of Pachirisu I have (yes group of 4!) form my Pickup/Thief Team designed to get hold of berries and items found on wild pokemon and via the Pickup ability. Pikachu-wise I'm training one on my Emerald at the moment, but planning to evolve it later.

I've used Pikachu much, but since I don't have Pokemon Diamond yet, I haven't been able to use Pachirisu. </3
I really loved the game Pokemon Yellow, how you have a Pikachu following you. <3 It's so adorable! XD
I'm not sure whether or not Pachirisu has strong moves actually. XD

When I played Pokemon Yellow, I used to just use something that makes it go fast and have Pikachu have maximum love for me. D: Oh, and also the surfing game is awesome.
