The Turia Region - Science vs Industry

World:
The Turia region has only been recently discovered, but thanks to Professor Oak and the wonders of satellites, the whole region has had a basic map created.

Turia is a rough octagon, and contains eight environments: mountains, marshes, frozen pine forests, caves, endless plains, deserts, temperate forests, and a single volcano. Interestingly enough, almost every Pokemon from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh appear on Turia, making it a hotbed of scientific research. There are only two settlements that can be called 'cities' which are on the south-eastern tip, near the plains. They are the Silph Outpost and the Docklands, owned by Silph Corporation and a trainer by the name of Bruno, respectively. Recently, Silph has begun to take a more imperialist approach to the island, capturing massive amounts of Pokemon and throwing up small camps to find resources.

Plot:

The world of Pokemon is a world rife with discovery. Only recently, in fact, did the esteemed Professor Elm of Johto discover that Pokemon hatch from eggs! (Which then leads to the question of; how do these eggs get here…) However, a much more important discovery has occurred. A new region has been discovered, much to the delight of the scientific community. However, the scientists were intrigued by one mysterious fact about this new region: there are Pokemon from all continents here. The Turia region is the one and only region where one can find a Gible living side-by-side with a Bagon, or massive flocks of Taillow, Pidgey, Starly, and Spearow. This naturally prompted many different scientists to set up small research outposts to study the environment and the Pokemon inhabiting Turia, and everything was most excellent.

But relative harmony was not meant to last. Silph Co had a very unsubtle interest in Turia, and their own research base became more of a fortress, and many regional Professors began to lose contact with research assistants stationed on Turia. Many have feared that Silph is muscling in on their territory to begin doing unethical tests on Pokemon to improve their products, or worse.

Which is where you come in:

You are a Silph Corporation scientist/field worker/guard/hunter. You obviously work for Silph Corporation and are completely dedicated to the Company, regardless of your own safety. You will have access to some of the best equipment money can buy, as well as the benefits of hot chow, hot showers, and medical care. Unfortunately, everyone else on the island hates you.

You are part of a research team sent here. You are being relentlessly hunted by Silph Co.'s Pokemon Hunters and Guards. They are determined to capture you and 'extract' information on Turia, but you are obviously much smarter and more adaptable then they are, and can easily hide and thrive in most environments. The only downside to this is that you are limited by your own items or what you can scavenge.

You are a trainer/breeder/ranger. Attracted to Turia for a myriad of reasons, be it adventure, the chance to nab rare Pokemon, or to stop or aid Silph. You are easily the most versatile, and can move between the research teams and Silph (mostly) unharmed. You are a blank slate, and both sides will try to recruit you if they can. Name: Theron Kabreta
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Affiliation: Silph Company Pokemon Hunter
Appearance: Theron stands at an even six feet and weighs about 180 pounds. Even though he is a caucasian, his dark hair and light tan give him a somewhat Hispanic appearance. Though muscular, he prefers to use his intimidating appearance rather than his fists in fights. His face is unremarkable, apart from a scar that runs down his nose, which was broken in his youth and now goes slightly to the right, and his light gray eyes.

He commonly wears a ripped and faded pair of jeans with holes in the knees, work boots, and a black leather jacket with two narrow white stripes running down the arms. He has two tattoos, a large R on his left shoulder and a laurel wreath over his heart.




Personality: Theron can move between being a fairly mellow person and one of the most sadistic humans on the planet. He is, however, a very good worker and dedicated to his beliefs, most of which center around himself. Theron tends to use logic before anything else, even if it's not the best time for logical reasoning. Theron spent most of his youth making his own code of conduct, which is as follows:

• Be self-sufficient. The only person who's there for you is you
• If you suffer, make other people suffer.
• Think first, do second
• If you're stuck on a rock, there's always a hard place nearby

Background: Born in Saffron City, the home of Silph, Theron was never destined for much. Both of his parents traveled constantly, leaving young Theron alone for months at a time. It was during these frequent periods of isolation that he met the first members of Team Rocket. Theron was awestruck by how the Rockets looked out for and supported each other, and by the sense of brotherhood that they fostered within him. Always happy for new recruits, Theron was welcomed into Team Rocket on his thirteenth birthday. He started out small, acting as a distraction so that older members could steal Pokemon and items, and before long he was tagging along with them, taking whatever he wanted. He was fifteen years old when he got his first Pokemon, a Houndour, but almost as soon as he received it, Team Rocket collapsed, and Theron was alone again.

He wandered throughout Johto and Kanto, capturing Pokemon and learning the ins and outs of Pokeball construction, eventually meeting up with another former Rocket named Vicious, who taught him the rudiments of Dark Ball construction. And so he continued wandering, eventually becoming an excellent Pokemon Hunter and began to make a comfortable career out of it. And then Team Rocket returned.

