View Full Version : The Imperfect Wish (PG-16, and meant for pure fun)

May 24th, 2005, 4:08 PM
Has anyone, your parents, teacher, or maybe even a friend, ever told you to be more specific? Details are key in a lot of situations, but more so in this story of magic, mystery, and wonder.

What starts out as just an ordinary day, turns into a nightmare, as you and your group of friends fall into an ancient underground chamber buried beneath the city park. There, you run into an entity of sorts, that grants each of you one wish. You each make your wish, and everything goes black. The next thing you know, you find yourself in your bed. However, the saying "Be careful what you wish for" pops into your mind when you find that since you weren't specific enough, your wish isn't exactly what you wanted, and now you have to live with it!

Now, what will you do? Will you try and find a way to fix things, or will you continue life normally, well, as normal as can be at least...

Now, I know I don't have a great in-depth plot, but this RP is meant for kicking back and having a good time if you get my frift, but RPing rules still apply, and I do still reserve the right to kick anyone not up to my expectations.

"What are you talking about, Spencer?" Saphira shouted, standing in her doorway. She had just woken up, and hated being disturbed in the morning process of catching up with the rest of the world. Spencer was disturbing her. She didn't like it.

Spencer tried to hide his smile but was doing a bad job about it. "I... uh... borrowed your manga, and my dog... er... ate it..." He cracked up, laughing at the look of anger, disbeliefe, and annoyance plastered on his older sister's face.

"You're dog what?!" She was really mad now. "I'm going to strangle that thing!!!" She dashed past Spencer, into the hall, calling Shadow in a somewhat calm voice. The dog not being that smart walked up to her, wagging its tail. "There you are!"

"Wait, don't hurt her!" Spencer came flying from nowhere, tripping Saphira and telling Shadow to run. Saphira struggled against Spencer's death grip, trying to get to the scottish terrier. It just sat there watching the two humans in amusement, oblivious that one of them was trying to kill her.

A scene from this morning.... >_>'

May 26th, 2005, 2:29 PM
OOC: I believe we have enough members to start.

IC: Lousy day... definately a lousy day. Well, at least yesterday was. I had only just woken up on this bright Saturday morning. No really, it was blinding!

"Reanne!!!" I cried as I jumped up out of my bed, landing with a thud on the floor. It took me a minute to regain my focus, and notice my 18 year old sister with a flashlight standing above me.

"Serves you right." Reanne stated coldly, as she tapped the flashlight in her right hand over and over again. "Anyways, your friends called, they want you to meet them in the park."

"Whatever..." I replied as I finally stood back up again, and went into the bathroom to get dressed. As I undressed, I noticed a large black bruise on my right leg. I must have gotten it when I refused to hand over my lunch yesterday. That's right, they hit me after...

After exiting the house in my casual clothing, I headed towards the park, where hopefully I could have a good day.

May 26th, 2005, 2:34 PM
I was sitting on a bench near the entrance to the park, playing a game on my Nintendo DS. A lot of people had made fun of me for it, but I ignored them. Mostly, I was too involved in my games to notice. Either way, it achieved the same results. Today though, I was a bit more alert, looking around. Suposedly, some of my friends had decided to meet me in the park. This wouldn't be the first time I missed something like this because I was playing a game...

May 26th, 2005, 2:45 PM
"No.... I don't wanna wake up... Go away..." I muttered, rolling around. Spencer was attempting to wake me up, and I didn't want to. Of course, I never wanted to.

Spencer grinned. "Alrighty," He said, "But brace yourself." He left my room. All was quiet again. Sweet silence... I could sleep some more.... But, it was too quiet. Way too quiet. I opened one eye. I wish I hadn't.

Three scotties came charging at me, Bonnie landing on my back, Shadow on my legs, and Robin pouncing on my head. They walked all over me as if saying 'You need to get up! Get up!!' I tried to ignore them, but it didn't work that well.

