What console do you play it on?

its actually played on the DS, gamecube, PS2, and GBA.

So what kind of puzzle game is it?

well its very similar to tetris, except you dont clear a line, you clear pieces when you connect 4 of the same colour. connecting more than 4 results in a combo sending more garbage to your opponents side. you can also create a chain reaction when pieces fall into place and connect themselves after you've cleared 4. doing this sends more garbage to your opponents side as well. You can also offset garbage by clearing 4 before the garbage falls, by doing this you fill up your Fever meter, once its full, you go into fever mode allowing you to easily create large chains. Basically the point of this game is to fill your opponents stack to the top of the middle columns. (shown by the Xs) Also playing this on the DS allows a 4player and an 8 player mode not available on the other systems.

Oh yeah I have seen very similar games.