While wandering in the depths of the Lake of Rage, Theron was contacted by Athena, whom he had a crush on years ago. Athena called on him to procure Pokemon 'for us'. Theron was too dim to realize that Athena was only using him and was never attracted to him at all. When Theron found out about Athena's true feelings, he simultaneously discovered how pathetic the reborn Team Rocket was. Disgusted at the Executives (most notably Apollo and Athena) and how the new Rockets were running themselves, he quit in an argument that resulted in him breaking Apollo's nose and his own heart. He began to wander again, gradually cutting off contact with humanity, becoming little more than a monster.

When he was nineteen when he wandered back into Saffron, vowing to go where his feet took him, and his feet happened to take him to Silph Co. When he entered, he was immediately frisked and told that his reputation preceded him. It was then that he found himself an offer to go to Turia to capture Pokemon for Silph, and they would pay handsomely. With no friends and no interest in his family, Theron accepted, and he was among the first people to set foot in Silph's compound.

Pokemon:

Kerberos (male Houndoom)
Crunch, Fire Blast, Payback, Overheat
Kerberos is Theron's first Pokemon, and is the only true friend Theron has, apart from himself. As such, Kerberos is incredibly loyal to Theron, and Theron returns the favor. Kerberos is also incredibly vicious, a behavior that Theron encourages.


Cairn (male Tyranitar)
Dark Pulse, Giga Impact, Earthquake, Hyper Beam.
Cairn is the powerhouse of Theron's team, and his mere appearance is often enough to make even the most stubborn give in to Theron's demands.


Vrykolakas (female Gengar)
Hypnosis, Mean Look, Nightmare, Shadow Ball
Vrykolakas is the immobilizer of Theron's team, putting large numbers of Pokemon to sleep so that Theron can capture them for profit at his leisure.


Togakure (female Hitmonlee)
Revenge, Close Combat, Focus Blast, Meditate
A speed-crazy powerhouse, Togakure keeps people and Pokemon pinned down until Theron can deal with them.


Icarus (male Fearow)
Fly, Sky Attack, Drill Peck, Toxic
Icarus is Theron's main source of transport across the world, mainly because Icaraus is free and provides an opprotunity to catch a few flying-type Pokemon.

Name: Julianne "Jule" Ashbrook

Age: 15

Gender: female

Affiliation: independent

Appearance: Julianne stands a good 5'7" in height and has a somewhat skinny build. Her hazel eyes stare out mischievously from behind the wisps of hair that refuse to stay tied back. She has short-cropped light brown hair that's just long enough to be pulled back into a short ponytail, which is how she wears it for a majority of the time. Her skin currently has a fading tan, though her skin quickly darkens as she spends more time out in the sun. Her face is heart-shaped and fits with her generally cheery expression, giving away her obvious youth. In the way of clothes, Jule likes to keep it simple and functional. She typically wears a pair of jeans and heavy-duty black boots. Jule wears a black hoodie with a bright colored T-shirt underneath. She has a simple silver bracelet that holds her PokeBalls for easy access, which was given to her by her mother when she went out to collect badges. She carries around her supplies in the old backpack that she brought along with her all over her home region when she went on her journey, and the dark blue fabric is starting to show its use, though Jule, being somewhat sentimental, decided against getting a new one as long as that one still held together.

Personality: Julianne has a rather happy disposition and is easily excited by any form of good news. But while Jule is young in years and may seem rather naive, you'd be at least halfway wrong in making that assumption. Julianne is obviously somewhat lacking in life experience on account of her young age, but she is adamant in her beliefs of what is right and wrong and is not easily influenced by what other people try to convince her is true if it doesn't line up right in her mind. Jule is extremely intelligent and quick-thinking, making her a force to be reckoned with in battle. She rarely makes the same mistake twice and is constantly learning how to grow as a Trainer. She is loyal to anyone she finds to be a friend and is rather open-hearted toward those who she finds to be trustworthy. She can sometimes be rather shy, however, and doesn't always know how to react when she is surrounded by a large group of people and would prefer to be alone with her Pokemon. While Jule is headstrong and determined, she is still just a young 15-year-old girl who sometimes simply can't take everything that's thrown at her and often is the one responsible for getting into those situations in the first place.

