    Last one Expired and the other was crazy and got closed. This thread is in no relation to the EotWrld thread as this will be a proper discussion on the Events and Myths on December 21, 2012.

    On that date, the Mayan Calendar ends, which to many depicts the end of the world. However, there are others who beleive that it will be a new era for Mankind as well as people who belive it will go as any other day. Scientists beleive this to only be the date when the sun aligns with the Galaxy's Center, there have been debates wether the Mayans knew this or not. Their calendar still ends on that date by the result of their determined Cycle that lasts about 26,000 years. The debate still burns on that date. All
    because of some dumb Spanish burning most of the Mayan scripts and books. So what will this day hold for us? Will the world really end? Your opinion matters and the debate still goes on.

    I, for beleif, think that it will be a supernatural advancement to the Human Race. An additional 6th sense, or power for understanding and advancment in emotions.
     
    I reckon it is all a bunch of bull, seriously people have made thousands of dates when the world will "end" by the sun or some other miraculous event! 2012 is also the year the Olympics start and if people thought the world would end why would they plan something ahead of time when everyone things the world will end in that year?
     
    Ah, not true, however there is an enormous black hole (almost a foot) in the center of the galaxy so...

    So, what does that prove? That may have been there for hundreds of years, why would it suck us up on an exact date set years before the actual year itself?
     
    I don't know if this is true or not but from what I hear 2012 is the year they start trying to make the internet like digital cable and stuff where you pay for your mainstream media sites and have to pay extra in order to browse freely among the internet (since internet is the most free thing on this planet today of course gov needs to control it). This could mean the end of the internet.

    Any who back to the issue, I don't believe in the meteor theory, but am skeptical about the nuclear strike theory off the table on a particular date in 2012. Everyone knows how dates work (9/11 NYC - 8/8/8 Georgia attacked Russians & Georgian citizens same day the Olympics started blah blah blah)

    Either one I'm still on the fence I don't think the world will end in 2012.
     
    Good point about 911 though. That could be a spark in something. But the incident in 911 was caused by terrorists taking over the planes and driving them through the building so it has nothing to do with suspected black holes or the world mysteriously ending!

    I reckon 2012 will just be another year where we all wait for the end but it never comes, that is my theory in this whole argument!
