Wonder Trade Challenge

[Raikou]

Welcome to the Wonder Trade Challenge!
This challenge makes use of the unpredictable Wonder Trade feature in Pokemon X and Y. You'll never know what you'll get!

So, in this challenge after you receive your starter pokemon, go catch five more in the first patch of grass you walk into. After you've got your six pokemon, you must use the Wonder Trade and trade all six of them. Whatever the six new pokemon from the Wonder Trade are the pokemon that you must start your journey with.

There are a couple more rules for this challenge;

- E A S Y -
- You may only catch one additional pokemon per route. The caught pokemon must be wonder traded for a new pokemon.
- All pokemon you receive must be wonder traded. You do not have to accept the gifted pokemon if you don't want to.
- Mega stones may be used for pokemon obtained through the wonder trade.
- You may catch ONE HM slave if needed. You may NOT battle with this pokemon.
- Trading to evolve a pokemon obtained through wonder trade is permitted.
- You may catch and keep legendary and/or shiny pokemon if you wish but these pokemon are not to be used in the challenge.
- Challenge ends when you've battled AZ at the end of the credits.

- Once a pokemon faints, you must wonder trade it for a new one.
- Absolutely no using pokemon centers (unless you're using the pokemart or PC).
- If all of your pokemon faint, the challenge ends.
- You must wonder trade one pokemon after each gym battle.
- Trading for evolution is NOT permitted.

Easy Mode

I've done the easy mode for this. I was so sad when chikorita fainted early but all my members served me well. It was so much fun.

My final team: Dragonite, Wobbuffet, Electravire, Gengar, Pidgeot and Meowstick.
Fallen members: Pikachu, Chikorita, Talonflame, many bunnelbys and flethlings, Umbreon, Teddiursa, and Torchic.

I forgot to mention that I was using Commander as my name on Y. Sorry.

So far, I've got three badges and my team consists of
- Charmeleon, lv 22
- Mudkip, lv 20
- Meowth, lv 20
- Ludicolo, lv 63
- Lairon, lv 41
- Armaldo, lv 58

So far, so good. I've only had two pokemon faint, they were Charmander and Flabebe. I wound up getting two Charmanders in my initial six trades.

Such temptation. The diversity and challenge upgrade compared to the regular playthrough is something... Mmm... Not to mention I've been listening to Wonderlocke videos too much. So after I clear out my game from pokemon, I'll start up this here.
Because I'll need something to do while sitting on lectures at uni. :D Campus wide wi-fi mmm...​

Of course! You don't have to use every rule if you don't want to and you can add whatever rules you like.

Whoop! That's nice. I'll list the extras of mine then.

1. Only 5 healing items per battle.
2. No Megas unless opposing trainer uses them. (Basically leaves just the Tower, one Lysandre fight, Champion.)
3. No Exp.Share on until Victory Road.
4. Level limit is the next Gym Leader's Highest level pokemon.

I think that's all that I had thought of. It'll be a moment before I can get my game cleaned up but I wanted to take this opportunity to sign-up. I'll hope to start within 2½ weeks when Uni starts. I have some pokemon that are my friends' and I can't really bank them up and have a Challenge going on.​

Changes:
*trading for evolution is allowed
*one use of pokemon centers per city (so can only heal once in lumiose)
*if I wondertrade and I get a dupe of a mon in my current party, I have the option to retrade
*I won't catch extra mons after my original 5 caught unless I need an hm user, or if I get a shiny.

First Update:

-Started the game, did all that super fun pregame stuff
-Picked a Chespin for my starter cuz wynaut
-Caught five pokemon (2 bunnelby, one pidgey and 2 fletchlings)
-And my first team was...

Snorlax (lvl 1) | Charmander (lvl 1) | Nincada (lvl 12) | Cubone (lvl 20) | Foongus (lvl 1) | Gible (lvl 1)

-After a lot of fun grinding I finally got my level ones up to level 12 and took on the gym.
-After beating Viola using just Snorlax (amnesia op), I wondertraded Foongus... and got a Budew instead
-Charmander evolved
-I'm currently in Camphrier with heals in Camphrier and Lumiose still. I may change the heal rule to a heal after every gym but idk.

First update!

-Started up the game and named myself Big Sexy! jkjk I named myself Chase, and went with Big C as my nickname.

-Chose Froakie as my starter and named it Tom so someone somewhere in this world has a nooby frog c:

-Caught my 5 pokemon and traded them away with Froakie and got: Fennekin, Smeargle, Swirlix, Dratini, Mawile, and Pidgey.

-Beat Viola and traded away Smeargle for Burmy(yay...)

-Now on route 5 doing some training!

