I wonder if our Rival would also gget such a form for their starter, it probably won't be rare in the games at all.
It's a must.

Except for Primals that is, no bond is connected to those.
Ash-Greninja seems like more than just a very close personal bond. It seems a lot like a cross between normal Mega Evolution and a kind of psychic link, as Ash can feel Greninja's pain when he's injured. Since Mega Evolution in general is powered by friendship and condensed life force... Perhaps it's Ash serving as the Mega Stone in this case, powering Greninja with his own life force. It would explain why Greninja looks like Ash when transformed, and why Ash gets hurt when he does.if thats the case, what was with that "once in a 1000 years" crap and why dose it evolve into an ash hybrid? also if an extremely strong bond is all thats needed ash's charizard should have mega evolved a long time ago and diancie must have been really freaking lonely, despite having all thosemenservantscarbinks around.
doesn't really explain how that mewtwo could mega evolve & shift back at will either, giving how it hates humans.
also, just because allan says its mega evolution dose not make it a mega evolution. he probably would have called primal reversion mega evolution if it hadn't been explained to him prior that it was not.
an educated guess is not a conformation, not matter how much the one who made the guess believes it to be so, it dose not make it so.

I know; in that specific comparison, I was talking about Ash-Greninja and regular Mega-Evolution(but realistically, all you need is just a Mega and Key Stone for the regular Megas).
I know, I was just pointing out that out of all the Mega types we've seen Primal seems to be the most detached, bond wise.

the ash-greninja in picross dose not have the mega evolution symbol on it nor dose it require a mega pencil.- Ash's Charizard is hello from the Gen I era. There wasn't any form variants at that time, let alone Mega Evolution. Don't forget its species' Mega Evolution is triggered by Mega Stones. So far in games, the only Mega Pokemon who doesn't require a MS is Rayquaza, the Pokemon who m-evolves with the move Dragon Ascent.
i never said "she" was an alternate form of carbink. though its pretty obvious her mother was a carbink.- As for Diancie, she was a mutate, not an alternative form of Carbink...
- Mewtwo Megas are a major plot hole that I have noticed since playing XY. One can only explain it in a cheap chessy way: We melted Mewtwo's heart or we have special powers that connects us with the savage Mewtwo.
going by actual game canon, mewtwo was not created. As for Mewtwo... I just chalk it up to fan catering. He shouldn't have any Mega Evolutions at all considering he's a recently created Pokemon and the last time any new Mega Stones were made was around a thousand years ago, long before he was spliced into existence. He got two of them because he's a fan favorite, regardless of whether or not it makes any logical sense.

Well I suppose that's plausible. Altering a Pokemon and splicing new DNA in is as simple as just digitally altering its code when it's in the PC system, at least going on how creating Pokemon hybrids work in Gen I. Still seems a bit of a stretch that two Mega Stones that react with a genetically altered Mew exist, but eh it's not the series biggest plot hole.going by actual game canon, mewtwo was not created.

another thing to consider is the fact that mega stones are just a bunch of rocks that where randomly energized by xerneas or yveltal or fall from the sky. the only explanation as to why any of them work at all is that their energy can only sync with that of a pokemon with similar energy. i'm betting that just like theres a lot of pokemon who can't mega evolve, theres a lot of mega stones lying around that cannot induce mega evolution because there are no pokemon who can sync with them
I ran across a theory elsewhere a couple days ago, and it was kind of interesting. They had suggested that the CoroCoro reveal might turn out to be a new Gen 6 Legendary native to the hypothetical Southern Kalos, that would act as a Trio Master to Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde. The way they had described it, it would be how Arceus turned out to be the Trio Master to Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina.
I haven't quite figured out how that would work, but it had interested me because that would be an unexpected surprise on Game Freak's behalf; dish out all of this Zygarde hype, only to turn around and reveal a brand-new Pokemon as the "true" star to "Z", yet still considered to be a Gen 6 Pokemon. Here's the thing though; the reason they brought this up is that the English title for the first XY&Z anime has been changed from "The Explosive Birth of Z" to "From A to Z".
I think that Zygarde is the trio master much like Rayquaza. Plus the English titles usually don't mean much, and likely it's a reference to AZ or a pun on the Alphabet xD.
I'll be honest, it's GF, they aren't the best at making sense.if thats the case, what was with that "once in a 1000 years" crap and why dose it evolve into an ash hybrid? also if an extremely strong bond is all thats needed ash's charizard should have mega evolved a long time ago and diancie must have been really freaking lonely, despite having all thosemenservantscarbinks around.

