I finally beat the Delta Episode today.
After saving the Devon scientist from the Aqua Grunts, I went to Mossdeep Space Center and watched as Matt brought the Aqua Grunt quintuplets with him. I followed them inside and the quintuplets confronted me in yet another trainer horde battle. It was a good thing I planned on battling with Kyogre next because all five of their Mightyena had Intimidate. Even though one of the quintuplets claimed that I cheated, she never took in account spread moves and special moves (Origin Pulse fulfills both criteria). After going upstairs, I watched Matt suffer a villainous breakdown, as he was frustrated that Archie's dream was never realized. I managed to snap some sense back into him with Steven.
After the battle, Zinnia came in and swiped Matt's Key Stone, then crushed the dimensional transporter that Cozmo and Steven were working on with her fist. I did understand that the meteor could doom another dimension, but that was just the wrong way to do things. Zinnia then left for the Aqua Hideout, with me in hot pursuit. After battling some more grunts, I found Zinnia in Archie's room and witnessed her steal the boss' Key Stone. She beckoned me to come to the Sky Pillar, while Archie and Shelly encouraged me to go after her. Steven contacted me and advised me to go to Sootopolis and meet with Wallace, so I did. After that, I went to the Sky Pillar and rematched Wallace in order for him to open the way to the Sky Pillar. It was interesting to note that Wallace used his Emerald team in that battle.
After entering the Pillar, Zinnia greeted me and told me the story of how Rayquaza quelled the battle between Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon. She told the story in segments as I made my way to the top. It's a good thing I didn't need the Acro Bike here, but the fact that some of the floors looked unsafe concerned me. Upon reaching the top, Zinnia told me about her childhood and how she lost Aster (not the Whismur standing next to her, mind you); after that, she apparently knocked me out and I had no idea why. She even owned up and apologized for the trouble she caused.
Then Zinnia got ready to summon Rayquaza and it worked. To her dismay, it wasn't able to Mega Evolve. The Meteorite in my bag glowed, and Rayquaza ate it; this gave it the energy needed for it to Mega Evolve. Zinnia asked me to challenge it, since I was the one it chose, not her. After around a dozen or so soft-resets, I managed to get a Naive Rayquaza with decent IVs. Zinnia taught it Dragon Ascent and challenged me to another battle to prove me worthy. I was tempted to use Rayquaza alone to sweep Zinnia, but I changed things up and used my other Pokemon. After defeating Zinnia, I suited up and flew up into space on Rayquaza. Rayquaza Mega Evolved and destroyed the meteor by flying straight into it.
Upon the meteor's destruction, a familiar triangle emerged and it did a similar pattern. Tentacles emerged and Deoxys was awakened. I didn't want to catch it because I didn't want to have to go through the entire process again if the Deoxys turned out not to have good IVs/nature. After barely enduring a Psycho Boost, Rayquaza KOed Deoxys with Dragon Ascent, ending the episode.
After returning to Earth, the Mossdeep scientists rejoiced, Zinnia left on her own journey, Steven considered giving up his Champion position and May and I enjoyed the Litleonids.
The end.
Or is it? After the Delta Episode, I picked up my Unova starter from Prof. Birch (Oshawott), explored the S.S. Tidal and looked around the Battle Resort. I didn't want to do anything there yet because there were some legendaries I had to catch. So far, I've caught Lugia (man, it was pretty hard to catch because I only had 20 turns to do so; it Struggled itself to death on my first attempt; luckily, a good-IVed one turned up on the third). Right now, I'm working on the Regis.
