Appearance: From afar, Cherry looks exactly like a non-shiny, healthy, and unscarred female Weavile. Her body is covered in purplish-black fur with a fan-shaped crimson 'crown' that appears to be a permanent and natural part of her spiky head. Her shorter-than-a-male's ear feathers -- which take the form a slanted, upside down semi-circle -- as well as her collar and two pointed tail feathers all have the same shade with that of the 'crown.' The only parts in her physical structure that aren't crimson or purplish-black are the three sharp claws on each of her arms and legs, including her sclera -- they're all white; additionally, on her forehead lies a yellow circular gem that has three lines above it, though they may not be very visible unless one is in a close-enough range.
The single thing that sets this certain Weavile aside from the normal ones is the color of her irises: instead of having an identical tone to the collar and everything else that's crimson, they're of cherry-red, which means they're much brighter than they should be. A lot had grown quite fond of them, saying how striking they seem to be, especially with their color contrast to the black pupils of her slanted, upside down semi-circle eyes that 'are almost facing each other.'
Although it's present just to the sense of touch, there's one other thing that probably makes Cherry unique among the rest of her specie: her fur, 'crown', collar, ear and tail feathers, and even the jewel are all soft. It is because this Sharp Claw Pokemon takes extra care of her body, saying that it could avoid having too many wrinkles when she gets old… or so she believes.
Cherry's weapon of choice was the sleeping pellets, as she figured they'd suit her job and would do well, chiefly in missions. She keeps the tiny spheres inside a medium-sized, water droplet-shaped silver locket that was given to her by her stepfather and can contain up to nine pieces; there's a button at the tip, right underneath the hole wherein the chain goes through, and when pressed, it opens the locket. She wears it around her neck, though sometimes she carries it with her mouth, particularly when she's walking or running on all fours. Yes, this certain Weavile has gotten the hang of moving using her feet AND hand-claws, which is why she's more often seen standing like any quadruped Pokemon than a bipedal one such as herself.
History: She was trained to be a Mechanist Spy. Her father, a Weavile named Razor, wished to be a Mechanist Spy himself but couldn't due to reasons that he kept to himself, so he trusted his daughter to obtain the job… and to be the first female to ever achieve a high position. Razor began to train Cherry a day after she hatched from her egg -- he forced her to immediately learn walking, running, and everything else. At first the then Sneasel couldn't stand on her two feet; therefore, she did all the moving on all fours. Her dad didn't mind, knowing -- or more appropriately, assuming -- she'd get out of the habit soon enough. She eventually managed to succeed in standing as well as moving through the natural way, yet she became so used to how she initially did, thus she ended up preferring it… but of course, in front of her dad, she had to refrain from showing her 'habit.'
For fifteen years, Cherry struggled to keep up with her father's expectations, always pushing herself just to make him proud yet at the same time deceiving him; yes her actions made her seem like she was doing her best -- which she really was -- for him, but her heart could not get in sync with the brain because it wanted to someplace else -- somewhere she could just laze around and be herself… not a robot offspring. Because Razor 'glued' her to training, nothing exciting or extraordinary happened to her life… except that one chance wherein she met a young Furret when she was bathing by the river. That was actually her first time to talk to someone other than her parents, since her dad usually scared off those that were probably in the same age as her every time they make their way towards the body of water or anywhere they go. Thankfully, her mom -- Jewel, a shiny Weavile -- is the one who watches over her whenever she'd take a bath, so Cherry didn't have to worry about getting scolded even if she talked to the Long Body Pokemon. The Furret, who introduced herself as Furlina, confessed that she had been watching her ever since she saw of glimpse of her cherry-red irises when she witnessed her birth. How Furlina coped with being a bystander for so long, Cherry couldn't comprehend, but what really got her attention was the mentioned color of a part of her eye. She never bothered to look at herself because she knew she'd just be messy again no matter how much she cleaned her body. There was another thing that kind of surprised her: Furlina was there when she hatched from her egg. She was going to ask exactly where the Furret was when it happened, and how she didn't get caught by the strict Razor; but sadly, she was given merely ten minutes of bath time, so she wasn't able to voice out her questions. The sadder part, though, is that Furlina never came back to see her. Unbeknownst to her, the Furret was sent to a mission from which she didn't survive.
