It has been thousands of years since the Shadow Pokemon Incidents in Orre.

Or maybe millions. I was never really all that good at dates. The point is, it was a long time ago.

Two legendary heroes were said to have fought valiantly to recapture the hearts of these possessed creatures. Though each had their own separate journey in a separate time, both were revered just as much. It was because of their actions that the region of Orre once became the great center of culture it was. With all of the villainous rifraff cleared, other thugs soon followed suit. People gathered, Pokemon gathered, and the days of having to import Pokemon from other regions soon became a thing of the past. The land even became able to support various beautiful flora and fauna that it could not before through mass irrigation projects. This continued until there was only but a single patch of desert left.

In their history, they called these the Glory Days. Not very original, I know, right? It's not like it matters. Because these days weren't to last. As what seems to happen frequently in the history of us humans, they got cocky. Really damn cocky. Because they could change the landscape of a whole region nearly, what was to stop them from going to other regions and doing the same? They started off small, offering aid to their nearby sister region of Unova to clear out all of their deserts. When Unova politely refused, the knuckleheads in charge of Orre decided they'd do it anyway. They marched into the Desert Resort and cleared it all up within a matter of days. They was nothing left there but grass, trees, and beautiful fields of flowers. What's so bad about that?

I'll tell you what! That single event began all of the events that set our current time in motion.

All of the desert-dwelling Pokemon fled, unable to deal with the sudden change of climate. And soon, with nowhere else to go, many perished.

Unova and its officials were rightfully outraged, requesting recompensation. Orre simply ignored them and moved on to other regions, taking it upon themselves to clean up all those ugly deserts. Soon, the desert Pokemon became so rare that it appeared as if they had vanished. Every single desert off the face of the planet was removed... or so they thought.

The other regions were outraged and war broke out. But with the technological power that Orre had acquired over the course of the years, we soon came to rename it the Orre Massacre. Bloodbaths silenced all resistance. Even with the combined efforts of the rest of the world, little could be done. They had passively allowed Orre to grow into the superpower of the entire world.

I am in the process of creating a new roleplay. It's not done, obviously.

❝the leader with a serene soul and an impure mind
Welcome, welcome! I certainly hope you enjoyed viewing the cherry blossoms on your way here; they're what make this place really beautiful! Anyway, I suppose you're here to battle, correct? Well, before I take you to the stadium (Why would we battle here? I don't want to ruin the view!), I must ask that you humor me for a brief moment. What would I like you to do? It's a simple request, really: Show me a picture--either a photo or artwork--of a scenic place, real or fantastical. When you have done so, then we may battle. I sure hope you're ready, as my Water Pokémon, though mostly graceful and tranquil, are a force to be reckoned with!

How many TVs do you guys have in your house? What are their sizes and brands? How long have you had them? Also, if you're on cable, who's your provider?