"Alright!!" I yelled at them, sitting up. They sat on the end of my bed, side by side, their tounges hanging out and their tails wagging. Looking like innocent angels. That would be the first mistake anyone would make if they looked at them. But, I still loved them. They were like siblings to me. Shadow started staring at Tessa, the overweight Golden Retriever, and Mozart, the mix-bred cat with too much fur.

"Oh crap!!" I jumped out of bed, got dressed, and headed outside on my bike, with Mozart, who loved to go for bike rides. I was supposed to meet some friends at the park. Hopefully, none of them were allergic to cats.

May 26th, 2005, 2:53 PM
"Hey, guys!" I called out as I saw Robin and Paige sitting on a bench on the distance. I ran to them, and stood in front of them, glancing down at Robin's game, before flicking her lightly on the head. "Can you stop playing for one, geez. And hi Paige." I finished, glancing over at Paige. "We only waiting for Saphira now then?"

May 26th, 2005, 3:26 PM
Saphira raced toward them, Mozart comftorably perched on her head. "Sorry I'm late," She panted, jumping off the bike, "Why'd we have to pick somewhere so far from my house anyways?" The park was almost a mile away from Saphira's house, and that wasn't so bad. It was trying to get there in five minutes that was. "So, whats going on?"

May 26th, 2005, 3:59 PM
"There she..." I was cut off as I felt the ground begin to shake. Was the combined weight of all four of us in one area too much or something? Me thoughts were confirmed as the ground below us gave way, and we fall into a deep pit of darkness. I think I was knocked out somewhere throughout the fall.

When I woke up, the first thing I noticed was a glow from torchlight, and my friends around me. I coughed slightly, and placed my right hand on my left shoulder. Great, I was bleeding. "Where... are we?"

May 26th, 2005, 4:03 PM
I had pocketted my DS just in time, and it looked like it had survived the fall. Relived, I looked up in time to hear David's words, and looked around, and my jaw dropped. "I seccond that questio." I mumbled, suprised. What the heck was this place? And what the heck was it doing underneath a park?!

May 26th, 2005, 4:10 PM
As soon as Saphira's feet hit the ground it crumbled beneath her. She fell though, with Mozart digging his claws into her head. She could feel blood. Saphira managed to pull him off, and now held him. More blood. This was great. Something hit her on the head and she lost conciousness.

"Oh, ****..." Saphira muttered, finally coming around. "Where are we?" The were under the park it looked. The light from the hole was barely a speck above them. It was amazing she had survived the fall. Mozart sat in her arms, trembling.

May 26th, 2005, 5:00 PM
"I have no idea, and at this point, I really don't want to..." Saphira said, still in shock. They had actually fell that far. What if someone else fell? Would they survive, too? Questions bounced around in Saphira's head. Someone would discover the giant hole and help them... They had to...

Mozart meowed loudly, and leapt out of Saphira's arms. He ran toward one of the walls, and suddently was engulfed in the darkness. It took Saphira's brain a moment to realize he went into a tunnel. "Wait, Mozart!!" She yelled, getting up and starting to run after him.

May 26th, 2005, 5:30 PM
"Saphira! Don't- Ow!" I had begun to chase after her, but had tripped over something, and had landed flat on my face. I turned around, and noticed a stone tablet on the ground, some weird glyphs glowing. Then, I hear a weird voice in my head.

What is your one wish... it asked me.

Naturally, I replied, even if I didn't know what was happening. I wish to be free from all the bullying and crap in my life! Then, total darkness.

May 26th, 2005, 5:34 PM
I heard a strange voice ring out in my mind. "What is your wish?" I thought I was just losing it, so I replied anyway "I want to be able to have more control over my life." then everything went black, I didn't even have time to think of fainting.

May 26th, 2005, 5:54 PM
Saphira fell to her knees. she had injured her leg in the fall... Everything was begining to go black again. Mozart watched the air above Saphira, his fur standing on its end and his eyes wide with fear.

What is your wish...? Asked a soothing voice. Saphira suddently felt calm. She thought only a moment. Animals were always there for her. They understood her.