A few weeks after the chance encounter with Furlina, the night prior to Razor's supposed announcement of having her daughter trained to be the Mechanist Spy, the next Pokemon that 'visited' them was one from the Council: Joshua Riley. Apparently, he knew of the male Weavile's plan (thanks to observers that told him about it) and decided to let him cancel it before he embarrasses himself and his female child. Razor tried to reason with the Breloom but ultimately failed; for the Council member, there will never be a place for women in the higher positions… no exceptions. Subsequent to Joshua's leave, the devastated Weavile pretty much lost his sanity -- he even told Cherry that he no longer had use for her, and that she should have been a boy. Then all of a sudden, the semi-deranged father tried to attack Cherry; the sole thing that saved her was her mother's quick reaction: the shiny Weavile used Attract to distract her husband. While Razor was still seeing hearts, Jewel took the opportunity to teach the move to her daughter. Maybe it was out of adrenaline rush or something else, but Cherry learned Attract just in time for her to run away from her home, from the territory of the Knights. Her mom told her to go the land of the Mechanists, whose way of living suited her better, so that's where she went. It was quite a difficult travel for her, especially since there were still some knights guarding the area, but she managed to flee successfully and safely.
The first Pokemon that Cherry met on the Mechanists' side, in Sinnoh enclave, was a male Weavile who appeared to have longer claws than normal. She actually bumped into him when she was still scampering, looking for someplace to rest; when they fell onto the ground, the Razor Claw held by the Weavile was accidentally released from the grasp of his left hand-claws. Cherry was the first to get up, and as a sign of respect as well as apology, she offered her right hand-claws to the older Weavile. As soon as he got up, she picked up the evolution-inducing item. The bigger Sharp Claw Pokemon was going to do the same, but the smaller one beat him to it.
… And then she started to transform.
While she was under the process of evolution, Cherry felt power as well as speed rushing through her veins, plus she wasn't so weary anymore. She knew she was turning into a Weavile and gladly accepted it. There was just one problem: the Razor Claw wasn't hers, yet she 'used' it. How was she supposed to make it up to the other Weavile?
Instead of seeing dagger-shooting eyes, however, Cherry was greeted with a warm smile when the white glow surrounding her disappeared. She didn't understand why a stranger would smile at her, and to think that she 'stole' his item on top of bumping into him, but her perplexed mind was enlightened almost immediately after the Pokemon of her specie told her that he was grateful for making his dream come true; his sole offspring, a female, died even before she was able to breathe for the first time. There had been birth complications, so his wife passed away, too. That night-ish day was her eighth birthday, and he was on his way to put the Razor Claw on her grave as a present. He had always wanted to witness the evolution of her daughter on the day she turned eight (he chose that number because the Razor Claw looks like a half of it), but despite knowing he'd never see her beautiful transformation, he still decided to gift it to her -- for commemoration. Thanks to Cherry, though, his wish was somehow granted… albeit she wasn't related to him. In return to the goodness that Cherry showed, the father Weavile that introduced himself as Claw, offered to let her stay in his house. She initially thought of refusing, as what she did was an accident and believed she shouldn't take so much credit, yet finally succumbed to Claw's non-stop insistence.
Cherry shared her life's story to Claw several hours later, after they had slept and all. The older Weavile believed every word that she said, including the fact that she was supposed to be the Mechanist Spy. Fortunately, he knew of the strict policies of the Knights, as he wandered there from time to time -- when he was sure he wouldn't get caught, so there wasn't a problem with him doubting her. He then suggested for her to be the Mechanists' Infiltrator; she'd be perfect for the job, since she's familiar with the places in the Knights' property and that she was trained to be a stealth expert. Cherry considered it but was worried about being easily recognized… thanks to a certain color that stands out from the rest of her specie's eyes. Claw argued that they won't be as distinguishable if she stays away from a close-enough view; he even offered to introduce her to everyone, train her some more, and teach her new moves -- those were all she needed to be convinced.
The moment Cherry agreed, Claw dragged her around the different places in the Forces' territory, letting her meet friends; some elders; and even few of the important Pokemon in the Declarum Forces. The older Weavile told them the important bits of Cherry's past, more particularly her experience as well as how she got there. Of course they were skeptical yet gave her a chance to prove herself: for the rest of the day, they will watch her train with Claw -- whom they formerly chose to be the Infiltrator; if they see that she's either as good as or better than him, then she is indeed worthy of the position. When the test registered in her mind, Cherry thought of withdrawing -- there was no way that she could be in the same level as Claw; sure she had fifteen years of practice, but not even once did she put her heart into what she was doing. Then again, if she chickened out, he would be disappointed. Without thinking thrice, she accepted the challenge.
The next thing she knew was that she was already in a wide area, facing whom she considered to be her stepfather. Their battle went on for a couple of hours, mainly because both of them kept on being stealthy and tried to do sneak attacks, but one would frequently sense where the other was coming from and therefore dodge. No one really won: the watchers called the session off and decided to give Cherry the job. There was a single catch, though: should she get caught or recognized, she's fired.