Background: Julianne's parents were each renowned Trainers from their own respective home-regions. After defeating the Elite Four of their region, they had been called to the Sinnoh region by a prominent Professor along with several other famous Trainers. They each agreed to go to his laboratory in order to record their events into a collaborative database for future reference. Their interest in one another became apparent from the moment they met and they were eventually married, deciding to settle down in that region for lack of a better compromise, where they started a small Pokemon ranch and natural remedies shop. And so, Julianne was born and raised in a small town in the Sinnoh region, exposed to many different aspects of caring for Pokemon from a very young age. When she turned 10 and was allowed to start on her Pokemon journey, well-prepared for the obstacles that would be set in her way, her parents gave her a Gible that had been given to them in exchange for one of the Pokemon on their ranch. So Jule set out on her journey, very much following in her parents' footsteps and completing her own collection of badges and defeating the Pokemon League. By the time she was 15, Julianne was a household name in her region and wanted to set off to see other regions, hoping to learn more about the Pokemon that lived there. When Jule heard about the Turia region, she naturally jumped on the idea to go to a place where all Pokemon dwelled instead of having to go to several different ones. Julianne selected two of her own Pokemon to take with her, knowing that the rest were either impractical or not too fond of traveling. Her parents gave her one of their own Pokemon each, knowing that chances were she would need the most experienced Pokemon possible to take with her. And so, Jule set out on another journey, not realizing that there was a hidden struggle occurring in the region that would turn out to be much more than she had bargained for.

Garchomp (female)
Sandstorm, Fire Fang, Dig, Dragon Rush
Garchomp is Jule's first Pokemon and as such tries to act as the leader of the team. She is fast and nimble and finds ways to use the enemy's short fallings against him. She doesn't take too well to losing, however, and will do whatever it takes to win.

Staraptor (male)
Fly, Whirlwind, Close Combat, Aerial Ace
Staraptor was Jule's first catch and has since developed a close bond with her. He is typically used a lot for transportation, though is a useful asset in battle and is good at getting in a few good hits before the enemy knows what hit him.

Gardevoir (female)
Teleport, Healing Wish, Magical Leaf, Hypnosis
Gardevoir was the prized Pokemon of Jule's mother. She is incredibly useful in a pinch, as her moves are easily used to aid the team and also escape. She is cunning and quick thinking and can find a way out of nearly any situation.

Gengar (male)
Curse, Shadow Punch, Dark Pulse, Destiny Bond
Gengar was the Pokemon chosen by Jule's father to accompany her on her journey on account of his ruthless nature toward his opponent. He will battle it out to the end no matter what, dragging down his opponent with him even at his loss as a last resort.

Name: Olivander "Oli" Lyken

Age: 19

Appearance: Oli is 6'1'' and weighs a surprising 175, more than what his skinny built shows. Muscle is his main source of his weight and has come from his years of traveling and training. He has Icy-blue eyes that sometimes seem to stare into a person but are usually calm and cheerful looking. As intimidating as he looks, his smile usually throws people off. His shoulder blade-length, messy, brown hair is something he loves about his look. He always wears a black hoodie, which is his favorite article of clothing, and blue skinny-jeans. His pokeballs are held on a necklace around his neck, mainly to keep from getting stolen, which his a big concern for Oli.

Personality: Oli is a very friendly person, once you get under his tough, menacing persona. He comes off naturally intimidating, mainly because of his rough past. Not one to trust others easily, its a good sign when his friendly personality comes out. He hates snobbish, cocky, and rich people, mainly from his dislike of his early childhood. Oli loves to be outside and he prefers to be alone becuase he sees others as being in his way. Deep down he would like the company but again his rough past seems to interfere for that longing. He is pretty elusive and pratical and comes up with amazing strategies in pokemon battles and in tough situations. Also a bit persuasive, he is good at pulling out as much information as he needs. The one thing you can always see from Oli is his caring ways for his Pokemon. That is a trait he has had since he began his journey.

Background: Originally from the city of Celdon, in Kanto, he lived there for the first ten years of his life with his father and step-mother. They lived the rich life and Oli hated it. He was so much like his mother, who lived in Johto. Due to his hatred towards his father, he began showing signs of rebellion which led to the growing of his hair and tough-guy persona. Once he was old enough to travel, he made the move to his mothers, and left his rich "life" behind him. After a year of living with his mother, a happy fun-filled year, his journey finally began. His mom gave him his first Pokemon, a happy-go-lucky Cubone. It always reminded him of his mother which kept him in a cheerful mood throughout the beginning of his journey. He set out, like all trainers, to collect badges and met a boy his age in Cherrygrove City. His name was Kyle and they traveled together through the first few cities and Oli was happy. One night on there way to Goldenrod however, he woke awoke one morning to find Kyle gone and the Pokeball that held his prized Cubone stolen. In a rage he ran to find the theif but had no luck. This led to a non-trusting of everyone as he continued his journey, broken. He, with his team, took an oath to find Kyle and his missing Cubone. After completing the Johto league, he heard of suspicious dealings in a new region caled Turia and this was his next path. He was going to do anything to get his beloved Cubone back. He was out for revenge.

