I have a white macbook that I use for school and internet, and is is having a battery (I think) problem. It's not a virus, I know that, but it might have some other kind of problem. Can anybody help me out? I have it plugged into a wall, but it won't gain power and if the comp is unplugged, it immediately turns off. Is there any way to fix this, or does it need a new battery?

A quick search of similar problems seems to indicate that the only way people have gotten this fixed is by sending it off to Apple. =/ There's clearly something wrong between the power supply and the battery, so I doubt any homemade fix will help.

    Alright, thanks for helping anyway.

I had this problem with a Dell, it is (to my knowledge) caused by the circuitry, charging jack receiver or battery connectors being broken by some presumably forceful means, like dropping the computer repeatedly.

Well that's the likely cause if you're interested, Get Innocuous! gave you the only reasonable means by which to repair it.
