The scene where Neptune was blasted towards a jagged rock wall kept repeating in his Empoleon mind. A Gold Tribe member, the master tactician, knocked out cold just because of a Hydro Cannon attack, what a shame! Neptune kept scowling even though he was in coma-state. How did I get into this mess?!
Neptune could imagine it now. Hundreds and thousands of people, pointing and laughing at the poor penguin Pokemon known as Neptune, the representative of Poseida. The tactician of the Gold Tribe. Down in two strikes. Even a little rookie could do better than he did. Growling at himself, trapped in the black dimension of nothing, he hated himself more than ever. He had proven himself useless more than twice already. And now, he was carried by somebody, in front of everybody, no idea what was going on.
When he was about to continue blabbering, he could see the light again. He was awake, and he saw himself lying on Dragonheart's back. Blushing in embarrassment, he got up and hopped off the Salamence, "S-sorry about that Dragonheart."
For the rest of the journey, Neptune stayed hidden, following the crowd behind a row of trees. He didn't want to see anybody. He saw a Kirlia and sighed. That Kirlia could possibly beat him too. He needed to train...people were catching up with their skills, and fast. He followed Kent from behind, hiding behind tree trunks so he couldn't see him.
