Beat Erika, Misty, and Sabrina. This is gonna be really fast. But Red wont be. I may need a lot of grinding.
Okay, beat Blaine, Janine, Brock, and Blue, but my pokemon are sorely underleveled. G-g-g-grinding time!

Vs bugsy!
bugsy first sent out his scyther and U turned away to his Metapod, Lola used defence curl! Lola kept on defending herself from Metapod's tackles! She then scratched it to death! bugsy then sent out his Scyther again then it U-turned to his Kakuna, Lola shoot posion stings at it but it didn't to much damage to it...Lola then scrated it till it died! bugsy then sentout his scyther again! I swtiched out Lola before it could attack her and sent out Lucy to take the U turn! Lucy then rolled into it for revenge! Getting me the Hive badge!

Vs Whitly
Whitly sent out her silly fairy and I sent out Lennie, Lennie kicked the fariy twice but the stupid fairy made Lennie feel in love! NOOO!!!! Lennie was in love and had a chance of not kicking his lover, but he did and Lennie fail out of love yay! Then came the cow of nightmares! The cow that many a boy ragequit over! The cow stomped on Lennie wanting to kill him! He lived! Lennie kicked the cow twice trying to burst her udders but failed sadly! Lennie was switched for Totoslave then the cow started the dreaded rollout combo of doom! 2 hits killed the slave. then Lucy was sent out and took the cow's attacklike a pro, the cow's roll missed and Lucy took it down with take down and frail getting me the Plain badge!

I've started to realise that I need to speed up a little if I'm going to complete the Ultimate Bug Mono-type before Christmas (I take my time), so I'm going to speed up a little!

Ultimate Bug Mono-type #2 – Firefight

I headed north, up the bridge, battling trainer upon trainer, until I reached the top. At this, a Rocket Grunt stood at the top. Deca got into battle position, ready to strike at the first sign of danger, but none came. Instead, he asked if I wanted to join Team Rocket! I declined, and he said that I 'needed persuading'. Deca showed his Pokémon that I'd rather go down fighting rather than join Team Rocket, but he ran crying far before that happened. After heading east, and battling even more trainers, I came across a lone house. The door was wide open, but no-one inside.

"Hey'a!"

I wasn't entirely sure where the voice came from, as no people were in the building.

"Can I get some help here?"

I turned to the voice, to see a talking Clefairy… Wait, talking Clefairy!? It turns out, that it was actually Bill, who had been turned into a Pokémon. He stepped inside some kind of machine, and waited for me to press the button in the outside. I did, and the machine turned this Clefairy back into Bill, the famous Pokébox creator. As thanks, he gave me a ticket to ride the S.S. Anne, a famous cruise liner at Vermillion Port.

I headed out, and down to Celadon Gym. It would be a good idea to face it now rather than later.

Roland vs. Misty

Phiona (Paras) vs. Staryu

​

This really wasn't much of a challenge. A StunSpore worked well enough to weaken the Staryu, and then a repetition of BulletSeed managed to take out the Water-type without Phiona taking too much damage herself.

Phiona (Paras) vs. Starmie

This battle went much the same. StunSpore, BulletSeed, and then the occasional Super-effective LeechLife in order to heal every-so-often, and soon enough, I had won with little trouble.​

Result - Win​

I grabbed the Cascade badge, and darted down to Vermillion, with little happening, other than fighting someone else with a Butterfree, which was interesting. Vermillion had some interesting features; the main one being the S.S. Anne, which I quickly boarded, and took a room. Many of the trainers on-board were looking for a fight, which I accepted, and trained.

I had heard the Captain was giving away the CutHM, but I had one last challenger. Ike.

Roland vs. Ike

Deca (Beedrill) vs. Pidgeotto

​

It seems that Deca doesn't have a lot of luck when it comes to fighting Ike. He managed to weaken the Pidgeotto to just over half health with a FuryAttack, but was then beaten by a barrage of Gust and Sand-Attack. Not a pleasant way to go…

Scarlet (Butterfree) vs. Pidgeotto

She ended this quickly, with a SleepPowder, and then Confusion.

Scarlet (Butterfree) vs. Raticate

​

Due to Scarlet being roughly seven levels higher, this really wasn't a difficult challenge. Although Raticate's use of QuickAttack bugged me, a Confusion or two managed to bring down that crazy Rat-Pokemon.

Phiona (Paras) vs. Wartortle

​

I bet you've guessed what I tried this time in order to beat his Water-type? Yep, StunSpore, and then BulletSeed until the foe has faltered. This worked just as well as I had hoped, and it slammed through the Wartortle's defences, and levelled Phiona up enough to level 24, which meant that she would evolve after the battle.

Scarlet (Butterfree) vs. Kadabra

This was a little more frustrating than I had first hoped. Confusion did little to no damage, and Tackle wasn't much more effective. Although I did do some drastic stalling with SleepPowder, and that allowed Scarlet to reel off enough Tackles to bring that darn Psychic-type to the ground.

