Continuing on with the train of "good dogs" posts, my own dog made me so happy today. She's gone from a anxious dog who's afraid of everything to a dog that's a little more confident. Able to handle a lot of sudden disruptions to her life. Like today, another dog lunged at her, and she didn't hide or run away. She knew that I'd take care of her so she wouldn't have to worry.

My mother came back from her appointment with a specialist at the hospital today, and was told that everything looks fine, no further degeneration. That's the kind of news I want to hear. :)

The kids at work liked the keyrings I had made for them.....and some wanted me to play pokemon with them 😂. So I decided to be Venusaur and just sat there 😆

Eating a little soft, nice and fluffy, moist bit of lemon pound cake that my aunt brought me from the farmer's market, and listening to my mother tell stories about her childhood about cake.

She said she walked to the library a lot as a little girl to read, and would on the way visit an aunt who lived nearby. She said her aunt Flora would bake her fresh, homemade pound cake whenever she saw her, and my mom swears it tasted something like this one. It was a sweet moment.