To understand them, the animals... She thought, before blacking out completely.

May 26th, 2005, 6:03 PM
I finally woke up once more... to the sound of the busy streets? And what was that smell? I opened my eyes so that I could only see slightly, and realized that where ever I was, it was dark. My body hurt all over, and I felt like I had no energy what so ever. After a while, I finally got up, and realized why it smelled. I had been sleeping in a dumpster!

I grabbed onto the edge of the bin, and slowly and painfully pulled myself over. When I reached the top, I fell to the cold pavement below, and noticed I was in an alleyway. Sunlight from the street didn't reach this far.

I glanced down at my arm. I was wearing a light green shirt with a dark green collar, too large for me. So large, that it hung over to one side... and it was.. stained with blood. I then noticed everything seemed bigger. What was happening?

OOC: Well, he got his wish of being "free", kinda. He's now become this: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/Daiaki711/754.jpg living on the street.

May 26th, 2005, 6:37 PM
Saphira awoke to the sound of someone whimpering. It was Bonnie, as usual. "Come on, wake up!" She yelped, clawing at Saphira's face. Saphira pulled the blanket over her head.

"Do you think she's up?" Whispered a voice from above.

"No, but the second she yawns, drop on her stomach," Replied another.

Saphira looked up. Two, hideous, fat, cockroaches were above her on her cieling. She let out a yelp and jumped off the bed, landing painfully on her knee. Robin walked up to her. "Saphira, theres no more food in the bowl," He announced. Saphira groaned.

"Look, a bird!!" Shadow barked, standing on her hind legs on Saphira's bed. She was gazing out the window, barking at the bluebird who was building a nest. It yelled something at her, but Saphira couldn't hear it.

"Why can't I ever sleep in with you guys around?" She snapped, closing her eyes.

"Because we love you," Bonnie joked, sitting beside her. Saphira's eyes shot open. She stared at Bonnie, Robin, and then Shadow.

A whole minute of silence passed. One very long moment before Saphira sqeaked, "You're talking...." There was a loud scream followed by a few words that were in a mixture of German, Italian, and english. Mozart walked in, sitting on Saphira's bed.

"Of course we're talking," He said, flicking his tail about, "You just never listen."

Tessa walked in, stepping over Bonnie, who snapped at her legs. Tessa growled at her, telling her to stop. "So, Saphira, how about that food bowl?" She asked with a sweet smile.

OOC: Err... you never PMed me that part. Oo;; And i've already get two conditions that involve transformation of sorts. >.> I would have allowed it if you had sent me it in the orihinal PM, but since you didn't... o.o;;

May 27th, 2005, 3:00 AM
I would've fallen over by now, if for some reason my balance wasn't so good. My vision was blurring from the pain, but I continued to studder towards the street. I felt like I hadn't eaten a decent meal in days, and I was craving... garbage for some reason, like it was the only thing I had been eating my whole life. I let out a faint "mew" by accident, but thought nothing of it.

May 27th, 2005, 7:57 PM
I had gotten dressed, and moved out. I was firmly convinced it had been nothing more than a dream. I wasn't sure why, but I felt the need to walk. I moved around the streets slowly, relaxing at being outdoors. Then, I heard a faint mewing sound, and turned to see, well, I wasn't sure what I saw. It looked like a homeless little girl, yet she seemed to have cat ears, and a tail. Unfortunately, for some reason, my heart went out to her. "You poor thing," I said, turning to her "You look half starved." I said, hesitating only a moment, before saying "Come with me. I'll see that you get some care and at least a few good meals."

May 27th, 2005, 8:00 PM
Robin... Don't you recognize me? I thought to myself as I approached her. I didn't have the energy to speak, and the pain from lack of food in my stomach didn't help. I got to her side, and noticed she was now taller then me, instead of the other way around. I glanced up at her with eyes almost crying, before collapsing to the ground due to the fact that I couldn't even stand up anymore.