Well, there's also the reality that after the death of Iwata-san, Directs didn't happen for a while as they needed to figure out what to do with them. It basically took fan revolt to get the most recent Direct, which isn't even that recent at this point.
I think Serebii said that Pokemon Z maybe just an amine but Corocoro has not leaked the release date so that people can enjoy other pokemon games.
That's because Blue core already has half of the Zygarde cells collected. Remember the description of Complete Zygarde? It says that it takes on that forme when it gathers all the surrounding cells (I assume in a region, oddly this might imply that there are more Zygarde...). 50% is when half are collected. Currently Red core is collecting them. That's what I thought too, so I was confused about what they were trying to get at. I'm thinking it's more of a pun, since we haven't seen or heard of anything related to the Kalos War in the anime.
I'm pretty confident that Zygarde is meant to be the Trio Master, but I have also felt like there's something... missing(other than a game announcement lol). The spacing between the percentages in the Formes of Zygarde have never really made sense to me... like why is Dog-Garde at 10%, then we get a huge jump to 50%? It's also strange that while Squishy transformed into 10%, the Blue Core can skip that and go straight to 50%. If you add those numbers together, you only get up to 60%. I'm feeling that more Zygarde Formes and/or different colored Cores may be on the way, but I don't know.
EDIT: The official site talks about there being a huge celebration worldwide on Pokemon Day with events and parties, but yet they're insinuating there's much more to come. It says to keep checking back as the day grows closer. I'm hyped.

Btw is it just me, or does Flare in the anime might try to return the world into wilderness?
That could be. When playing Pokemon X, that's what initially came to my mind when they carried out their plan in-game. When you wipe out everybody(people and Pokemon) except for Team Flare, all that's left is just that; wilderness.
Spoiler:I have a feeling that them misusing the Cells that way without Cores present could disrupt the ecosystem. Those red trees are giving me chills.
I just thought of something too. I wonder if they may announce the game a few days after the Super Bowl commercial... which ironically would be within the same week that CoroCoro would leak online. I'm saying this because I think once the commercial airs, that will grab a lot of people that haven't played Pokemon in awhile, and may be interested in it again. Then BOOM-SHAKALAKA... they make a worldwide announcement with the Super Bowl commercial hype still fresh in their minds.

Possibly, especially since we might get a Direct next week.
which is why i have to wonder why half the people on this thread & its predecessor are so quick to try & guess when game freak is going to release the next gameI'll be honest, it's GF, they aren't the best at making sense.
bio-electromagnetic synchronization with the stones makes more since then that. either way, when mega stones get created theres always a legendary pokemon involved. given that most of the stones in kalos where created by xerneas/yveltal's energy affecting the landscape and the ones in hoenn where created by rayquaza blasting a meteor, it stands to reason that certain legendary pokemon's attacks can alter certain types of rocks into mega stones.Mewtwo's mega stone could in theory be created as the mr. fuji theory suggests. anyway, mewtwo is basically the staple mascot legend, so he gets special treatment.
thats a very stupid & pointless change. not sure what idiot is making the decisions on the dubs titles these days(not even 4kids was this bad) but he or she should be dealt with swiftly & without mercyI ran across a theory elsewhere a couple days ago, and it was kind of interesting. Is it even fair to call it a hype train for the commercial? It's more like the commercial started a hype train for what is to come. They hype train for the super bowl commercial has already started - it already has over 15 million views on youtube, which is insane. It looks like that 5 million was well worth investing. And it means that this month would be the best time to announce a new game.
