That's only one state over from where I live! You can understand my dismay when I hear the words hick, redneck, and hillbilly when referred to our part of the United States. ;D
(It's sad that we are stereotyped thusly, isn't it?)
Any who... I'm sure you will find the Pokécommunity a pretty nice place to spend your leisure time. Just be careful, it just may start to suck up the time you allotted for other things too! Hiidoran sometimes stays on PC too long and forgets to do his homework.
(No worries though, I can always get it done before class! ;D)
