It really doesn't feel this long ago, but two and a half years ago my friend Gymnotide posted this thread. I've been meaning to re-post it for months but just never quite got there, so tonight is as good a night as any. For those of you who are too young to know this, OVP stands for Other Voting Polls, the old name of this section. Here is a link to the original thread for those of you who are old enough to have posted here last time. You can see how your answers have changed!

Arrange the following parameters into three groups: support, oppose, and impartial. Don't write anything for each thing, but provide some quick notes at the end if necessary. A copy & paste will be located below.
I am being as restrictive as possible by giving you only three categories to fill. There are no "sometimes," "yes, but...," or "only if." Just answer.
To keep this OVP-material, please minimize the discussion; discussion belongs in OC. Don't go about writing explanatory paragraphs. After all, this is a poll--to be blunt, I'm interested in collecting data, not your opinions.
Some notes, though--
Abortion
Alcohol
Animal Experimentation
Animal Rights
Censorship
Cloning
Corporal Punishment
The Death Penalty
Euthanasia

- Religion; this is not about whether or not you are religious. Answer whether you believe religion is a positive institution, or you dislike it (you are leaning toward antireligion [read more on Wikipedia]). If you do not care about it or you are secular (keep religion and other things separate), then answer impartial.
- Spirituality (irreligious only); a spirituality is a belief in forces that supersede human control, but are also deeply involved in human affairs. In other words, a religion is a spirituality that has evolved into mass-practice, whereas a spirituality alone is just the practice. You can be religious and irreligiously spiritual at the same time, such as if you perform certain personal, spiritual rituals outside of your normal faith.
- Intelligent Design; do you support the idea that a sentient being (not necessarily a god) created the universe as we know it?
____________________
- Homosexuality; do you believe that homosexuality is morally / biologically / etc. correct?
- Gay Rights; do you believe that homosexual individuals deserve equal rights (e.g. the right to marry and adopt, job equality, etc.)?
- Polygamy
- Censorship
- Pornography; is pornography a positive institution (economically morally, etc.)?
- Prostitution; is prostitution a positive institution (economically, morally, etc.)? Should prostitution be legalized?
- Gambling; how do you feel about people who gamble? Should gambling institutions exist?
____________________
- Standardized Testing; is standardized testing necessary? Is there too much emphasis on standardized testing?
- Institutionalized Education; is education a positive institution? I.e., are schools necessary when there is home-schooling? Does the school-to-college system work? Or is it too technical / restrictive?
- Abortion
- Euthanasia
- The Death Penalty
- Gun Control
- Corporal Punishment

- Evolutionary Theory; "Evolutionary Theory (ET)" differs from "evolution." It is strictly the concept that involves selection processes, methods of evolution, etc. It's answers how evolution occurs, not whether or not it does.
- Cloning
- Genetic Engineering
- Stem Cell Research
- Animal Experimentation
- Animal Rights; how do you react to hunting, fur trade, factory farming, overfishing, animal property, etc.?
- Vegetarianism / Veganism; do you believe that becoming a vegetarian or vegan is beneficial to an individual (not necessarily yourself; whether morally, health-related, or otherwise)?

- Marijuana Use
- Marijuana Legalization
- Tobacco Use
- Tobacco Illegalization
