Simple question, really: what songs would you like to see covered and who by?

I was listening to Aloe Blacc's 'I Need a Dollar' for about the seventh time today (it's seriously gone and earwormed its way into my brain!) and it struck me that this'd be a perfect song for Adele. The main hook requires quite a distinctive set of pipes, and it's a relatively soulful number that could use a bit of interpretation in order to fulfil its best qualities. She might even be able to rejig the ending a bit, as that's the one area where the original falls flat in.

    What 'bout everyone else?*

*Remember the new rules, peeps. Especially the NO LISTING RULE! :D

Hm, I'd love to hear a Dire Straits cover of "Blue Sky" by the Allman Brothers Band. Mark Knopfler has always been one of my favorite guitarists and I just know that he would do justice to the epic guitar solo that makes up the bulk of the song. Plus, Mark occasionally utilizes licks and riffs that have a southern feel to them so I think his style of playing would fit perfectly into a song written by, in my opinion, one of the greatest southern rock bands of all time.

@CatDog, I know what you mean about that song. When the album was first released that was the one song that I just couldn't stop listening to. And I know it isn't a cover, but I have a song that samples that song as the chorus and its pretty good. Its called Rasta Monsta (feat. Aloe Blacc) by Marky. (If you search HypeM.com you should find a free download...legal of course :) )

Personally I would love to hear a cover of Adele's new song "Don't You Remember" but I don't know who would be able to give it the justice it deserves. :/
