  • After some harsh comments people made on my deck, I decided to make this thread. In this thread I'm going to need some help from you Yu-Gi-Oh card experts. I got six completed decks and two under construction. Here's one of my decks.

    Deck Name: Rotting Corpse Deck

    Melchid the Four-Face Beast
The Gross Ghost of Fled Drams
    Grave Protector

    Mystical Elf
    Big Eye
    Chaos Sorcerer
    Night Assailant
    Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
    Maha Vailo
    Ceremonial Bell
    Relinquished
    Wall of Illusion
    Summoned Skull
    Sorcerer of the Doomed
    Magician of Faith
    Aqua Madoor
    Neo the Magic Swordsman (x2)
    Witty Phantom
    Whiptail Crow
    The Illusory Gentleman
    Winged Minion
    4-Starred Ladybug of Doom
    Old Vindictive Magician
    Witch Doctor of Chaos
    Ancient Elf

MAGIC AND TRAP CARDS ? 32
    Enchanted Javelin
    Remove Trap
    Malevolent Nuzzler (x2)
    Gravedigger Ghoul
    Gift of the Mystical Elf
    The Dark Door
    Fiend Comedian
    Monster Reborn
    Graverobber?s Retribution (x2)
    Earthshaker
    Dragon Capture Jar
    Dark Spirit of the Silent

    Magic Cylinder
    Rush Recklessly
    Bait Doll
    Change of Heart

    good advice Pogi,

and might i suggest you limit your deck to 40 cards, for goodness sakes man this is not magic
    lol
and may i ask what your metagame is?

  • Dragon Capture jar is too situational so I suggest that be taken out. Also, Since it seems your deck focuses on mostly removing cards from play, your cards that focus on another form of metagame shoudl be taken out. FOr example, your life point gaining cards. Echanted Javelin and Gift of teh mystical elf work best in a life point deck. Take those two out.

Some of your cards I never heard of though. What is "witch doctor of chaos"? :\

  • Oh wow, never seen him before. But again, a soul release is an easier and much deadlier card. replace him for a monster with some real attack power behind him and throw in another soul release if oyu wnat to maintain the same strategy. Trust me on this. My deck had 2 soul release in it plus nobleman of extermination, two of them I believe, and graverobbers retribution. That get's out the cards you want removed from play without having to weigh your deck down with all these weaker cards.

  • For god's sake man, do you really need all those Yugi starter cards?
I'd just list out the cards you dont need, and i apologize for what I said in the rate and fix thread.

    > Whiptail Crow&Witty Phantom&NeotheMagicSwordsman&Big Eye&Gross Ghost >> Bersek Gorilla, Grandora, Granatos, (Im not recomending Gemini Elf and etc because those are hard to find), Opticlops, Neo Bug.
    > Enchanted Javelin >> Drain Shield >>> Magic Cylinder
    > DeSpell and all those stupid useless remove trap cards >> Mystical Space Typhoon >>> 7tool, M.jammer.
    > Respect Play >> Mind on Air
    > Maha Vailo >> Collected Power
    > 2Malovent >> Axe of Despair >>> Mage Power >>>> United we Stand

  • You should probably suggest mroe cards to take out than cards to replace. :\ With the way you suggested it, he'll hardly break that 60 card stack his deck is.

  • Here are some modifications to those suggestions. First off, Scratch Buster blader. NOt worth it. Also, Scratch Raigeki and HFD. Most people play by teh ban now adn won't tolerate the use of banned cards. Keep maha vailo over Collected power, because Maha is actually much better. Drop Enchanted Javelin all together, although a magic cylinder would be a good idea. So would a ring of destruction. For you're normal monsters, get somethign with an effect. I can't recommend anything specific about that right now, but I will later.

  • Grantatos has a special summon effect, Pogi. Those cards what I think are good. >.0
Grandora's effect is reasonable, when you summon it you get 1000 life points, when it dies, you lose 2000, if you have hade-hane (or hane-hane or whatever that reutnrs cards) and ultimate offering, kind of combo like this is quite predictable but helpful..
And for your precvious post Pogi, I meant take out the cards I listed and use your mind and brain to work it out, if you follow that stupid procedure you'd get about 10 more cards in your deck. Those are just cards I suggested to put in your deck, and the list of cardfs i prefer you to take out. If you dont get it then.. uhh.. maybe I was talking jargon right about then. >.0; Anywhat.. Ima go sleep now.