Pokemon: Noctowl (male)
Fly, Hypnosis, Zen Headbutt, Dream Eater
Noctowl is the first Pokemon Oli caught and they have a tight bond. He is ready for combat at all times and will do anything to protect and help his trainer. The day they lost Cubone, Noctowl vowed to find him. Noctowl has an the exact personality of Oli and is usually out of his Pokemon in full seek, search, and destory mode. He will never leave his trainer behind.

Zap (male Ampharos)
Thunderpunch, Cotton Spore, Discharge, Signal Beam
Zap is Oli's main powerhouse, used in mainly of his gym battles. Is a very clutch Pokemon and has his trainer's full trust. He has a very quiet nature and always seems to be thinking when not in battle. Probably the most observant of the team, he sometimes over-analyzes his opponent and is caught off guard. After regaining composure however, Zap will be ready to finish the fight victorious.

Zen (male Mantine)
Psybeam, Aqua Ring, Water Pulse, Confuse Ray
Zen, as his name hints, is a very calm Pokemon, and has just as good strategy as his trainer. Never overreacts and is really never fazed by anything, even though most intimidating of Pokemon. Sometimes considered lazy because he tends to hover around, can snap into battle mode and out very quickly. Prefers to battle when he is at a disadvantage to prove his worth.

Shadow (female Sableye)
Fake Out, Faint Attack, Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball
Shadow lives to the true nature of Sableye and is Oli's sneak attack Pokemon. Very elusive and sly, can sneak into buildings and get information and key supplies for her trainer. Loves to battle and uses her small body to her advantage, dodging and weaving through attacks with no trouble. She does tend to get a bit lazy from time to time and enjoys naps.


Additional Information: Will do anything to get his Cubone or maybe Marowak back which is Oli's main objective as he travels this newly developed region.

Affiliation: Independent

Appearance: Mike is a not very tall guy, as he is 6'3 . However, to compensate, he weighs 185, all muscle. He works on the gym every night to keep it that way. He's caucasian. He has dark, short, curly hair. His eyes are light-green. He likes to wear a leather jacket and some jeans. He keeps his pokeballs on the belt his mom offered him on his birthday. Girls love him by his appearance, so he's a popular guy out there, though he's not very vain. Sometimes he wears a hat. His favourite hat. If you take his hat, he'll kill you. It was a present from his dead grandfather, so its very special for him. Overall, just don't mess with this guy hat. Also, sometimes, he wears sun-glasses.

Personality: Mike is a funny guy. When he's with his friends, he's the clown of the group, with his jokes and all. He likes to do everything in the moment so he doesn't have to care about it later. He's shy with new people too. What he wants the most is having his family happy. Now to the girls.. Hmm, the girls.. He had one, two ,three.. Twenty Seven Girlfriends! (and some of them at the same time, hehe). Mike loves pokemon. And pokemon like him too (well, some of them). What he likes the most is having his pokemons with him, and start a new journey with them. His objective is to get stronger, and stronger, and even stronger than that.

Background: Mike had a fun life. He grew up on a barn in Pallet. When his dad arrived from Cinnabar on a research they went to live in Veridian. Useless to say that Mike wanted to return to the Barn life on Pallet. In Veridian, he went to Professor Albert to receive a pokemon. He then catched other two pokemons. He just got the oportunity to return to Pallet at age 16, and that's where his adventure will begin.

Chimchar / Rocky (male)

His friend of heart, Chimchar understands all that Mike says. Mike doesn't want Chimchar to evolve.

Eevee got Mike out of allot of troubles. Its very special to him too.

Name: Izaak "Iz" Young
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Affiliation: Independant

Appearance: Izaak is fairly short, his dark brown hair lays barely past the ridge of his ears. Which is more than likely covered by his favorite hat. His bangs lay to the right of his face, occasionally falling into his eyes. Which happen to be the brightest blue you might ever see. His nose is pointed but lean, and his mouth rounded. Along his left cheek there is a small scar that few know how and, why it came to be. He wears a red, black, and white flannel with a white shirt underneath. He wears almost an endless amount of bracelets day to day, with each having a different story behind them. His pants are all black, somewhat tight on him but baggy at the same time. He wears his belt pointlessly, putting it through only one hoop and letting it hang to be seen by all. His worn out all black and white checkered slip on shoes, in which he refuses to throw away despite most peoples comments to do so.

Personality: Izaak, comes off as a quiet one at first, but once he gets to know and trust someone, he could speak for hours. He has an undying love for all pokemon, which leads to his constant strive of getting stronger and stronger. His morals lead him to being nice to almost everyone he meets, and keep him from doing things that could ruin his life. He is a firm believer that somewhere in the world there can be peace but after countless times being dissapointed, he sometimes find his struggle to be endless and tiring. He never leaves his back turned to the sun on a good day, is his motto, and his constant creativity leads to him being the brilliant artist he is. He helps everyone he can due to him being constantly hurt in the past, whether they accept his help or not, he will be there for anyone and everyone.