May 27th, 2005, 8:10 PM
I sighed as she collapsed. "Poor thing," I muttered, taking her up in my arms, and carried her to my apartment, which was suprisingly easy, since she probably hadn't eaten in ages. I frowned at the literal rags she was in, and sighed. I didn't have anything that would fit her. I set her down on the couch, and removing the dirty cloth, I layed a blanket over her gently, before tossing them in the trash. I decided to have some chicken broth and milk ready for the moment she woke up, hopefully, she'd be all right once she got a decent amount of food into her, and then I could see about the next course of action...

May 27th, 2005, 8:20 PM
That smell... food? I thought to myself in my slumber as I picked up the scent quite easily for some reason. The promise of food easily woke me up.

I opened my eyes slightly at first, and found that I was in Robin's room. I could hear everything so loudly though. I could hear Robin crystal clear from another room. It was cold... what was I wearing?

I suddenly had a coughing fit which notified her of my conciousness.

May 27th, 2005, 8:23 PM
"Oh, so you're awake are you? Just in time." I said, coming into the room with a bowl of chicken broth in one hand, a glass of milk in the other. I set them down on the table next to the couch, and placed a hand to her forhead to check her temperature. "You were in a bad state there, girl." I said idly. "I threw those rags away, I'll make sure you get some decent clothes. But now, you need to eat. Go on, you look half staved." I said, pausing for a moment, before adding "What's your name? I can't keep on calling you girl, after all."

May 27th, 2005, 8:29 PM
I listened to her question, then glanced down at the food prepared for me. I quickly dug in, making sure not to leave a single drop. The milk was especially delicious. When I had finished... I was softly purring? Had Robin called me girl?

I tried to speak, but I was having difficulty forming words, almost like I had forgotten how to talk. I finally got it right, and stood up. "I'm not a girl..." I said softly. However, following this, the blanket fell off revealing my naked body.

I looked at her for a moment, and sighed. my guess was that she simply didn't know what she was talking about, maybe trauma had confused her. "Look at yourself, I don't exactly see a masculine figure." I said softly, trying not to upset her. My heart went out to her, it did, and I'd do my best to help her. Of course, a visit to a therapist might be in order, too...

May 28th, 2005, 6:59 PM
"Look at... myself?" I asked her as I glanced down at my body, and almost fainted. That was definately NOT my body. "Wha... what's going on... " I cried before mewing again. Was I losing it or something? "Well, at least I'm human..." I muttered, trying to look on thr bright side. I had seen the upper half of my body, but didn't dare look past that. The smell of garbage fumes quickly took their place in the air once more...

May 29th, 2005, 9:29 AM
A boy named David had asked her if she would like to meat up at the park, after all these many years, she may be making a friend, though she very much doubted it. Everyone who had attempted to befriend her had always found her to weird to cope with. They had either told her face to face or took the cowards way out and ignored her afterwards. She was sick of it, but she tried none the less.

Throwing on her usual black coat, she grabbed her sketch book and said a shot farewell to her mother before slamming the door behind her. Walking down the drive, she noticed to her surprise that she was late. She eyed her watch suspiciously as it had shown her before that it was only early.

She groaned So much for making a new friendPerhaps I can still catch him before he leaves She mumbled, tucking her sketch book under her arm and walking briskly down the road towards the park, her heavy vans making a loud echo with every step she took.

The park came slowly into view and she could have sworn she saw small figures sitting on the bench. She sighed and took a deep breath Seams I caught themwonder what their like and if they will accept me for who I am No one from her past had accepted her for her quiet and abnormal behaviour and interests, what was to say they would be different.

Just as she closed in on the park, there was a sudden earth quake. She shook slightly before falling to the ground from the harsh shaking of the ground. There was darkness and then what seemed like light as she came to again. Groaning she stood up and whipped herself off, picking up her sketchbook and tucking it under her arm once again.

