I'm no *awkwardly raises two fingers and folds them up and down* "scene kid," but I luuurv Tom Waits and Taj Mahal. I'm a blues enthusiast. Prokofiev, Beethoven, Tiersen, Satie and Chopin are my favorite composers. Oneida, The Books, and Boards of Canada are my favorite experimental artists...Jeff Buckley, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan (obv), and Thee Oh Sees are my favorite folk musicians...and my favorite lyricists are Daniel Johnston and Tom Waits again. My favorite alternative artists are probs Wilco, Blur, and The Pixies; and my favorite artists that could probably be classified under hip-hop are Ratatat and Tricky. (Ratatat being more experimental, but they've covered a lot of classic hip-hop tracks...Tricky being more of a beatnik.) Nirvana will always be number 1 in my grunge list, in front of The Breeders; and Iggy is my favorite favorite punk rocker.
