- Started the game and chose Cyndaquil as my starter
- Went to Mr. Pokémon's house and received the Pokédex as well as the egg
- Defeated my rival in Cherrygrove City
- Gave the egg to Prof. Elm and embarked on my journey
- Caught Poliwag on Route 30, trained him around Cherrygrove City
- Caught Ghastly on Route 31
- Ascended Sprout Tower with Gastly
- Took on the Violet Gym pretty easily with Poliwag
- Traveled to Azalea Town
- Dealt with Team Rocket and saved the Slowpokes
- Challenged the Azalea Gym, thanks to Hypnosis, it was easier than it should've been