Result – Win​

Just as I had guessed, Phiona did evolve into a Parasect. I headed up to the captains deck, after beating Ike to the dust. All that was there was a sea-sick old man, but he seemed to cheer up a little after seeing a new face. He apologised for not being in a great condition, and gave me the CutHM, which cheered me up too.

I soon left the S.S. Anne, and within minutes of leaving, the boat set off. I did some tough training, readying myself for the next gym, which specialised in Electric-types. I used the CutHM to smash through the tree blocking the entrance, and fought some of the apprentices at the gym in order to get a feel for fighting electric-types. It was only a matter of time, before the Gym Leader and I were fighting head-to-head.

Roland vs. Lt. Surge

Deca (Beedrill) vs. Voltorb

​

Voltorb was fast, much faster than Deca, which is a success in itself. Deca managed to use TwinNeedle to poison the Voltorb, and then reel off FuryAttack. While the Electric-type tried to fend off the foe with Screech, and Shockwave, it could not beat the sheer power of Deca's FocusEnergy, FuryAttack combination.

Phiona (Parasect) vs. Pikachu

This battle wasn't difficult, but it was the single most frustrating battle I have ever been in. Phiona started with Dig, hoping that it would strike out Pikachu without it being able to fight back. Pikachu used DoubleTeam, twice, causing Dig to miss. I tried Dig once more, which was led by the same result, again, and again, and again. Seriously, it lasted for an eternity, and seemed like it would never end. By a stroke of luck, Dig struck, knocking out Pikachu.

Deca (Beedrill) vs. Raichu

​

I thought that this would be a similar situation, but TwinNeedle struck quickly, poisoning the Raichu. This continued, with TwinNeedle slamming into ShockWave, neither side gaining an edge, other than the continuous poison which sapped Raichu's health, giving Deca enough time to make a final FuryAttack, winning the match.

Result – Win​

So here I am. Outside the Gym, and planning to head back to Cerulean, and go west, travelling through Dark Cave and arriving at Lavender Town.

Vs Morty

Morty sent out a floating ball of gas, I sent out Lennie, Lennie had a new toy of the name of thunder, Lennie's thunder killed it in one shot! Morty then send out a floating head with to handsm it stabed itself with a sword to wound Lennie, Lennie then used Thunder to kill it, Lennie was hurt by the sword... Morty then sent out a ghost! Slave was sent out to heal Lennie, it died, Lennie used thunder as it look at Lennie meanly making him scared! Lennie paralyzed it!! The ghost then killed Lenie with two blobs of dark energy. Lola was sent out to kill the ghost! She tried the rollout combo but was put to sleep, the ghost kept on ambushing her with punches! Lola woke up and rolled into it 2 times killing it! Morty then sent out his last head with hands with stabed itself with a sword again and Lola rolled into it!
-Got the fog badge!

Pikachu
Taken down after several of Inomuu's Earthquakes and Red spamming full restores.

Espeon
A few Iron Tails from Nyuura did the job here.

Snorlax
2 Dynamicpunches from Nyuura, with Snorlax luckily hitting himself twice.

Venusaur
Inomuu used Blizzard, and then was killed by Solarbeam. Laplace finished the job with an Ice Beam

Charizard
Went down after 2 Surfs from Laplace

Blastoise
Would have been the hardest, but it was red's last pokemon, so I just used Perish Song, then Laplace got trapped by whirlpool, so it was a mutual defeat. Only Nyuura was left alive. Also, all three pokemon had equal participation.

I wasn't expecting to easily beat red with only 3 lv 56 pokemon. And I only used 2 full restores, and no revives! Yeah, I'm good.

Sure I used way too many items again, but my highest level going in to the E4 was 49, now Hammer's lv51, Aaron has higher levels than that...

MVP: Probably Hammer, early on he was pretty damn useless, but he really came through during the Elite Four, even though every one of them had something that could hit one of his 4X weaknesses.

LVP: Lucky, I'm sure if I had actually done the pre-E4 grinding I was meaning to he would've been able to hit something...unfortunately as I'm a lazy git he was just a defensively weak speedbump.


Next time! Back to Isshu.

Chuckie sent out an angry pig monkey and I sent out Lucy, it made copies of itself to make it harder to hit but Lucy charged into to it note quite knocking it out... It was healed and Lucy tried again but she hit the copies! it tried to use a powerful punch but Lucy lckly charged into it before it could attack! It then made several landslides making Lucy flinch and lknocked her out... Lennie then took over and jabbed his horn into the monkey. Chuckie then sent out a tadpole thing and Lennie used thunder making it weak but it ate a berry healing it, it then slamed it's body into Lennie but Lennie used thunder again knocking it out.
-Got the strom badge!

-Flew back to Olivine and gave Jasmine the sercetpotion

Jasmine sent out a eye with mini magnets, Lennie justed kicked it to death! Jasmine then sent out s metal snake! Lennie was switched for Lola who used sand tom whihc only done a small amount of damage... Lola then rolled into a ball and rolled into the snake 5 times casuing it to eat it's berry, Lola was then knicked out by it's hard tail, Lucy was sent out next to take this metal foe also rolling into it 5 times then charging into to it NEARLY making it faint! She then frailed about but didn't knock it out... She was knocked out by it's hard tail also... Lennie was sent ouyt and jabed the snake with his horn making it faint! Jasmine sent out her last magnet eye and Lennie kicked it to death earning us our 6th badge!