Looking around she found herself in an unfamiliar setting, darkness consumed the realm and she felt oddly welcomed by its embrace. She swallowed her fear instantly and took another eager look around, this time, she spotted an odd gulph lying on the ground and curiously she knelt down beside and was overcome by a voice in the back of her mind.

She gasped aloud and clutched her sketchbook tightly to her chest, lowering her head. The words spoke out clearly Make your wish they were harsh and demanding but Aisha found herself tempted to answer the question. Using her mind waves she answered rather shakily I wish I had a friend, a friend that would accept me for me

Granted the voice echoed once again, before everything blacked over once again and she was once again in my bed, back at homeback at home? When had that happened!? She sat up adorably and took a swift look around. It was pitch black and she wondered whether it had all been a dream. But it had felt so real, the pain she had felt when she had fell to the floor and the harsh voice that echoed at the back of her mind.

She brought two hands to her head and shook it lightly Am I going mad? She whispered, only to be answered by a light chuckle from the darkest corner of the room Of course not

Aisha gasped and turned wide green eyes to the corner in which the unexpected answer had come from. There standing in the corner, stood a boy, only about two years older than herself with dark black hair that glistened with the moonlight and scarlet eyes which stared warmly at her. He stood at around 67 and had an abnormally pale complexion, even paler that her own skin. He was draped in a long black coat and traditional Victorian clothing accompanied with black boots. Two sharp canines poked over his bottom lip and it was at that moment, Aisha noticed the Vampire was smiling at her.

She backed up against the headboard of her bed further and clutched the quilts tighter to her chest Youryoure a-

Vampire? He finished, chuckling. He slowly ran his hands up his body and patted his face Well what do you know, so I am

Aisha regained some of her strength and threw the blankets off of herself and stood up swiftly, backing away to the door But, they dont exist- what are you doing here, what do you want? So many questions she had for the young male, but he did not answer straight away, instead he took a few weary steps closer I am Vladimir. I am 470 years old and come from the Victorian age, the age I was turned into a vampire.

He stopped mere meters away from Aisha who had her sweaty palm was placed up again the handle of the door ready to run if she found need be What are you doing here She demanded, glaring at the Vampire having built up some courage at long last What do you want

Only to be your friend The Vampire answered curtly, whipping dust off of his cotton coat You remember the wish you made, right? Well I am that friend that you asked for, in truth I have been watching you for some time and I find you absolutely intriguing, your understanding of Vampirism, your interest in mythology and History, it is exactly what a girl should have He grinned, showing pear white canines I understand you, Aisha

Aisha, could not believe what the Vampire was saying You mean, my wish came trueI-I have a friend She stuttered, letting go of the door handle and taking a few cautious steps forward, placing pale finger tips against even paler skin Your real She smiled You are really real She let out an exited laugh and threw her arms around the Vampire who returned the embrace I had always dreamed of making a friend, but never had I thought that I would actually meat a Vampire She pulled away This is truly a blessing

The Vampire gave a genuine smile But of course, I will need blood to survive, if you are willing to give me your blood, I can stay, and believe me, I would very much like to he stated, staring down at the younger with adoration in his eyes.

Aisha nodded Of course

Ic: Saphira shook her head. This was all a dream. It had to be a dream. Animals could not talk. It was just some stupid dream that would end now...... Or maybe now.....

The dream wasn't ending. This wasn't a dream. This was weird. Saphira stared at her pets, eyes wide with confusion.

"Die, bird!!" Shadow yelled, trying to scratch her way through the window. The bird stuck out its tounge. Were birds allowed to do that? Bonnie jumped up, standing on Saphira's knee.

"Would you like to give us some food now?" She asked, up in Saphira's face. She nodded, standing up and walking out of the room. The dogs followed, jumping about and yipping with joy. Why were they always hungry? Mozart ambled out of the room, also hungry. He was just to dignified to go up to a human and ask for food.

Saphira poured some Iams into both the dogs' bowl and cat bowl, thinking about what to do about this. She decided to call Robin.

"Come one, pick up..." She muttered, listening to the phone ring. Please, Robin, answer...