Background: Izaak was born in the Kanto region, in the outskirts of Viridian City, until one day his parents left him and his brother alone to fend for themselves, Izaak was about 8 at this time as his brother being older, left him with most of the responsibility. They moved to the Port town of Olivine City and continued to live. His brother taught him everything to know about pokemon, and helped him catch his first pokemon, which at the time was a Scyther, who is now his trusty Scizor. One day while relaxing at the pokecenter, he saw a news report about the Turia Region, it fascinated him so he continued to do research on the area. The information he read bewildered him, he ultimately decided he had to explore the region, he disliked what he had read about Silph Co. So maybe he could be the one to stop it? Not likely, but he had hope there would be more people who shared this dream with him.

EDIT: Ok, here's my SU, sorry about the formatting.
Hi! Before you read this please note: I made quite a few assumptions regarding your game as I created this character. The most important aspect of this character is that he is a natural bad*ss and simply not a child. When RPing, this guy swears a lot (I will l**t the curses of course) and generally can be quite mature. I also assumed guns are allowed in your game. Some RPs allow guns and weapons, I hope this is also one. I'm not intending on killing ANYONE in this RP, it's just sort of part of my character. So I hope I can keep this character as he is, but if their is anything you don't like, don't hesitate to tell me and I'll change it! (Would be a shame though, this guy's pretty cool)

Name: Connor L. (Quirk: never tells anyone his last name)

Appearance: The first word describing Connor would most probably be 'masculine'. He is a huge 6'3" with sharp features and long, muscular arms and legs. He keeps his thick, brown hair long and wild. He is outside a lot, leading to his good looking tan and athletic body. He has kind brown eyes and a good voice, which he tends to abuse to yell exceptionaly loud.


He's always in Punk-Rock style: Ripped jeans, black leather jacket and a black T-Shirt. He also wears heavy boots.


Personality: Connor thinks he's great. Alone that the last sentence didn't say 'knows he's great' shows he didn't write this. It is noteworthy however that many people share this view of him: He is smart, handsom and expert in any sticky situation. His willpower is unmatched, he often tends to overwhelm obstacles through his sheer determination. Outwardsly, he is funny, sociall and loud. He makes jokes all the time, even in highly inopertune times and his lifestyle alltogether is very carefree and relaxed. Most don't immediately notice the true extend of Connor's inteligents. He is a natural master in social engineering and loves making people like him against their will. (Hard to explain, but you'll see) He is also naturally gifted in science. Whenever Connor gets some new gadget or toy, he plays with it for one or two hours, picks it up again and says to himself 'I wonder how this thing works...'. This is mostly followed by him taking it apat and putting it back together (or atleast try).


Connor loves Pokemon and Pokemon love him. Period. No one really knows why but he gets along splenditely with all but the most hostile of Pokemon. He has learned a lot from Pokemon and gets along in the woods pretty well. One of the few things that can cool his hot head is a tranquile nature scene. (Another trait most fail to notice early on)


If Connor has one personality flaw it's his anger. When Connor gets mad and your either the one he's mad at or your smaller then him, run. Making Connor mad is a tremendous feat in itself. He curses a lot and can punch someone for something stupid and then just chill again, it's almost impossible for him to get really mad. Only in the most extreme circumstances, when he is annoyed because of dozens of smaller things and then something huge smacks him, he snaps. This mostly ends in a path of destruction and a sad Connor, mad at himself for losing control.


A last notable point in his complex personality is his will to fight. He doesn't let anyone screw with him and is the first to defend his point. He is an experienced barfighter, being in uncountable fistfights before. He resorts to low levels of violence pretty quick, though never seriously harming anyone. Not that he couldn't, he would if he had to. He is also an accomplished marksman, being tought to handle a gun already in young years. He has an impressive amount of knowledge related to explosives and improvised weaponry, relating to his slightly paranoid nature.


Background: Connor hails from a far away region, not noted on all but the most rare maps, covered in a collossal forest inhabitet by many Pokemon. He was born in a small village in said forest, living a life in harmony with nature. He often dissapeared into the forest for days on time to live with the Pokemon. After many good years, wanderlust drive him into the big city. Their, after a few weeks he doesn't like to talk about, a notable scientist noticed him and took him in as his student. The next years, he built himself a good life. He had many many friends and learned a lot from his mentor. Everything from Biology and Chemistry to Quantum Physics and politics. He also learned a lot about Pokemon and their life. The most notable events of those years were him gaining science grade education, learning to drive his motorcycle and winning the national marksmen competition.