I'm making an amendment to my rules
*can now heal using a pokemon center once after a gym battle - and no other times

-Did all of the silly Parfum Palace stuff
-Almost lost someone to the stupid furfrou trainers
-Made my way down route 7, and nincada evolved into ninjask and shedinja (I used my heal in Camphrier and then boxed budew so I could achieve the evolution, this was before I decided on the rule change)
-Did the Glittering Cave stuff and snagged a cool sail fossil I'll never revive
-Now I'm makin' my way downtown, walkin fast faces pass and I'm homebound DUNNUHNUHNUHNUHNUHNUHNUHNUH along route 8

- Also I forgot to mention I received a charmander from professor sycamore so I could get the Charizardite X

Also changing to one heal after each gym!

-Did the palace events as well as defeating Snorlax for some sweet HP!
-Lost Pidgeotto on the way though, but got a Honedge in return!
-Did the Glittering Cave events and made my way to Cyllage.
-Went ahead and did some training, but lost Dratini to a Aerial Ace crit by a Hawlucha :(
-Wonder traded her away and got a Meditite named Sweet Feet!

-Arrived in Cyllage
-Wanted to train up on route 10 a bit before taking on the gym because my pokemon were kinda behind in levels
-Gible finally evolved into Gabite
-Charmeleon unfortunately died :'(
-Wondertraded and got a level one Deino!
-Went to take on the gym, and unfortunately Amaura one shotted my poor Budew
-Wondertraded Budew and the mandatory one after the gym (which was Deino)
-Got a yucky Plusle... and an adamant Beldum!
-Cubone evolved into Marowak!
-Managed to make it through that stupid cave with the wobbufetts without losing anyone, and Beldum evolved into Metang
-Beat Serena and won the mega ring
-Metang solo'd Korrina with Zen Headbutt like a boss
-Wondertraded Plusle and got a Ledyba XD

yay update time!

-Did a lot of training on Route 10 to get everyone up to speed!
-Went back and faced off against Grant who was pretty easy to beat with my team!
-After winning, I wondertraded my Burmy away and got another Pidgey(yay)
-Trained up Pidgey some and evolved him into a Pidgeotto!
-Made it safely through the cave and proceeded on to the next town.
-Beat Korrina easily and won myself a sexy mega ring!
-Braixen and Honedge both evolved since my last update!
-Wondertraded Swirlix away and got myself a Charmander!

-After beating Korrinna again, I took Lucario because I felt bad and boxed it
-Headed on to Coumarine and took down Ramos with Ninjask and Metang
-Traded Ledyba and got the best pokeon ever... a level 8 Pichu
-Went onto Route 13 and began to fight Team Flare...
-And for some reason I thought Ninjask could kill a Houndoom before she died herself... nope
-Also apparently some random person could wondertrade me a Nincada with Cut, but I can't wondertrade a ninjask with Cut T_T
-Wondertraded a replacement for Ninjask and got a level 30 Sawsbuck
-Unfortunately Sawsbuck died to a Croagunk who had revenge.. I didn't think it would do that much
-Wondertraded Croagunk and got a level 36 Frogadier (my first Kalos pokemon)
-Beat up Team Flare/evolved Frogadier
-Beat Clemont but almost lost Gabite to Magneton's Flash Cannon
-Wondertraded Pichu and got a level 6 Riolu
-I decided to level up Riolu and pretty soon had a Lucario with the Mega Stone from the other Lucario

Been a while since my last update!

-Did some training on route 12(used the Lapras as an HM Slave, but later boxed her)
-Pidgeotto died sadly, but I got a Bidoof which is now a Bibarel so my HM issues are fixed!
-Beat Ramos and wondertraded my Charmander for an Eevee that is completely useless.
-Did the Team Flare stuff with no deaths.
-Beat Clemont and traded Eevee for Gothorita!(level 50 too!)

Ok now I bring the update September 23rd started
Traded 6 pokemon over wonder trade and received
Chespin level 4
Fennekin level 2
Ralts level 5
Froakie level 1
Eevee level 8
Togepi level 3
so far ive gotten past the first gym leader and traded away 1 pokemon like it said so I traded togepi and got litleo level 21
Ive been grinding for a while and im at lumiose city now and this is what my team looks like:
Quillading Level 19
Froakie Level 13
Litleo level 26
Eevee level 18
Ralts level 9
Fennekin level 13
Ill bring more probably tommarrow tonight im working on this

Update time aww yeah baby

-Did some training after beating Clemont to help even out my levels.
-Evolved Gothorita into Gothitelle!
-Beat the Laverre gym pretty easily with Mawile and Delphox leading the way!
-Traded Bibarel for a Gurdurr which evolved into Conkeldurr!
-Did the Pokeball factory events
-Continued on to route 15 where Doublade met his demise RIP.
-Traded him for a Tentacool(yay....)
-Evolved Tentacool into Tentacruel, but don't plan to use him much.
-Delphox died in frost cavern by accident to Throh because I thought it could 1hKO.
-Traded her away for a Ledyba :(((
-Finishing up Frost Cavern as of now!
