    Hey guys,
I'm not really new to Pokemon, I actually played every game since Pokemon Yellow. But after so many years, I still don't know the difference between Attack and Special Attack. I thought Special Attack is for like Fire and Electric type attacks, but why does Darmanitan do so much damage with Fire moves if he has a low Special Attack and a high Attack?

    Ho-Oh

    used Sacred Fire!

This section is only for questions about the community, buut. I had this issue too - ask in one of the stickies within the various gaming forums next time (you could've used Black and White's Quick Questions, since it relates to a B/W Pokemon). Basically, special attack = non-physical, aka anything that the Pokemon doesn't physically touch with its body, if that makes sense, whereas attack = direct hit with body, which is a physical attack so like brick break for example. If you'd like to know more, sites such as Serebii have little icons next to the attacks indicating if they're special or not, so you can pretty much see from that, too :3 So no, typing doesn't make a difference. XD
