As you all know that pokemon evolve and some do not, but you may wonder why is that.
    The big questions are
where does that mysterious white light comes from?
    What causes them to evolve?
Why do some pokemon need stones to evolve and others do not?
What is that mysterious white light that makes them evolve?
Why do some keep there form, were they supposed to be legendary's?

Give your thoughts or your opinions on what you think.

  • Probably is the wrong forum, but i'll answer a few questions anyway.

Where does that mysterious white light come from?
No idea, probably just the energy being released that is changing their forms. It's also a cartoon, so...

    What causes them to evolve?
Some pokemon need to mature, some may have excess power that grants them a higher form.

Why do some pokemon need evolution stones to evolve and others do not?
The evolution stones have stored power that may help a pokemon get the power it needs to evolve, or it unblocks the clog that won't let them evolve. Maybe the pokemon just reacts to something in the stones, likely the energy, that grants it a higher form.

What is that mysterious white light that makes them evolve?
Again, not sure, but again, it's probably the excess energy that's being released and changing their form.

Why do some keep there form, were they supposed to be legendaries?
Perhaps they are completely mature, perhaps they've already maxed out their abilities, perhaps they don't have the energy or abilities needed to evolve.

    Just some quick theories.

Like the above two posts stated, this is a thread more suited for Pokémon General. I'm going to go ahead and move it over there, but guys remember to report the thread instead of mini-modding in the future.

  • Where does that mysterious white light come from?
Well yeah, most likely, its probably the excess energy that pokemon exhibit, when they need to evolve; not only their physical appearance change, their higher evolutionary stage have different, and usually more powerful base stats than their predecessors, may have different moves that can be learned, and sometimes change their types, though usually at least one of the types of the previous form is preserved.

    What causes them to evolve?
Well pokemon are related to real life animals, which are more akin to metamorphosis, so maybe pokemon needs to evolve to mature and adapt more to their environments. There's also the experience that makes most of them evolve when pokemon defeating other pokemon too.

Why do some pokemon need evolution stones to evolve and others do not?
Perhaps their genetic code is irregular to pokemon that evolve through maturity and experience; like for example Eevee; the pokedex from pokemon Yellow says: "Eevee has an unstable genetic makeup that suddenly mutates due to the environment in which it lives. Radiation from various stones causes this Pokémon to evolve." So perhaps the radiation and energy that the stones give off help certain pokemon with different genetics evolve.

What is that mysterious white light that makes them evolve?
Its the energy that helps them to evolve most likely.

Why do some keep there form, were they supposed to be legendaries?
Perhaps they are mature enough, or their genes make it so they don't have to evolve. they probably have the genetic codes they need to adapt well into their own environments, and are mature to live in their natural form.