But, all things go to an end. Connor was once again striken by wanderlust and craved to see nature again. That is when on his birthday, Connor's mentor offered him a ticket to a new continent, brimming with Pokemon and untamed nature. Connor leaped at the chance and after only three days he was gone. Now, in an unexplored country, full of secrets and new experinces, Connor stands defiant, with a pack with some meager equipment and his Pokemon by his side, ready to conquer this new chapter.


Pokemon:
He mostly fights a simple, aggresive fighting style.

Fiera - Female Salamance
Moves – Dragon Claw, Brick Break, Crunch, Flamethrower
Fiera was Connor's first Pokemon and lifelong companion. She is huge for her species, almost the size of a small house and has fierce silver and red markings all over her body. She is very protective and would do anything for Connor. This can become a problem though, since she can easily become hostile to people she doesn't trust.

(The) Terminator - Genderless Metagross
Moves – Hammer Arm, Magnet Rise, Meteor Mash, Psychic
Terminator, named after one of Connor's favourite movies, was Connor's second Pokemon, caught as a Beldum. Terminator is a very logicall, no-nonsense type, although he is very loyal to Connor and tolerates his humor, mostly.

Psycho – Male Alakazam
Moves - Psychic, Energy Ball, Fire Punch, Toxic
Psycho is best compared to Connor's silent advisor. He is calm and wise, though he is quite relentless in combat, relating to his nickname.

Tank - Male Blastoise
Moves - Surf, Ice Beam, Earthquake, Toxic
Tank was caught by Connor back in his homeland near a pond (the starters have to come from SOMEWHERE). Tank is very thick headed and hard to controll, but Connor manages it mostly.

Inferno - Female Typhlosion
Moves - Flamethrower, Shadow Claw, Thunderpunch, Eruption
Also caught back in his homeland, one can only say that her nickname truly fits. Or one could say she has a "fiery personality".

Appearance: Ricky is an average height, about 6 ft. He has deep blue eyes, and medium length brown hair, he keeps tied back with a black bandanna with a green pattern on it, which has somewhat become his trademark look. He has a thin build, but often works out to look his best. Because of his training, he has become quite athletic, and strong. He wears a pair of dark jeans, and a black t shirt, or anything else he can find a throw on quickly in the mornings, other than the bandanna he isn't too concerned what he wears. Ricky wears a pair of rimless glasses or contact lenses, usually going for the lenses.

Personality: Ricky is a very loving person, who will care for anyone who needs it, always choosing to help other people rather than himself. He doesn't ever ask for anything in return for helping people, which has helped him become good friends with many people. During his time at the daycare (See Below) he learnt a lot, which has helped him with many things in life, and in pokemon, including how to make life better for them. In everything he does he is a very happy person, it takes a lot to anger him, although one major thing that does is seeing pokemon be mistreated and hurt by their trainers. He is rather outgoing, but knows when to stop and listen to others.

Background: Ricky was born west of Mauville City, near to the Pokemon Daycare which his Grandparents own. Ever since he was old enough he dreamed of becoming a great trainer and breeder, starting his journey with his Mudkip from Prof. Birch when he was 10. After travelling, around different regions, collecting badges, competing in Frontiers, Ricky decided to end that all when his Grandmother died, and Grandfather became seriously ill, and was unable to run the daycare. His father didn't want to take the work as he was working on becoming a coordinater, and his mother was busy working, so Ricky was given the chance to take it over. He was being taught by his Grandfather, who became well enough to walk but not look after the Daycare, teaching him everything he knew. He was also given his grandfather's Ambipom, who had previously helped his Grandparents with the running of the daycare for years. After several years the daycare was even more successful than ever, taking care of and breeding many pokemon, all thanks to Ricky's hard work, with a little help with his younger brother. A few years later, Ricky has decided to give his little brother the chance to run the daycare, leaving Ambipom with him for help, while Ricky goes off on another adventure.

Pokemon:Female Salamance (Draca)- After finding a wounded Bagon in Stark Mountain, Ricky healed it and cared for it until it was well. It decided to come with Ricky, and has been a loyal friend ever since. During his time as a trainer Ricky used Bagon, and eventually Shellgon, and then Salamance is many gym and frontier battles as his main battler. It's known moves are Fire Fang, Dragon Claw, Earthquake and Fly. Since Ricky became a breeder, Draca has produced many eggs with a Gyarados, which have then been given away.

Male Snorlax (Dev)- Snorlax was found as a baby Munchlax in the Sevi Islands. It has a Jolly nature. It's known moves are Rest, Earthquake, Belly Drum and Fire Punch. It is much darker colour blue, and slightly larger than most Snorlax.