That marked the official membership of Cherry.
The succeeding four years were filled with quality time with friends, sometimes with Claw -- generally in the form of training, and other things that a normal soldier's life would have… except that hers has the thrill of being an Infiltrator; she liked how 'sneak in, gather information, and then return' sounded so simple and yet brought excitement to her. There was, however, something that has been in her mind ever since she left her home: Why did her mom wait until she was fifteen or something to tell her that being a part of the Mechanists suited her better?
Personality: Cherry was taught to be serious at all times and that there isn't any moment wherein she's allowed to have fun. She was very young when her father told her that, thus she didn't quite understand; she was a child, a kit, so shouldn't she have the freedom to play around? Being an obedient daughter who was afraid to be disapproved by her father, however, Cherry reluctantly followed his order; because of it, she never got to obtain any friend, as no one dared to go near her due to her scary paternal parent, which made her the lonely loner type. In fact, her heart grew with so much loneliness that she even forgot about her wish to have fun, laugh, and make silly jokes as well as non-offending insults with a companion. She accepted that she won't ever have the chance to know what it feels like to have someone to share stories with, lend her a shoulder when she cries, and everything else that involved friendship-related stuffs.
Well, it was what Cherry showed her father, anyway: she's nothing but a stern, independent, training-obsessed Pokemon that gave up freedom and fun. Actually, the older male Weavile was with her for practically 24/7, just to make sure she's either eating or resting when not training, so she turned quite good with her deceiving act. She honestly wasn't very happy about it, though, since she knew it was wrong; but the then Sneasel couldn't do anything about it, for her heart desired what she 'surrendered,' and there was nothing that would stop her from finding a way to attain them. Cherry did, on the other hand, learn when it was needed to be serious.
The real Cherry is a playful Pokemon that likes to fool around as if she had no problems. This is her way to relieve herself from all the stress that she gets from her dad's non-stop training talk and orders, and the only time that she's able to do it is when she's taking a bath in the water surrounding their lands. As stated above, the one who watches over her whenever she's cleaning her body is her mom, the sole Pokemon whom Cherry shows her real self to, mainly due to the mother being kind as well as considerate. In spite of having a somewhat mischievous trait, she is compassionate and would immediately cease what she's doing once she sees or feels that she's already emotionally hurting whomever she's with. No one got to know she had that characteristic until she became a part of the Mechanists.
Ever since she found friends, Cherry developed into a Weavile that's more cheerful than she already was. Sure, actual freedom was still not within their grasps, but the fact that she no longer is in the lands of the Knights made her feel satisfied. Cherry's really friendly, maybe even a bit naïve, and will not hesitate to clown around just to cheer up her buddies -- and even those she's not close to -- whenever their spirits are low. She herself isn't easy to madden or sadden, but when she is, this Pokemon typically goes to the point of going berserk or being depressed, respectively: An infuriated Cherry is known to be left alone unless a Pokemon wants to take the angry glares as well as the coldness -- they may be spared from hearing nasty words because she isn't a trash-talker or anything of the sort, yet just the silent treatment from the Weavile whom they know to be kind and childish is already scary, plus her cherry-red irises pretty much add to the frightening part… especially when she's in the dark and they see the glowing redness of wrath. A dejected Cherry is the opposite: she needs as much friends to be by her side in order for her to be happy again. She often acts dramatic when in this state, thus those who are with her need to be able to tolerate it, or else they'd end up getting irritated.
As a Weavile, she is naturally fast, agile, and athletic -- she relies on those innate skills whenever she's battling.
When it comes to missions, she puts on her serious 'mode' and finishes the job as fast as she possibly can. It's not that she's unhappy with or bored of what she does, but it's simply because she's afraid of being recognized by anyone from the Knights; she is, after all, the only Pokemon from the Sneasel and Weavile line that has cherry-red irises. Thanks to her spending fifteen years in the territory of her now-enemies (excluding her mother and father), Cherry knows the places and mostly everything else fully well, making her work a bit easier.
Moveset:
Ice Beam ~ Cherry's favorite attack because she sometimes employs it, with the use of her hand-claws, to create a frozen path for her to walk on. It's something that was taught to her by her stepfather, and it serves as a nice way for exercising her balance.
Night Slash ~ Cherry's main attack and while she's not the type of Pokemon who enjoys slashing an opponent's throat or whatever body part, she acknowledges that this move is her strongest.
Brick Break ~ Another attack that her stepfather made her learn. She isn't very fond of it, as 'karate-chopping' is not her cup of tea and she views it as something that very few females do.
Attract ~ The sole move that her mother taught her. She utilizes it when she runs out of sleeping pellets, especially when in the midst of captivity.