Right now I'm playing a regular Mono Flying on Soul Silver as a part of my PUAP challenge. Not that far yet, so updates will follow later.

Oh, and I still haven't finished that Sinnoh part of my Dragon UMC? Daaaamn. I'll have to do that at some point.

You wanna know how long the Silence Bridge and such is? It took almost twice as long to clear the route from Lavendar to Fushia than it did to slaughter two gyms and a psuedo-gym. At least everyone's starting to look BEASTLY, as if they weren't already.

After clearing this route, the mainland of Kanto is looking pretty boring. Now what? I know! Surf south from Pallet to Cinibar! Along the way, I beat up all the swimmers and fishers camped out along the route. I have now arrived in Cinibar. After reviving my fossils and placing the Pokemon into the PC, I turn my attention to tackling the Pokemon Mansion. This is where I left off.

Somewhere, a couple of days ago.

With Sabrina out of the way, it was time to head to Cinnabar Island, and kick Blaine's ass. The way was pretty much uneventful.
On Cinnabar, we destroyed everything in the Mansion, and got to Blaine's Gym. We answered every riddle correctly, but battled the trainers nonetheless. Experience is Experience.

The fight was the easiest so far, with HentaiDude OHKOing everything but the Arcanine, who was 2HKO'd.

Giovanni's Gym didn't pose much of a problem either, this time with Atlan's Razor Leaf cutting our way through his Pokémon's defenses, except the Nidos, that were obliterated by HentaiDude's Surf.

Time for the Pokémon League! Oh, noez! Derp wants to fight!

After that, we went Legendary Bird Hunting, OHKOing every one of them (Rock Sliding Articuno and Moltres, and Ice Beaming Zapdos). Victory Road was a breeze. I don't know how I remembered the way through, seeing that I haven't played these games since I was like... 10.

Therion missed a Rock Slide, giving Jyxn the edge she needed to OHKO with a critical Psychic.

Kali KOd with a well placed Double Kick.

Kali started with a Thunderbolt, not managing to defeat the Lapras, who counter attacked with a Blizzard, leaving Kali fainted.
HentaiDude took over, and Wrapped Lapras into oblivion. (Wrap was sooooooooo hax in gen1 xD)

* Kali vs. Gyarados!
Kali started with an Ice Beam (Yay for choosing the wrong attack), Gyarados retaliated by missing a Hyper Beam. Kali then KOd with Thunderbolt.
* Kali vs. Dragonair!
Kali managed to launch an Ice Beam, before being hit by a Hyper Beam straight to the face. Used the recharge turn to use a Max Potion, and switched to Mind Fart predicting another Hyper Beam (since I ran out of Ice Beam PP, I went to the Victory Road to finish raising Kali to level 50, and forgot to heal).
Turns out the attack was a Thunder Wave, which I used to Ether Kali's Ice Beam. Mind Fart didn't seem to care much, since he blasted a Psychic to that Dragonair's face the next turn, KOing it.
* Mind Fart vs. Dragonair!
Dragonair started with a Thunder Wave, but I was already paralyzed. Mind Fart put it so sleep with Hypnosis, and I took the chance to switch again to Kali, who 2HKO'd it with Ice Beam.
* Kali vs. Aerodactyl!
OHKO with Ice Beam. Nothing to see here.
* Kali vs. Dragonite!
Kali used Ice Beam, taking a chunk of Dragonite's health. Then, she received a Blizzard to the face, being knocked out.
Mind Fart took over, but I used the first turn to use a Full Heal. Dragonite, then, wasted that Hyper Beaming. I used the recharge turn to give Kali a Revive, and then decided to Explode, just because, taking out Dragonite.

I healed up, Ether-ed, Elixir-ed, and all that jazz.

Thoughts:

I was really disappointed by the Elite Four. I remembered them to be a LOT tougher, specially Lance. Still, I had a lot of fun remembering the old, good times.

MVP. I must say, that the happy couple (Therion and Kali) were the pillars of the team. Without them, many battles would have been a lot tougher.
LVP. I can't find anyone fitting this category. Every one of the team pulled it's weight when it was necessary, and I must say I'm quite happy with their performance.

Soul Silver - Mono Flying

Started with Totodile (future slave), got a Pidgey (I wanted Spearow, but none spawned on R46 for quite a while, so I changed my mind) and soloed everything until after Falkner with it.
After obtaining the badge, I caught a Hoppip and a Magikarp, saved and got distracted by a very interesting Civ4 level as Washington were a small but extremely militaristic Incan and his big, backwards Japanese friend caused me quite some trouble but in the end I prevailed by rolling the Incan over with hordes and hordes of Riflemen mercenaries and outteching Japan so much that he was no longer a threat. Oh wait, I'm going off-topic again.
