I saw a catch rate calculation so I tried it, but I don't think it's right. Either that or I'm not using it right. This is the calculation:
((4*TotalHP-2*CurrentHP)*(CatchRate*Ball))/TotalHP+Status=Result
There's a randomly chosen number between 0-255 and if this number is lower than the result, the Pokemon will be caught. In my case:
((4*37-2*3)*(45*1))/37+1=173.7
So 173.7 gives me a 68.12% success rate (according to my calculations). Yet I've thrown 40~ Pokeballs and failed to catch the Pokemon every single time. So is this calculation wrong or am I just really, really unlucky?
