Pokemon General 'Pokemon vs Pokemon'

    It seems really pointless just to have a thread discussing X vs Y. @_@; I can see when you're building a team where you might want input on one versus another, but in most of the cases Pokemon General just has a bunch of random threads that compare two Pokemon. Do we need to do this for every single group of Pokemon that seem similar?

    Just my opinion, giving my feedback, etc~
     
    It's tapered off now to an acceptable point, imo. You weren't here in the summer before the "you can only compare two Pokemon that are actually alike" rule came into play.

    I don't mind them so long as there aren't a million of them again.

    Yeah Erica, it's not like it's super bad haha. Just seems to bring down the IQ a little bit. I mean Honchkrow vs Starapter? Aaaaack. There are so many bird Pokemon, why make us choose between just these two?
     
    ...I would consider that one of the unrelated ones. Like, the comparisons we allow are things like Ninetales vs Arcanine, Plusle vs Minun, Bidoof vs Rattata vs Sentret, etc. Ones that obviously have similarities or counterparts.
     
    To be totally honest, many members like them. And as lightning said, they aren't harmful as long as there aren't a lot of them. :\
    But I think that if there's a rule to make comparisons between similar pokemon, then this rule should be followed by everyone. *nods*
    (I actually didn' knew about the rule till now. XD)
