The entire wheel roulette theme of this colosseum is completely annoying. The worst part, I got beaten by my own damn Pokemon, while using the computer player's crappy Pokemon! Is there any trick to this wheel of doom? The chances of getting my Pokemon is impossible >_>

There are two ways to make this easier.
The first is to develop your own sense of timing. I believe I pointed the cursor at the 9 o'clock (left-most) spot and waited until just a little bit before the Pokemon I wanted was at the 3 o'clock (right-most) spot. This gave me a 90% chance of getting what I wanted (human error and all that), and helped me with both the Neon and Survival Colosseums.
The second, if you lack good timing, is just to fill your team with weaklings. Maybe use a rental pass. I don't really like the thought of doing that, though.

I packed my team full of Magikarps and just got all of their Pokemon while they got all of mine. xD That's one of the easy ways to do it.