  • Thanx for your suggestions on the Rotting Corpse deck. You can still give advice on that deck while suggesting some cards to this one.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Deck Name: Everlasting Sea Deck

    MONSTER CARDS ? 34
    7 Colored Fish
    Dreamsprite
    Neo Aqua Madoor
    Red Archery Girl (x3)
    Cure Mermaid (x2)
    Avatar of the pot
    Mother Grizzly
    Sangan
    Island Turtle (x3)
    Skull Mariner
    Weather Report (x2)
    Sonic Bird
    Amphibian Beast
    Crab Turtle
    Aqua Spirit
    Maryokutai (x2)
    Great White
    High Tide Gyojin
    Metal Fish
    Deepsea Warrior (x2)
    Armored Lizard
    Penguin Soldier
    Witch of the Black Forest
    Ancient Lizard Warrior
    Amphibious Bugroth MK-3
    Terrorking Salmon

MAGIC AND TRAP CARDS ? 26
    Salvage
    Earthshaker
    Energy Drain
    Fairy Box
    A Legendary Ocean (x2)
    Drop Off
    Time Seal
    Giant Trunade
    Pot of Greed
    Michizure
    Seven Tools of the bandit
    Solemn Wishes
    Turtle Oath
    Malevolent Nuzzler (x2)
    The reliable Guardian
    Dark Hole
    Fake Trap
    Trap Hole
    Waboku
    DNA Surgery
    Light of Intervention
    Insect Barrier
    Premature Burial
    Rush Recklessly

    Total Cards: 60

    Strategy:
One magic and one trap card can protect me and my monsters from my opponent?s monsters. Using DNA Surgery, I can pick a type, which would be Insect, and I will use Insect Barrier, as it would keep my opponent from attacking me because they are now Insect types.

A Legendary Ocean card is this deck?s best friend.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next deck will be here on Friday.

  • Firs things first, take out the weather reports. Their effect is good under ony certain circumstances, and the best advice I've ever gotten was that if you can't use it almost immediately, then it's pointless and needs to come out. Also, you have WAY too many cards in that deck as well. and on a final note, that DNA surgery insect barrier combo works best in a deck that is mostly insects, if even there. Tehbets way to stop all attacks without such circumstancial cards is Prickle fairy and Dna Srugery, but agian that's best for insect decks. You really need to reduce the number of cards in your deck.

  • Thanks, Pogi. I'll keep those in mind. I'll be changing my decks once I've showed all six and here's one of them that could use some help.

    The Reliable Guardian
    Just Desserts

    Polymerization
    Gust
    Remove Trap
    Monster Reborn

    Total Cards: 60

    FUSION CARDS
    Thousand Dragon
    St. Joan

Strategy: Dreamsprite, Labyrinth Wall, Needle Wall and Swords of Revealing Light would be the cards to keep my opponent from attacking me while I wait for the right cards to summon St. Joan and increase its attack power. Time Wizard would come in very handy as well if I am to be stuck.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Suggestions anyone?

  • Time wizard is too great a risk to depend on. Also, most of your monsters are, again, too weak to support themselves properly in battle. Also, to depend on a single monster leaves a sever hole in your strategy: Not only is ST. Joan a weak trump card, but she's your only trump card. So if they get rid of her, which would be fairly easy to do, then you're left without a leg to stand on, so to speak.

If luck comes, I can summon or special summon both Blue-eyes and BLS on the same turn and increase their attack powers.

Dancing Fairy can counter the negative effect on Mask of Brutality.

Make good use of the cards that destroys Magic and Trap cards.

In an emergency, use Dark Hole or equip opponent?s monsters with Paralyzing Potion and use Eternal Rest or use other cards.

Dreamsprite can help protect Dancing Fairy.

Why am I not getting any help?

Sometime after the new year's, I'll have some new and improved decks. Thanks, everybody who have helped.
