This is how it looks when
I am standing on the edge
And this is how I break apart
when I finally hit the ground
And this is how it hurts when I
pretend I don't feel any pain
And this is how I disappear
when I throw myself away!
I seriously end up listening to this song solely for the above portion of it.
I have yet to see the musical performed, but I have a feeling I'd be let down if I did see a production of it since it most likely wouldn't feature Colm Wilkinson, and I'm sorta a sucker for his voice.
Don't come on quietly when you draw near
Don't go on lightly, don't leave me here
I wither quickly in winter's cold
But carry onward, like I was told
And I wait for a sign...
Like blood in the tears of all my enemies
(So they will see)
Knowing the pain the way they should
Blood in the tears of all my enemies
(Given to me)
Leaving a trail to where you stood
This is one of the first of their songs that I ever heard. It's so calm...I didn't expect the rest of their music to be as heavy as it is.
"Fire It Up
Let the engines roll
It's time to burn it down
Keep bleeding on 'til the day you die
Forever, love it loud,
Hellfire, doom
Watch the hatred spin
Beyond the speed of sound
Fire it up
Let the engines roll
It's time to burn it down"
Okay have to admit his voice really does sound like John Lennon's and this song is like The Beatle's psychedelic days combined with Pink Floyd , but the song is song infectious.
Breaking Benjamin - Until the End
I live to die another day
Until I fade away!
Why give up? Why give in?
It's not enough, it never is
So I will go on until the end
We've become desolate
It's not enough, it never is
But I will go on until the end!
I had forgotten about this song for a while, then stumbled upon it on my browser history.