Female Swampert (Storm)- Storm was Ricky's first pokemon, given to him by Prof. Birch when Ricky was still in Hoenn. She is extremely powerfully as she has been with Ricky for so long, and is his most loved pokemon. It's two head "Fins" are much larger than on regular Swampert. her known moves are Hammer Arm, Ice Punch, Earthquake, and Hydro Cannon. Her Nature is Playful

Male Venusaur (Forest)- Forest was given to Ricky as an egg by a Bulbasaur Breeder he knows in Hoenn. He is very relaxed, as he has always been since hatching, being the peace maker. His known moves are Solarbeam, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb and Light Screen.

Female Yanmega (Sonic)- Was also caught in the Sevi Islands, as a Yamma. It has proven to be a capable battler, but also very shy and hesitant. She prefers not to battle, but be cared for well Ricky, which he does. She Knows Bug Buzz, Silver Wind, Air Slash and Screech.

Female Medicham (Jump)- Jump was given to Ricky as a Meditite egg in exchange for a Bagon Egg, as Ricky had always wanted a Medichamp. It has a naughty nature, being the trickster of Ricky's team, always playing tricks on the others. Despite being part Fighting type, it prefers to use mainly Psychic type attacks, despite having a powerful Hi Jump Kick. It's moves are Hi Jump Kick, Detect, Hidden Power and Psychic.

Female Gliscor (Night), was caught as a Gligar in Kanto.
Male Cyndaquil (Blaze) Hatched from an egg
Male Bagon (Claw) One of Draca's babies.

Name: Aaron Elsington

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Affiliation: Researchers

Appearance: A fairly tall man, Aaron stands at 6'2". Despite his height, Aaron is more wiry than stocky, and because so, was treated as a misfit in school. He has wavy, dark brown hair that usually gets in his eyes, which would suggest it being long, but it's not quite long enough to reach the middle of his neck. He has understanding hazel eyes; however they are deep-set, and so give off a melancholy look, which, truth be told, is how Aaron's whole face looks. He has a farmer's tan oftentimes if he's out in the sun, but if he hasn't been in a while, you can see how pale he really is. He usually wears a simple T-shirt and jeans, but will wear a button up if anything fancy happens.

Personality: Aaron has set up a shell of sorrow from long years of strife, grief, and hardship (We'll get into that later). But behind it all, he's a mannerly, loveable person who would do anything to make you smile. If you can manage to get more than ten words from him in a conversation, consider yourself lucky, as he rarely talks, if at all…well, that is, if you aren't close to him, which most people aren't. He's very philosophical, and likes to spend his time thinking while he whittles away at some wood he keeps with him (Did I mention he enjoys doing that?).

Background: As was hinted towards, Aaron has led a rough life. Not long after he was born, his father disappeared, apparently not wanting a child. His mother died shortly after of a bone cancer, not able to pay for treatment. At this time, Aaron was only two years old and had already led a life of sadness. He was then shuffled from boarding school to boarding school, paid for by a mysterious uncle whom Aaron had never met. At the age of seven poor Aaron's life was changed when an equally mysterious man adopted him. Aaron was soon to find out that his new guardian was his uncle (surprise, surprise). His uncle was kind to him, unlike the greedy school-masters Aaron was used to. For a while, Aaron lived in contentment, until disaster once again struck his already broken life. His uncle, being a great political leader, was assassinated (Let's not delve into that story; this is about Aaron, not his uncle). Aaron was only twelve at the time. Being his uncle's only heir, Aaron gained his uncle's fortune, however, would not be able to use most of it until he turned eighteen. With his time with his uncle, Aaron came into contact with exotic Pokémon, not native to his home region of Kanto. He had, of course, been introduced to Pokémon beforehand, but didn't think much about them until the end of his uncle's life. He was inspired to use what money he had to begin a Pokémon journey. After countless battles, Aaron decided it was time to stop training and start studying. At this point, he decided a life of research was most desirable. It was at this point in life that Aaron heard about the new region of Turia. Excited at the thought of seeing Pokémon from every region in one, he set off immediately.

Concordia (Female Rhyhdon)
Like her trainer, Concordia is quiet and mannerly. She would love nothing more than to sit next to Aaron, and is very attached. This is most likely because she was Aaron's starter all those years ago. Concordia has a chip in her horn from a battle with an electrode that liked to end with a bang.

Novitas (Male Tangrowth)

Novitas is an odd sort (as the name suggests), and pops out when Aaron least expects it. Of course, this is because Novitas is a Pokémon who prefers to be out of his pokéball. He is very claustrophobic, which is odd considering that he's surrounded by vines all the time. He also likes to dance around joyfully. Novitas has one autumn red vine among the rest that he tries (unsuccessfully) to hide.

Power Whip, Brick Break, Toxic, Sludge Bomb



Metuo (Female Spiritomb)

Many consider Aaron lucky to have found a Pokémon like Metuo, however Aaron considers it a stroke of misjudgment and, well, horrible luck. He named his Spiritomb the latin root for malice because of, well, it's malice towards him. He rarely uses Metuo because of this, however keeps her for "backup". Metuo has an odd teal color to her gas instead of the usual purple.

Shadow Ball, Hypnosis, Dark Pulse, Psychic



Velox (Male Ninjask)

Velox is, of course, speedy. His favorite pastime is to zoom around his trainer with great agility. It's surprisingly short tempered, and quick to get revenge from the last move to hit it. While at first he was hard to control, Aaron eventually showed Velox who was boss, and taught him to listen to his command. Velox's wings have blue tips instead of orange.

X-Scissor, Sunny Day, Agility, Solarbeam

Additional Information: Aaron prefers Maple wood over all else. Aaron keeps a Shedinja in storage, as well as other Pokémon not on his team.

Name: Katrina "Kat" R. Waltren

Age: 20 but she sometimes says she's 21...

Gender: Female

Affiliation: Silph CO. (preferabley a pokemon hunter... that sounds fun!)

Appearance: Being at a height of around 5'10", no one can call Katrina short. Although she hasn't weighed herself in a great length of time, it is safe to assume that Kat is of normal weight, if not a tiny bit on the chubby side. Her features have a more box-like anatomy than normal, giving her the sturdy appearance that people with her personality are given as a stereotype. Katrina's body is well developed in the feminine way, but not to any kind of extreme, so in this category she can be labled as normal. With ghastly pale skin and her dark blue eyes, some people think of Katrina as intimidating or creepy looking, but she seems to think of herself as 'amazingly beautiful.' Dark grey curls hang down on her face while the rest of Kat's hair remains perfectly straight until the tips which are curved outward. A normal wardrobe for Katrina is a pair of dark bluejeans. In addition a pale blue shirt and a half length jacket that is a medium-light shade of violet. On the latter is a silver rhinestone pokeball (on the left side, her left). A preferable earring for Katrina would be something large, round, circular, and silver colored- for some reason she extremely dislikes the color gold or anything of the sort.

Personality: Katrina is a 'tough as nails' type of person. She does't shirk work, she stays on track, no matter the cost, and she trains her pokemon with an iron fist. When faced with any kind of challenge, Katrina will prevail or die trying (so to speak). Even when she was a young girl, 'Kat' would seem a tiny bit on the strict and well-disciplined side, however, this was much harder to see then. Behind her rock hard person is a kind and merciful side that Kat reveals when someone close to her is in danger. At times Katrina can be overprotective and go to extremes to keep her loved ones safe. But she also has an annoying and pranking alter ego. In fact, Katrina practically lives by the statement 'you can't be mean to [insert person she is fond of here], only I'm allowed to do that!' With this final layer of her personality comes the tendency to be sarcastic and joking a lot of the time.

Background: Having been born in one of the coldest inhabited places in the known world of pokemon, maybe Katrina's lightly colored sking isn't so unusual. Snowpoint City proved to be a fine place to grow up- there was a temple to explore, a big dock where she could watch the ships, an awesome gym leader to admire, and every Christmas was white. It was here that Katrina met her first pokemon, although she didn't know at that time that he was to be her first. The pokemon was a meditite, male, and of a personality uncannily similar to her own. However, at first it seemed that fate wanted to pull the two apart, because before Katrina caught meditite, her father got a well-paying job offer in Jubilife city and the family was forced to move.

Katrina hated Jubilfe, period. The other children there (for she was still young- around seven at the time) were snobby and mean, as well as most of the older kids who would constantly brag about their fancy pokemon and poketches. When Katrina's parents realized how unhappy she was, they decided to take on a long vacation back up to Snowpoint city. It was there the second time that Katrina finally caught meditite (with the help of her old friend Candice) and called him Renegade, or Renny for short. After that trip, Katrina dedcided to spitefully abandon her home and travel the Sinnoh region as a- somewhat young -trainer.

On her training journey's, Katrina caught many pokemon of varying power and rarity, but only her favorites were kept with her for very long. Kat traveled for a long time throughout her home region doing many gym battles and on rare occasions entering contests when she happened to be in the right city at the right time. At one point she even was able to beat her friend Candice and win the Icicle badge. Once Katrina had obtained all of the Sinnoh badges, she challenged the Sinnoh league, and promptly failed. Angered by her loss, Katrina decided to train in the Kanto region which was where she first came in contact with Silph Co.

It had been a long time since she had left her home region of Sinnoh, but finally Katrina had found herself in Saffron City. Sabrina was a huge challenge, but to the regret of the little-experienced-with-Sinnoh gym leader Sabrina underestimated the dark power of Katrina's skuntank (which a surprising few think is a pure-poison type (including myself for the better part of my platinum game...)) and lost. After her victory, Katrina made her final decision to join Silph Co. and immediately wanted to go to the intriguing Turia region, and it is here that the roleplay begins.
